She practiced stopping. She approached another flag, moving out of the way first, she pulled back her broom to stop. She waited and then said "Yes! Finally I get it!" She began flying the course again.

Ayumi breathed a sigh of relief as Professor Devine turned her in the proper direction. She shakenly finished the course and landed on the ground with a splat. :dizzy: "Oh man, I think flying is not for me." Ayumi said as she contemplated if she actually wanted to continue taking flying lessons.

Sylvia hopped on her broom. She began the course pretty shakily, barely flying under the blue ropes and going too high on the reds. When she was approaching the middle of the course, she was rising and ducking with ease.

Allie dipped and turned, but she was careful not to get into trouble. She went over the reds and under the blues easily now. She had had trouble before but now she was good.

Paul looked around at the students. "Okay, now that everyone has done the basics of flying in three dimensions, I'd like everyone to try a new activity. I'm going to fly around the pitch, and I want yerselves to follow me as precisely as ye can." Paul waited for the rest of the students to get ready, then he took off in the air, moving slowly enough that the students could follow him easily enough, but weaving through the air in various patterns.

Hermy kicked off into the air a short distance behind the instructor, and try to follow as closely as possible the route taken. She was feeling more confident after tackling the rope course, and turned her attentions to watching where she was going rather than just focusing on how to move the broom to change speed and direction. She just wished that the weather had been a little nicer, as her wet hair hung loosely around her face, with her fringe hurriedly scraped back out of the way.

fuj took off and followed the instructor

Allie took off to follow the instructor. She followed his every move. She stumbled on one but she got right back on track again.

Ayumi waited for a bit before following after everyone else. She managed to follow slowly, she was doing an o.k job, even though her turns were wide. After following everyone for a while she eventually got it, and began gliding through the air more confidently, turning properly and smoothly transitioning as the clas went up and down.

"Hey this is kinda fun." She said as they flew around.

Phoebe kiked of following th line behnd Ayumi. She was gaining her confindence so she said "hello." to Ayumi.

"Hi o'", Ayumi responded to the girl behind her. "Hey I can talk and navigate. I'm getting better."

Paul finally came to the center of the pitch and landed, waiting for everyone else to do the same. He nodded and clapped his hands loudly. "Aye, now then. We've all learned the basics of flying now, so I want everyone to do a good five laps around the pitch following the obstacle course now. Once ye've done that yerself, go ahead and go on back to the school. So, right now we've got three points fer everyone that's taken part so far, so we'll add another three fer everyone that flies the obstacle course again there."

Anastasia took off and flew the way sir Paul had shown and in a few minutes she got back, landed and thanked sir Paul for the interesting lesson, then put the rainrobe and the broom down, then headed to the castle to have some sleep because the common rooms had been repaired

Hermy kicked off from where she had stopped to listen to the instructor. She did the course again, with each of the five laps becoming faster and easier. She gained in confidence and tried to ensure that all her moves were as accurate as possible, especially as she wanted to try out for the quidditch team next year. After the fifth lap, she came to a gentle stop, and dismounted her broom. Returning her rain robe to the chest, she thanked the instructor before trudging back up to the school to dry off.

Andrew walk out into the open and watched the students take there flying lesson

srimathi landed behind the professor and then following his instructions started off to do 5 laps.the first lap did not go smoothly but as she did the second and third her flying became better and better.she was sure she would be chosen to play for hufflepuff.with these thoughts she finished her 5 laps

fuj finished all the obstacle course perfectly this time, and walked back to the castle

Rose hesitantly settled on her broom and slowly ascended into the air. She saw the other students whiz around with ease and agility. Rose, however, was struggling to maintain her balance. Her long robes were interfering with her ability to stay on the broom. Rose almost fell off a few times, and this was while staying still in the air.

She tried to go forward, but it was with such force that she tumbled over the back of the broom, luckily she gripped the end and hung from there.

Rose looked at the ground and was very frightened. She struggled to remount the broom, but couldn't get back up. She looked at the grass, "It doesn't seem to far down, and it looks soft enough," she said to herself. She closed her eyes and let go of the broom.

The Ravenclaw girl landed with a soft thud. She sat up, a little dazed, but unharmed. Rose didn't think she was cut out for flying. "Um...Professor? I think someone might need to grab my broom," she said. She looked up at the broom hovering 5 feet above her head.

Allie followed his directions and flew speedily around the pitch. She was getting good now. She flew Five laps following the course.

Erin got in line after landing from following the professor. She then kicked off and made her way around the pitch 5 times following the course. Each lap came a little easier, and by the end, Erin was enjoying herself. The feeling of flying almost made up for the weather and she almost didn't want to go inside and dry off.... almost. She made herself land and go in by thinking about a warm fire.

Alicia, a terrible flier, had to take the obstacle course several times more than the other students before executing the manuvers with ease.

Sylvia began to fly arond the pitch. Sylvia might have been just imagining it, but the sky seemed to clear up a little. She flew around the pitch 5 times before leaving and going inside.

Davina did five laps around the pitch and head off to the castle.

Paul rounded up the students and yelled loudly enough to everyone to be heard over the rain. "Aye, that's well enough there! Alright then everyone, that will do it for today 's lesson, so everyone can well enough head back to school." He looked to the students and indicated they could leave, adding at the end, "Everyone review what we've learned today and in our last lesson! We'll be reviewing next lesson and everyone should be prepared because we'll be finally covering some more advanced topics ourselves then!"

lizzy leant forward and touched down to the ground, unmounted her broom and lert for the castle.
