Professor Branxton walked past the queue of students waiting outside the potions classroom and unlocked the door. He fixed it open and then made his way to his desk, allowing the students to enter and settle themselves.

ooc note: I'm going to leave this thread open overnight so that those who were unable to attend the class will still be able to brew their potion. I will not be monitoring the thread but, that doesn't mean that Professor Branxton is not here and supervising. Please don't blow stuff up or die while I'm not able to RP (also note that if you die in the RP, you can't participate in the RP for the rest of the term and you will need to create a new character to play next term as the current one will ahve died).

For those just coming in, we are brewing the Hair-changing Potion. The directions can be found in your Potions Textbook.

Then after those five minutes he stired the potion 20 times counterclockwise followed by 20 clockwise turns and placed the clear potion in the goblet next to him

Destiny noticed that she had 500ml of potion and she had enough for more than two uses.

Across the room she noticed shell with her potion and waved

Shell pulled out her hand mirror and gave a sigh of relief.....her hair was pillar box red......she felt as though she was flying the flag for Gryffindor..............

Meghan grabbed a moonstone from the front of the room. She then read the directions carefully, and than a second time over to make sure she had them correct. She then set out all of her ingredients and double checked that she had everything. When she was sure she started to make the potion.

She set up her cauldron carefully but while she was setting it up she slipped and a loud clang sounded as it hit the floor. She looked around apologetically and picked it up and started setting it up again. When she was sure that the cauldron was sturdy she set the moonstone in gently and than added the correct amount of water. She set it to boil for 5 minutes and while she waited she looked around at everyone else's progress.

Lola rinsed her hair in the potion and waited for five minutes. Five minutes later her hair started turning black. " Oh my god..." Lola said to herself," That is sooo cool!"

Shell giggled and wandered over to Destiny, 'look at my hair!!!' she said, and looked at Destiny's potion, 'wow, that looks great, try it out!!!'

knowing that there is only one thing left to do and decided to test his potion. after rinsing his hair in 200 ml of the potion, doug then waits 5 minutes for his hair to change.

5 minutes later:

"ACK!!!" said doug, seeing that his hair had not changed to the color blue like he wanted, but instead turned to hot pink. "well crap, this ain't good. i'm glad this potion only last no more than 48 hours."

Destiny couldn't wait to go rinse her hair and see the new color! This would be a big change for her compaired to her jet black hair! Yay she would be a BLONDE!!!!

After doing that Andrew dipped the tip of his wand in the goblet and said "Coloro" while concentrating on the color gold for his hair.

Vicky stirred 20 full strokes clockwise and 20 full strokes counter clockwise. after her stirring she placed her potion in her goblet she wasn´t sure if she had made it good or if it was right to continue but anyway she proceded to the others instructions

Ebony sat down and open up her potions book and read the intruction to the hair-changing potion. After reading it three times she began to make the potion, but before she mixed the potion she made sure she had all of her ingredients. She got 500ml of water from the sink. Then she used her brass scales to measure 2g of crushed belladonna and 5g of powdered nettles. After she finished that she line the ingredients up in the order the will be put into the potion. Ebony placed the moonstone at the bottom of her cauldron and then added the 500ml of water. She let the water boil for exactly five minutes and put in the belladonna and nettles. When she was finish with that she let it boil for five minutes and then she reduced the heat and let if simmer for another five minutes. Once the five minutes was up she stir 20 stroke clockwise and then 20 strokes counter-clockwise. When she was finish she poured the now clear potion into a goblet. She dipped the tip of her wand into the potion and said. "Coloro" and concentrated on the color purple. After she was finished with her potion Ebony sat down and waited for everyone eles to get done.

mandi looked around the room everyone seemed to be going ahead so she decided to go ahead and finish. mandi took out her wand and dipped the tip of her wand in. as she thought to herself "i want bright pink hair...i want bright pink hair." as she had her wand in the potion she said "coloro". she walked around to the side of her cauldron and started rinsing her hair in the clear liquid.

Shell looked disapprovingly at Destiny, 'blondes don't have ALL the fun' she said, then smiled and winked.....

i know that i was thinking blue, but for one split second i thought pink. i didnt think that it would make a difference. said doug

Rose giggled softly. "I guess, if the potion isn't too hot. I mean you will be rinsing your hair in it, so how bad can it be?"

Rose was unsure of what a simmer was, but she saw that was the next direction. She reduced the heat to what she believed was a simmer and waited for 5 minutes.

the 5 minutes had passed so mandi took out the mirror in her bag "oh my now that is PINK. mabe i should have went with a diffrent color." she giggled at herself and waited for the professor to come around.
