HoM II Forbidden Forest trip This is continued from the HoM Lesson II. You're more than welcome to pretend you were in class, if you just want to join in on the outside fun. However, please don't go crazy on me. We are having class dolls. :) Following Professor Lainey from the History of Magic classroom, you approach the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Lainey points to a small path and leads the way. "Everyone is to stay on the path and I think it'd be a good idea to go ahead and light your wands." Lainey smiled and led them in. "Keep up!" |
Linnea followed Lainey to the edges of the Forest and took out her wand, as suggested. Let no one say Lainey forced them into the Forest. She looked around as she entered. |
Jordana listened to the Professor and stayed on the path. She heard the suggestion to light their wands and did so. She took out her wand from her robes and said "Lumos". Her wand lit up and she continued to look around as she followed along. "This is so cool." she said to herself |
Hermy stepped behind Jordana as she listened to the professor. She was both excited and scared, so was relieved when they wer told that they could light there wands. Getting out her wand, she said "Lumos" and waited patiently in the faint glow. |
Julia stands at the edge of the forest, peering in. Eyeing the path, she sees many sticks and other items. She frowns. "I can't even do my rolls here," she says sadly, sighing quietly. She walks into the forest and takes out her wand, liting it as suggested. She jogs and catches up with Lainey, now walking side-by-side with her. She just lets her eyes wander. |
"Lumos," Alanna muttered as she followed the other students. Her palms were a bit sweaty, and she was nervous, although she knew she shouldn't be. Who knew what was in the forest? Even if they were with a Professor. |

lizzy followed the professor and lit her wand. she couldn't wait to hear more of the story. |
Lua followed professor lainey towards the forbiddon forest, this should be exciting! she thought. Before stepping into the path she eyed the snow carefully, this would be a bit difficult to walk in. Lua lit her wand and followed the student, waving her wand to both of her sides while struggling with her walk "Eh professor, can you do something with the snow on the path" she mumbeled "didn't know about the snow trip would've worn by snow boots, Yea" while her robes floated behind her getting soaked by the second. |
Luna quickly lit her wand as she enterd the forest with the professor. She looked around edgily. it want that she didnt trust professor lainey, its just she had never been in the forest before and was quite nervous about it, She smiled as the excitement of actually being in the forest took over her nervousness. |
Meghan followed the professor slowly. Gulping only slightly. She thought she heard a noise so she whipped around pulling her wand out at the same time. Seeing nothing she turned and kept following the professor. Silently she was punishing herself for being so paranoid. |
Lainey nudged Julia with her elbow and winked. Then.. Lainey turned around and shouted "Booooo!" to her students. Some jumped.... and Lainey cackled. "You all look like you've never been in here before. I was a student once, I know you lot come in here even when you're not supposed to." Lainey laughed and continued on. "I promise to take good care of you all. There is no need for to be frightened." Lainey smiled and turned her wand downward, trying to melt the snow as was requested. "We're going just a bit deeper now, so stay close." |

Lua almost fell on her face when the professor screamed, she was edgy enough. "Thank you professor" Lua said once she setteled her balance, and stepped into the clear path again. Eh deeper in the forest, does she mean take us to the core of the forrest! Lua pondered on the thought while staying vigilant to her surroundings. |
Lee trotted along behind everyone else mainly. He wasn'y all too scared but there was always that small sense of worry at the back of his mind. He knew Lainey would protect them to her second dying day, that he did know and respected and loved her for. A little discussion was indeed needed after this class, they couldn't continue like this. |
Luna jumped as the professor shouted boo, she tried to calm herslef and stop looking like a silly little kid, 'im a thrid year' she thaught 'I should be able to go into this forest and not be scared by a teacher saying boo'. She walked on through the forest raising her wand a little higher so the light beam stretched furthur. |
Linnea laughed when Lainey shouted boo. Luckily for her, she had siblings and friends that would try that on her, she didn't jump. She was used it stuff like that. She also managed to keep a straight face at being in the Forest. Linnea hadn't entered the Forest, per se, but her shadow had.......never mind nosey noses. Linnea spotted Lee behind her and she pulled his arm so that he was beside her. "What was that in class?" she asked him in a quiet tone, she had always thought Lee loved Lainey. |
Ebony jumped ten feet into the air when the Professor say Boooo. Then she started to laugh because she was scared for nothing. Ebony continued to follow the Professor farther into the forest, her wand in her hand. |
Mr. Thorn stood at the edge of the Forbidden forest observing the mystical birds that were swooping overhead of the massive oak trees, his husky, Sabertooth at his heels. Salem’s attention was diverted from the fascinating creatures when he observed a large line of students steadily following behind Professor Lainey, heading towards the forest. “Good afternoon Professor!” he said enthusiastically catching up to her, he give her a short and kind bow, “having a bit of a field trip into the Forest?” He asked giving off a small chuckle, “Mind if me and Sabertooth tagalong?” |
Lee simply smiled at Linny, "Don't worry about it. Its just a simple.... disagreement is all." Lee continued to walk on facing forward at all times just in case. |

"I'd rather enter this forest alone than face Virosha" she admitted to Lee as the grounds keeper bowed to Lainey. "Have you ever been in here before?" she asked him, "and be honest." |
Tina took a moment to look around, before discreetly walking with the class into the Forbidden Forest. She hadn’t been anywhere near this part of the castle before, and though she had always looked forward to it, she was still a bit cautious. Though she was following all the professor’s orders, her intentions were quite simple. The answer she had been looking for had to lie in that something…or someone that had hurt the thestral right in the forest. Though Dae acted as though she believed the silly rumor involving the hippogriff, Tina knew better. |
Lee smiled, "Well I got my next clue, we can discuss it later with.... no prying ears," Lee said looking shiftly around at the fellow pupils around them. "Funnily enough I have never been in here, its a bit of a new thing for me I guess." This however wasn't surprising as you always experienced new things with every year of Hogwarts that went by. |
Matt chuckled as the professor scared some of her students. Quite the sense of humor she had. He followed her along and looked around at the forest, frowning deeply as they reached one spot in particular. |
Sebastian had never been in the forest before, but as he was going with his Head of House, Professor Lainey, he felt a little more comfortable than if he had been dared to go in alone. He walked along, trying to keep close behind his History of Magic professor. |
Lua noticed someone very familiar (ooc: Tina), she walked up to her and poked her arm "its about time you payed attention eh" she whispered as she sped her paste to walk next to her, still studying her dark surroundings. |
Lainey blushed. She had been playing like a child with her students in front of another professor. But, with her head still bandaged from her last embarrassing fiasco, she didn't really have any respect to lose with the new gameskeeper. "By all means, please do join us. We're just going up to a little cave at the edge of the stream. You know the one I speak of?" Lainey reached down to rub his puppy's ears and kept the pace going. She wanted to be there before the sun went down. |
Quote:
"It isn't so bad in here," she mused, if only it weren't for the animals....er, what kind of animals are in here?" she asked as she spotted the Slytherin boy who knew all the answers. "You were talking to him in class," she said to Lee, well DUH, she thought, he'd know that, "what about, if you don't mind me asking?" |
"Pretty fluffy bunnies and squirrels live in this forest of course," Lee said sarcastically to Linny sticking his tongue out at her. Lee turned to face Matt as Linny mentioned him and then looked back round at her, "Well he was just asking about why I was being nasty to Lainey is all." Lee shrugged and watched Mr Thorn and Lainey. |
Mr. Thorn gave the Professor a wide smile and kept up alongside her, Sabertooth still following at his heels. “Thank you ma’am. I do know of that cave, yes.” He replied, “I might have stumbled across it when- Ah…” Not wanting to announce that he had entered into the forest a few times as a student back in his day, he said instead, “In a few of my explorations of the Grounds here as of recent.” |
Julia watches another professor join the class and walk right in front of her, him not obviously noticing that he shoved her out of the way. Lowering her eyebrows, Julia mumbles quietly and walks on the other side of Lainey, eyeing the other professor. She glances up at her Head of House, wondering what she would do if Julia 'accidently' tripped the man. As the class walks together, she quietly plots. |
As Matt walked along, he noticed the Hufflepuff boy from before with a Ravenclaw girl who kept glancing back at him. He walked quicker for a few steps to catch up to them. "You want something?" he asked, not unkindly or irritated in the least. |
Linnea laughed and poked Lee's side as he teased her. "Ah" she said as response to his treatment of Lainey. They'd work it out themselves, she was sure of it. Suddenly there was a voice beside them and Linnea jumped slightly, startled. It was that Slytherin boy she had, rather rudely, pointed/looked at. "I just hadn't seen you around is all," Linnea said in reply, "I was wondering what you and Lee here had been discussing. Although, I think it's amazing you know all the answers to the questions Lainey has been asking. I know I haven't heard anything about this Thomas. How do you know so much?" She inquired. She was inquisitive, and knew that curiosity was more likely to save you rather than kill you. |
Quote:
Tina smiled and raised an eyebrow as Lua walked over. "Paid attention?" she asked, teasingly. Yes, so it seemed that Tina almost always had something else on her mind but she couldn't help it. Her thoughts consisted many questions...hopefully she'd get some answers to them. Tina continued walking at a steady pace, her eyes lingering around the other students. |
lizzy followed the professor even further into the forest. the sky began to darken and the trail dimmed so lizzy raised her wand like a torch before her so she could see the other students and the professors up ahead. |
Emma was shaking slightly as she wasn't entirely sure that this little adventure was entirely safe, even if Professor Lainey was one of her favorite teachers. Nonetheless, she followed quietly behind, looking around her every few seconds. This dark forest did not seem very friendly to her, and she couldn't understand how students had the guts to come in here alone. And with all that was happening with those clues and the fact that the young man they were now studying was possibly -and very probably- Lord Voldemortist... It just didn't feel right. But Emma was not one to skip on adventures like these, besides, she could show it off later. |
While Mr. Thorn walked beside Professor Lainey, making an effort not to trip over his large pup that was trotting underfoot, he looked over to the Ravenclaw lass walking alongside Lainey on the flip side; judging by the look upon her face he could tell that something was bothering her, “Something the matter dear?” He asked in a sincere, concerned tone. As the trees began to thicken overhead, blocking out most of the sun, making the path dim as they made their way farther into the forest, Mr. Thorn extracted his wand and gave it a little jab then held it out in-front of him to light the path ahead. |

candace walked along trying to hear over the chatter of her fellow students as they walked around the grounds. |

The cave came into sight, most of the light was shaded now, and the stream could just be heard over the sounds of the footsteps. Lainey, quite elegantly, lit a small fire near the mouth of the cave. "Julia, collect some rocks if you will to keep the fire at bay. The rest of you should try and find something to sit on around the fire." Lainey went for an old stump and rolled it over towards the fire. "A good stump will do! Hurry now and I'll tell a little more on Thomas." Lainey slipped her shoes off to warm her feet by the fire and watched her class scurry around. "Don't go too far looking though!" |
Whende looked around her for a moment, then shrugged and plopped down on the ground, shivering slightly as snow soaked her legs. It would be fine, just as long as she stayed as close to the fire as possible. |
"Well it appears we are stopping here," Lee said answering Matt's question. Lee removed his wand from his robes, "Wingardrium Leviosa!" Lee said levitating three other stumps to his side for himself, Linny and matt to sit upon. |
Julia approaches the cave and peers into it. It was really dirty, though that was expected. Looking over at Lainey, she nods and walks away from the cave entrance. "Okay, professor!" she replies quite cheerfully, despite the fact that she had just been in a plotting mood because of Thorn. She wanders around outside, gathering up her rocks, and wondering if Lainey asked her to do this job because Julia was special, or if she wanted to keep her busy so that she wouldn't harm the man in any way. After a few minutes of gathering rocks, she peers around the forest. It had started to get a little bit darker now, and that made Julia want to go on an adventure. Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, she walks towards the campfire with the rocks. She puts them around the fire, then grabs a rather large nearby log and sets it down a few feet from Lainey, then sits on it. Then Julia just stares into the fire, her mind racing. |
"Thanks," Matt replied, sitting down on the stump and looking toward the professor. He was actually quite surprised so much was known about Thomas Duskurk. |
Brittany quietly sat down on a dead log nearby and fiddled with her thumbs. The forest looked very errie at this time and she would not like to be stranded here...the very thought sent chills down her spine. Switching her position on her log, Brittany looked at the vivid dancing firelight that reflected on all the dark trees and into the dense wood of darkness. She slid down farther on the log more toward the fire. |
Mr. Thorn shrugged and gave a small sigh as the Ravenclaw girl ignored him, figuring it best to not press the matter any further as she seemed to not want to talk, he continued walking in silence. When they had all arrived at the cave, Salem listened to Professor Lainey’s instructions, smiling as he did so. At the mention of finding something to sit on, he looked around the clearing; spotting a small boulder, which he transfigured into a nice stump with a hollow center and rolled it close to the fire. He sat down and gave a small whistle in call to Sabertooth who trotted over and laid down to the right of him, Salem stared into the bright, dancing flames for a good while, allowing his mind to wander a bit as he did. |
Sitting as far away from the fire as she could while still in hearing distance of Professor Lainey, Alanna found a rock that was fairly flat and positioned herself comfortably on it. |
Erin rolled a rock somewhat close to the fire and sat down on it, ready to get warm and listen to the story. |
Linnea shrugged as the boy responded to her, she smiled at Lee, "Thank you, Lee," she said in response to the stumps he had gotten as she sat down on one and looked around. "I wonder why we stopped here?" |
Sebastian pushed a small boulder around a small ledge in the cliff, getting it as close to the fire as he could in the crowd. He sat on it, thinking about how uncomfortable it felt on his rear end. He shifted a little, waiting for Professor Lainey to begin her story. |
"Everyone settled in?" Lainey asked, wiggling her socked toes at the fire. "I brought you all here because it goes along with another mystery of Thomas." Lainey pointed to the cave behind her. "Many think this next story happend right here at this cave. I'm not so sure, but who am I to say?" Lainey stood up and circled the fire as she began to talk. "The story begins with a Yule Ball. I'm not sure all of you are old enough to have ever attended a Yule Ball, but it's basically just a dance. Boys, usually, ask a girl to go. In this case, Thomas asked a young girl to go. Like I said before, Thomas was very focused on his studies, and his own agenda, so I'm pretty confident in saying that he just chose this girl to be his date. Not to be a girlfriend." Lainey cleared her throat and continued after picking up a large stick and poking the fire a few times. "This girl had a bit of a reputation though. She was a gossip and known to be heavy on the exagerations on her stories. Cute girl, I'm told, but not many listened to her for obvious reasons." "I'm sure you all know a few people like that?" Lainey laughed. She sure did. "But anyways, this girl, she took up following Thomas. She liked him. He was, afterall, a very handsome young man. One day, she followed him into the Forbidden Forest and kept out of sight. Some say... they came to this very spot." Lainey grinned and pointed to the cave... |
Linnea couldn't help but nod. Of course she knew someone like that. Several someones more like. She made a funny face. The girl followed Thomas? Hmph, wasn't much of a woman then........then Linnea remembered her activities of her first year, following Riyon. But....that was for information, he had been stalking Riiya....did it really matter that he and her had later.....she forced herself not to think of it. Linnea looked around. A cave. Caves could hide things. Important things. Important things have happened in caves. She felt herself wrap her arms around her body as if she were cold. |
Julia listens to the story intentively, her eyes following Lainey as she walks around the campfire then pokes it. After awhile she goes back to staring into the fire, watching it crackle. She shoots a glance at the cave behind them, looking into the darkness of it. Raising an eyebrow, she looks back into the fire, waiting for the professor to continue. |
Sebastian nodded to himself. He knew quite a few people like that around the school, some that he wished he did not know. He leaned forwards, trying to get more warmth from the fire. He was interested in what Thomas was doing at the cave. Surely, such a smart person at that age would not go wandering through the Forbidden Forest alone, unless there was a powerful reason behind it. |
Matt looked over at the cave and had to stiffle a laugh. That cave? Surely people wouldn't think that Thomas would chose a cave so close to the edge of the forest to go to. |
Serilda cocked an eyebrow. Cave? she thought. Hrm...interesting.She stared at the fire, watching the flames dance in the wind. |
g_g liked being where the action was...literally where it was. though the place was a bit scary, she pictured the scene on what might have happened here. |
Tas' eyes widened as she felt fear creeping down her spine. She turned to Lainey and looked at her with a shock on her face, then turned to the cave again. She was more than sure now that her theory was right and she promised herself to go to the library right after the class. |
Crystal had never ventured into the Forbidden Forest, and still wasn't sure she wanted to be here. She never missed class though, and her fears weren't enough of an excuse to miss a class. She listened to the story Professor Lainey told. *I wonder why he chose her.....* Crystal thought. The more she heard about this Duskurk boy, the less she liked him. She shivered a bit, and moved a bit closer to the fire and the people surrounding it. |
lizzy listened intently. she wondered what happened to girl or if anyone really knew what happened. she sat closer to the fire warming her hands on the naked flames. |
Edaj sat and listened, not speaking but wanting the professor to go on. |
Phoebe listened waitinig for the proffesor to continue exited that they weren't in a classroom. |
Edaj moved over to Phoebe when Professor Lainey wasn't paying attention, she thought, "hey i dont' know about you but i dont' understand any of this" she said ooc: and what about dolls? *looks at first post* |
"Now the story I'm going to tell you is from the girl's version of what happend that night. So, whether or not it's true or just another extravagent tall tale, I do not know. I imagine only Thomas and the girl know." Lainey levitated a big log over the students' heads and on to the fire. The sparks shot way up in the air and for a moment each face was illuminated bright. "So, she followed him to a cave. Maybe this cave, who knows? And she hid behind a large boulder near the cave and watched as he started adding things to a steaming cauldron. Supposedly, next he began chanting a complicated incantation over the cauldron bubbles." Lainey looked around a shifty look on her face. "According to the girl, a specter rose up from the cauldron...." |
Lee smiles at the story, its a good interesting tale not one he wouldn't reread if he could. He suddenly turns to his side and shakes Linny all of a sudden screaming "Boo!" in her ear. He laughed so hard that he fell of his stool. |

"wow" lizzy said to herself. this story was getting better and better. history of magic was definitely her favourite class. she listened intently to the professor. |
srimathi was very interested in the story.she said softly to herself yennado atha.and continued to take notes |
Erin watched the fire, mezmerized both by the flames and the story. She wondered what would happen next. |
Brittany shivered...the chilling story sent goosebumps up and down her arms. Leaning closer to the fire, Brittany pondered upon the story..stories often did stretch the thruth sometimes but then again, this sounded truthful. But shaking her head she leaned in listened intently. |
Matt was smiling as he listened to the story. Professor Lainey was quite the storyteller. He was wrapped up in that so, when the Ravenclaw girl was suddenly in his lap, he let out a surprised, "Hey!" Before he could decide whether to push her to the ground or help her up, she scooted off his lap and fell on his feet instead. "You okay?" he asked, holding a hand out to her. |
Phoebe raised her hand slightly embarresed, "whats a spectrum proffesor?" She asked. |
Emma listened to the story intently, eyes wide. |
Lainey stared at her class. Most were completely wrapped up in the story, and then there was her prefect, Lee, and Matt causing chaos. "Linnea I'm surprised you let Lee get you like that. If you really wanted snuggle time with Matt, I suggest you do it on your own time. Now where were we." Lainey winked at Thorn and continued with the story, answering a question as she went. "A specter, Phoebe, is a ghost like creature." Lainey knew all about that, she thought quickly to herself. "An apparition if you will. A mist of sorts." Lainey nodded, and started circling the fire again. "Thomas looked extremely excited about his accomplishment. But in a flash, his mood changed. He seemed disappointed or angry as the specter began to hiss. Then, once again, the mood switched. After a few minutes, Thomas smiled and started hissing back to the specter. Things seemed to be going well for Thomas.... when, they both seemed to sense her presence..." |
Rave was completly absorbed in the story Professor Lainey was telling. She wanted to know all she could about this boy before she wrote her parents. She glanced over at Matt just to see if he was as interested as she was. |
Sebastian didn't want Professor Lainey to stop temporarily. He wanted to know what the specter was, what would happen, but most of all, he wondered if that girl was Professor Lainey. Either that, or the girl had blabbed. On or the other. And if she had blabbed, not many would have lived to tell the story of it, more than likely. |
Quote:
(ooc: girls, I know Matt must be devestatingly handsome, but it was Linny who fell on him, please check posts before yours before RP'ing something you didn't do/didn't happen to you) bic: Linnea finally got her face under control and back to the proceline white it usually was, and she tried hard to forget what had just happened, knowing that it'll come back to haunt her, just like Last term's CoMC lesson..... She allowed herself to listen to Lainey's story. |
As Professor Lainey paused with the story to which Mr. Thorn had been quite wrapped up in for the past several minutes; Salem gave a small chuckle at the pair of students who seemed to have upset themselves as a Ravenclaw lass had ended up on the floor somehow. He smiled at Professor Lainey and refocused his full attention to her as she recounted the story. “Hissing to one another?… sounds like a bout of parseltongue to me…” He thought, looking over his shoulder to the dark cave and back again to Lainey. He leaned slightly to the right and scratched Sabertooth behind the ears. |
g_g gave a slight shiver. "Hissing? he must have been a parselmouth..."she thought. then she wondered, "Sensed her presence? so does that mean she followed the guy?!" |
Crystal was listening to the story with great interest now. "A Parselmouth? Who could coujure up spectres of snakes?" She asked herself. This boy must have been a very powerful Dark wizard, to have these abilities. She found herself wanting to go to the Library to look up all she could on young Thomas Duskurk...she wouldn't be sastisfied until she knew all there was to know about him. |
lizzy pondered what happened to the girl."i hope she was alright" she thought. as the flames crackled lizzy felt warmer and warmer and waited for the professor to continue her enchanting story. |
Brittany scooted closer to Emma on the long log. She hugged her knees to her chest and swayed back and forth. This story was giving her the creeps all the way out here in the dark but she needed to know what happened.. |
srimathi became more interested in the story |
"Thomas and the specter turned and looked in her direction! Then, there was a bright flash of light and several minutes later, when she could finally see, the specter, cauldron, and Thomas were gone!" Lainey told them, taking a deep breath afterwards. She went back to her log and had a seat. The scariest part of the story over now, she continued. " She crept out from behind the boulder and entered the cave where she found what looked like an office." Lainey pointed to the cave behind them. She was going to let the explore the cave a little after class was done. "There was parchment, runes on the cave walls, various ordinary potion ingredients, a bezoar, and some unusual and illegal items. The girl even claimed that Riddle's famous diary was inside, with the hole in it and all. Spell books, too. Probably the most intriguing though... was what looked like a human finger bone, the girl reported." "She ran back to the castle and blabbed the whole thing and everyone shrugged it off as her telling tall tales and trying to get Thomas in trouble for not going out with her." Lainey laughed at the last part. "If you promise not to go too far, you're welcome to explore this cave. Though, I must tell you I have my doubts that this would be the cave young Thomas used, assuming he did use a cave at all." Lainey motioned to the cave, slipped her shoes back on, and went in first. |
Julia listens with interest to the story, then giggles once it was over. "Sounds pretty emotional to me," she says, snickering. That had become one of her most used sarcastic lines. Quickly hopping to her feet, Julia follows Lainey into the cave and walks side-by-side with her. The cave was pretty... dark. She points her wand at the ground to watch where she steps, hoping to find something interesting. |
Alanna was a little apprehensive about wandering about in some cave by herself, but she muttered "Lumos," and started walking deeper into the pitch black of the cave. |
lizzy stepped inside the cave. shelit her wand as alanna had. "lumos" she said clearly. her wand glowed bright. she dark stone walls cold and it ave lizzy a shiver down her spine. |
Zekk walks around the cave. It looked pretty cool, since he hadn't been this deep into a cave before. He looked at the walls, with moss and some had cracks. It was pretty cool in here, he pulled his coat around him. |
Running her fingers along the cold stone walls, Alanna wondered what had been in here before them. Did some sort of animal herd unique to the Forbidden Forest make its home here, or was it always empty? If there was an animal who had lived here, she wasn't quite sure she wanted to know what it had been. There were so many creepy things in the forest, she didn't want to think about it. |
Emma was breathing heavily when she entered the cave, fear had taken hold of her. As soon as she lit up her wand, she followed closely behind Alanna, a girl she knew as a 2nd year Slytherin. She chose her steps slowly and carefully, making sure not to lose sight of the girl in front of her. It would be absolutely horrible to have to face that spectre or any other creature one would find in these woods. Suddenly, Emma heard a growl, well, it was probably the wind or the echo of another student, but either way, she jumped and started shaking. She put her hand on Alanna's shoulder for comfort, to know that someone was around. If Alanna had not been there, she would've probably started crying. Even now, she had trouble to keep the tears from dropping. It was strange, for Emma was not the kind to believe these stories. But today, she felt a presence, perhaps it was only her imagination, but she definitely felt it, and she was scared. |
Sebastian didn't budge. He wasn't going inside the cave, unless some huge monster came out of the forest and chased him into it. Usually, he was not afraid of things like this, but this time it was affecting him a lot. |
As she walks, Julia nearly trips over her own feet. She glances up at Lainey to see if she noticed, then smirks. Sneakily, she gently creeps two of her fingers up Lainey's back, as if a bug was crawling up her robes. I guess this is one way to find out of she's scared to be in this cave, Julia thinks, waiting to get some reaction out of her favorite professor. |
Rave stood up and dug around in her pocket for a moment before pulling out what appeared to be an emerald ring. She and Lua had found a chest buried in the greenhouse last term that was filled with various artifacts. Professor Virosha had let them keep one thing each and this ring is what Rave had chosen. It keep the person wearing it at a comfortable tempature no matter how cold or hot it was, and gave light. The professor had told her it was an Auror's ring. She slipped it on and followed the Ravenclaw girl she knew as Julia into the cave. |
Linnea frowned at the end of Lainey's story. She was pretty certain that this wouldn't be the cave Thomas would have used. If one was going to own and do illegal activities, one would not be so close to the entrance of the Forest. She just shrugged, however, and began to follow a few of the students before turning back to the two boys with her. She gave a look that said volumns to Lee and turned to Matt, "I wanted to apologize, again. I did not mean to.....bring attention to ourselves in such a manner. I hope you will forgive me as I am not usually so jumpy." |
Lee got up giggiling to himself and walked up to Linny, prodding her in the side "awww poor wee Linny." Lee laughed some more and turned to say to both of them, "Come on lets go and... investigate.. woooooooooOOOOOOOOooooo." Lee whipped out his wand and said 'Lumos' which erupted light from his wand, in which case he went into the cave. |
Quote:
The cave was pitch black except for the light the wands provided, which seemed like two small candles in a huge, empty room. Alanna was a very startled, and she knew it showed. |

Alanna was a little taken aback when Emma started crying, but she did the only thing she could think of. Putting her arm around Emma's shoulder, she led them over to the wall. "There. Now we have something behind our backs," Alanna said, relieved that there was one less side to watch. "We could head back the way we came, stay here, or go on exploring," ahe said a minute later. Truthfully, Alanna wasn't too thrilled about continuing on, but if Emma wanted too, she would go with her. ooc: Sorry that took so long for me to reply, my mom took over the computer. :D |
