Who: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor
What: Quidditch Match
When: January 20, 7 PM EST
Where: School RP Quidditch Pitch
All students need to be aware that sportsmanship is expected at all times. All SS rules apply during the match. Only members of the Quidditch teams playing and the officials may post in the match thread. The Quidditch stands will be open during the match so you can cheer your house or favorite team.
Each player stepping on the pitch needs to review the Quidditch Rules posted in this forum. They need to follow the officials and their captains instructions at all times, also. Good sportsmanship is required at all times. The last rule is to have fun. Good Luck to all teams.

Gryffindor scores and edges the game to Gryffindor 30 and Slytherin 10. Exciting game has been play in many a term here on the Hogwart's pitch. Look over the south end of the pitch could it be....yes it's the snitch.

The Slytherin Keeper makes a great save to keep the score for the moment at 30 - 10 in Gryffindor's favor. There has been a problem with the snitch question. We are meeting now to make a decision to what will occur as the result of the problem. The match is suspensed until tomorrow at noon (EST). A decision will be posted both here and in Captain's Locker Room when it has been reached.
Both teams played well and the sportmanship shown was outstanding. Great job, both houses. See you tomorrow at noon.

Our Quidditch rules already outline the penalty for a player answering out of position. Ozzy answered out of position. The penalty is therefore according to the above, the "assigned points" and in this case that is the first step towards the snitch. The ruling then is Gryffindor has the first step of three towards the snitch.

Welcome back to the second session of the Slytherin vs. Gryffindor Quidditch match. Our current score is 30 - 10 in favor Gryffindor. A penalty resulted in Gryffindor's first step towards the snitch.
