Sephora fell quiet again, The mushroma had been her best shot. But that wassn't specific enough...hhmm. |
Stacey raised her hand once more. "The Felix Felicis can cause giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence if too much is consumed." |
Kali thought and raised her hand, "Since the Babbling Beverage makes you just ramble nonsense, could leech juice be used? I think I remember the Confounding Concoction having leech juice in order to disconnect the mind. Maybe it works the same way in the Babbling Beverage." |
Novalus looked in his book cuase he had no clue until he found under the potion Shrikinh Solution Armadillo bile : adds humour. He then put up his hand " What about Armadillo Bile" |
"Felix Felices is a potion, not an ingredient but, your logic is quite good," he said before turning to the Ravenclaw girl who had spoken. "Excellent job, yes leech juice is an ingredient in the Babbling Beverage for the same reason it is an ingredient in the Confounding Concoction." |
Alanna wrote down Leech Juice under the name of the potion. Sitting back, she racked her brain in vain of other possible ingredients. |

Sephora jotted down Armadillo bile (also for Wit sharpening potion) and leech juice (also used for Confounding Concoction potion). Then she continued tormenting her brain, trying to come up with an answer. |
Can't hurt to look in the book again thought Novalus ooc: didn't want to post again Novalus flipped and found an ingriedient that may not make you babble but seemed useful in the power of it. he then put up his hand and said "Galangal found as an Antidote for Confounding Concoction Deflating Draft can be used to strenghten a potion, would you use it to make the babbling potion more powerful? |
Alanna finaly thought up a possable ingredient. Raising her hand, she asked, "Could the potion use Jobberknoll feathers? I think they were used in the Confounding Concotion." |
"Good thinking but, those aren't ingredients. The babbling beverage doesn't need strengthening and while it seems similar the Confounding Concoction, the two potions are different and don't share that many ingredients in common." |

"Maybe Aloe?" Sephra said carefully, more like a question. "It's used for luck and if you're lucky you're ususally bubbly." |
Novalus couldn't find nor think of anything else but put up his hand and was honest " I don't know what else could could be in the potion" |
Mandi sat quietly and listened to every single word the Professor said, while taking notes and thumbing through her book hoping to find out if there were any ingredients that hadn't been mentioned. Then she saw something and decided to give it a shot. "Excuse me, Professor but what about Ginger root? Could that possibly be an ingredient?" |
Lua eyed the professor disappointedly, she wasn't sure how to address the potion ingredients, she sat there in silence debating herself as she heard other students answer. Slowly she raised her hands and answered "does it have any sugar extract ingredients, something that should give the drinker an increase in energy" and blinking apprehensively. |
Victoria watched from her seat as the others talked about the ingredients. She couldn't figure it out herself and sat, watching everyone. She was still thinking, but was unsure where to start herself. So she remained silent, thinking to herself. Lua raised her hand and spoke. She nodded, it was a good idea. |
"Most people seem to be thinking that it would make the person who drinks it really hyper, and therefore, make them babble. But wouldn't it be the opposite? Maybe someone is hyper, but even then they seem more content to go bounce off walls. It's when someone is drowsy or in their REM stages of sleep that they tend to babble and say things they otherwise wouldn't. Even a hyper person has enough control to keep a secret." She said, explaining her guess of ingredient. "Does it have a relaxant in it...something like Lavender?" Rosalie asked hesitantly from the back of the room. |
Crystal raised her hand and asked, " Sir, wouldn't there be a certain amount of Ginger in the potion? Wouldn't it help to boost the the disconnected feeling the leechjuice induces and therefore increase the babbling?" she blushed a little bit; she had never gone out on such a limb before..she was usually just quiet and stuck to herself. |
Edaj wrote down quickly in a list "Ingredients" she'd made... she wrote Leech juice and Armadillo Bile under it. she thought hard, altho she had never heard of something like before, so she stayed quiet and just listened, writing down whatever she heard. |
Phoebe wrote down leech juice and Armadillo Bile. Then she raised her hand and said "Salamander scales be in it? I read in a book that it can cause confusion?" Phoebe asked shyly. |
Edaj thought some more.... "i know this is silly but water? water is always in potions, isn't it? i mean, dihydrogen monoxide? ooc: hehe our science teacher just taught us that the other day. BIC: Edaj sat, afraid that her question would be a silly one. she raised her hand again, "uumm.... would there be any actual edible ingredients to start with?" she sat down in her seat and shrunk, knowing that her questions would get laughs from the other students. |
Ayumi giggled, Edaj was probably right. Water was in almost every potion. "Perhaps Ginger root is used it is supposed to be a stimulant. Maybe a stimulant would keep the person talking." she said uneasily. |
Phoebe raised her hand again."Excuse me proffesor but I was told well acually read that the potion stops people from talking nonsence." she said puzzled. |
