DADA Class 2 Rae bustled into her classroom, whistling. It was dreary outside, but the classroom fireplace was crackling merrily and the room was warm and bright. She covered her mouth to hide the smile, but there was no helping it. She propped teh door open and settled behind her desk to prepare for class and wait for the students to arrive. |
Rave walked into the DADA classroom and sat down in the front desk. She saw Professor Rae hide a smile and asked politely, "Excuse me but whats so wonderful Professor? If you dont mind my asking Maam'" |
Julia classically does her James Bond rolls into the DADA classroom, and she takes a seat right at the front. She looks up at Rae and notices a bright smile on her face. Well... it's a good thing that she's in a great mood, she thinks as she takes out her materials for class. "Hello Professor Rae," Julia says after a moment. "How are you this... lovely day?" She decided to call it lovely since she seemed happy, and the smile was making Julia wonder what was so exciting. |
"I'm just pleased to be here with you today," Rae answered before attempting to hide her smile again. "And how are you all doing this lovely day?" |
marissa walked into the classroom and took a seat at the front of the class. |

Kay walked casually into the classroom and slipped into an empty desk a few seats behind Julia. "Good day, Professor Rae," she said brightly and reached into her bag, taking out a very old and fragile-looking book. She carefully sat this book on the desk before her whle digging through her bag, looking for some parchment, her quill and ink bottle. |
"What have you brought today, Kay? It seems a bit... too valuable to be your Defense text." She waved her hand and grinned again. "I just called your Defense text something like trash, didn't I?" |
Julia begins to giggle quietly as the Slytherin girl and Rae speak. She turns around and watches Kay walk in and sit down, and she gives her a friendly wave. Turning back around, she flips through her blue notebook and searches through her notes. She comes to an empty page in the DADA section, the page after the notes from last class, and Julia waits quietly for class to begin. |
Rave was about to open her note book when a sparkly something caught her eye. Her jaw dropped. "P-p-professor Rae? Is that an..an...an engagement ring?" she asked with eyes wide and fixed on her professor's left hand. |

Rae jerked her hand under her desk and blinked stupidly at her class. "Maybe," she hedged. "Why don't you... get out your wands and quills? Yes. Good plan." |

Julia raises her eyebrows at Rae, resisting the urge to laugh, and also resisting to urge to ask questions. She slips her wand out of her pocket and shoots a glance at Kay, then looks back up at Rae. |
marissa took out her wand and quills but she new professer was lieing!!! |
Sylvia walked into the classroom and took a seat in the middle of all the rows of desks. She did notice the professor's unusaul happiness, but didn't but in and ask about her mood. If professor Rae wanted us to know why she was so happy, she would've told everyone already Sylvia privately reasoned as she got out her wand and quill. |
Ellen enters the classroom and sits on her desk, quickly pulls her wand and takes iton the desk and after that, looks in her bag and pulls a quill and a piece of parchment. then looks at professor and says: " hi professor, what is the subject of our lesson today?" |
marissa smiled at the girl sitting beside her professer rae is getting married!" she said. |
Mandi walked into the classroom and took a seat over by the window. Then she noticed that the professor was smiling happily. She thought to herself that this is gonna be a good class today and she started smiling too as she took out her wand and her quill as instructed. |
There was a strange glint in Kay's eyes and her jaw tightened as she slid the book off the desk and slipped it into her bookbag. When her hands returned into sight, she had her wand in her hand and placed it on her desk. |
Rae stood and came around her desk, wand in hand. "Those of you who are not familiar with me are going to here this for the first time. Those who have had me before... I apologize if this sounds redundant. You know this is important to me, and so we must talk about it again. I want to start today's lesson discussing magical and non-magical defense. Why do you suppose it's so important to me?" She waved her wand hand and kept the other tucked inside her robes. |
Serilda came and quickly sat down next down in the back of the classroom. She took out her ink, quill, parchment, textbooks, and other books and set them on her desk. Putting her shoulder bag onto the floor beside her leg, Serilda took her cloak off and hung it onto her chair. She pushed her glasses higher up the bridge of her nose and took her wand out. Twirling it as she waited for the teacher to start the lesson, Serilda leaned against the back of her seat. Serilda raised her hand. "Perhaps you want to start the lesson as so because you're interested to see how knowledgable we are to protecting ourselves in various dangerous situations that require tactically analysis before commencing in fighting. You want us to be able to defend ourselves in both the magic world and the Muggle world," she said. |
Solitaire raised her hand. "So we can understand how serious this class is and what we might be up against in the future." |
Kay raised her hand. "It's important for witches and wizards to know how to defend themselves using magic and nonmagic methods, as well as identify which method of defense is more appropriate, given the situation." |
"Those are all good reasons to discuss both magical and non-magical defense, but I think Kay gave the most complete answer. Five points to Ravenclaw. Magical defense will always be preferred, but there are always times that you should know how to deal with things in a non-magical way. Can you give me an example of a time that non-magical means would be preferred?" |
