You knock upon the door and a baritone voice bids you enter. You step into the mahogany shelf-lined room and look around. The shelves cover nearly every inch of wallspace, save for the fireplace. The shelves are lined with all sorts of books, parchments, jars, vials, and boxes. There is a fire in the grate and upon the fire is a cauldron bubbling with a thick green liquid. Just a few feet from the door, you bump into a leather chair, placed before a large mahogany desk which matches the shelves. A tall, salt and pepper haired, man dressed in black robes with glasses sits behind the desk. He pulls off his glasses and takes a hankerchief out of a pocket. He gestures to the chair with the glasses before cleaning them and placing them back on his face. "What is it you would like to speak with me about?"

Emma was done, her card was pink, the nice shade that was all over her robe. When you opened the card. Hearts bounced all over the place just like bubbles. Only once you read the card would they return back in their original paper state.

We love you Professor Branxton!!!!!
You brew the best potions!
With ingredients from across all oceans!
Your an awesome Professor!
With a Secret Admirer!
(Yes that last line is definitely right!)

She slipped the card under the office door, and quickly ran away.

Katie saw Emma running down the hall, steadied herself and walked purposefully toward Professor Branxton's office. "Good, the door's shut," she thought. She took a deep breath and quickly slid the Potion Master's valentine underneath the door.

It was a glittery red heart that read:

Dear Proffessor Branxton,

Remberalls are red,
Cornish Pixies are blue,
As a Potions Master
I think a lot of you!

Rave saw ANOTHER student come near her Doyle's office. 'Thats it. The next one that comes near the door gets it.' Rave thought taking out her wand. She opened the door slightly and waited for the next student who dared come near the door.

"Tarantallegra!" Rave cried before the words were even out of the girls mouth. Rave laughed cruely as the image of the girls legs danceing uncontrolably. Thats what would happen if the spell hit her. 'Well thats what she deserves for trying to get near my Doyle. Like that stupid Professor Lainey' she thought to herself.

Rave scowled as the girl walked away. 'Well what does she expect. Comeing to see my Doyle even though he has me. Shes almost as bad as that crazy Professor Lainey!' Rave thought to herself. She retreated into the office again to await the Professor.

Professor Branxton approached his office and noticed his inbox overflowing with pink parchment. There were even some notes pasted to his door, some singing rather loudly. He waved his wand to quiet them and walked into the office where the Slytherin student he'd sent to his office was waiting. There were even more notes on the floor and on his desk. He groaned and placed fingers to his temple and rubbed. "Yes, now Miss... I do apologize, it's been a trying day and I cannot recall your name."

"You dont remember my name Doyley dear?" Rave said with a pout "I cant believe that Lainey was calling you that but I rather liked it." she added with a giggle "As for my name I'll tell you once but I expect you to remember it. My name is Raven Zirconia Stone but, of course, you can call me Rave." As she said this Rave got up and leaned her head against the Potions Masters chest.

"Ah yes, Miss Stone, how could I forget," he said, wondering how he was going to get this student to the Hospital Wing. He pulled her off his chest and sat her down in the chair before taking his own chair. "Now..." he frowned at the pink parchment and just shoved them all in the bin next to his desk.

"Now what Doyley dear?" Rave inquired loudly. " Is anything wrong? Are you sick? Are you feeling down? Should we go to the Hospital wing?" Rave asked all of these questions seriously and as fast as she could with a look of extreme concern on her face.

"Yes, now that you mention it, I am feeling quite ill," he said, thankful for her bringing up the Hospital Wing and not quite lying about the feeling ill part. "Perhaps you could escort me. I'll award you ten house points for your effort."

Mithos knocked on the Potion's Master door with his homework. His card had such a strong aroma that it made nearly impossible for him to inhale. He wondered why Professor Lainey had asked them to write a poem for Professor Branxton. He'd rather have to write an essay on the giants war or something.

"Enter," Professor Branxton called around Miss Stone. The smell of perfume wafted in as soon as the door started to open. He groaned and removed his glasses, leaning his face into his hands, elbows on the desk.

Mithos pushed the door open and walked to the desk where the Professor was. He didn't looked good, he looked tired. "Professor," Mithos said giving him the card "Professor Lainey, made us do that for homework. The content is not fancy but it's the best I could come up with." He gave Professor Branxton time to read it before he continued. "You don't look very good..."

Still dressed in her Quidditch practice robes and looking a bit wind-swept, Kay slowly walked toward Professor Branxton's office. She was not eager about the task she was about to perform, but it was an assignment that her head of house gave to the students and she was not one to question the motives of a professor.

Finally she reached the door which appeared to be open. Kay hesitated when she heard two voices and took a deep breath, hoping to steel her nerves as she was about to go about the unsavory task. She stood in the doorway and knocked on the door, peeking in the office. "Excuse me, Professor...oh, I'm sorry for interrupting your conversation," Kay stammered and just stood there in the doorway not knowing what to do next.

"No, I don't look very well at all," he frowned as he read the card. "Ten points from Ravenclaw. I expect at least a modicum of respect for your teachers, no matter how oddly they may be behaving. And no arguments or it will be detention," he said, moodily, gesturing for the boy to leave his office.

He groaned as yet another student walked in. "Please, just come in and get it over with," he sighed, massaging his temple again, eyes closed. "Nevermind, just wait a moment," he said, forgetting all about the exam. "I'll be back in a moment."

He left with a stack of papers, leaving the students behind in his office.

Mithos shrugged, at least Professor Lainey would think his poem was creative. As he turned around to leave Professor Branxton left the room and he came to face Kay. "Lainey's homework?" He asked her.

Kay stood in the doorway in shock. '10 points deducted for following another professor's directions?' she thought. Professor Branxton's voice jolted her back to the moment and the reason why she was there. She nodded and took a few steps into the room just as he walked past her carrying a stack of papers.

Looking over at a shocked Mithos, Kay nodded her head at what the boy just asked her. "Um, yes. Lainey's homework. I thought that I'd better get it over with," she said as she walked over to Branxton's desk and placed on it a rolled parchment tied with a blue and bronze ribbon.

"I can't say. The old man reminds me a bit of Borr. Everything that doesn't seem to be appropriate for a student to say to a Professor will result in detention and this and that." Mithos laughed "Homework for History of Magic is done." Mithos turned around and looked at his card. "What in the name of Merlin?!" Mithos said covering his nose. "That parchment I bought smells too good." He left the office as fast as he could. A couple more minutes and I'd be impossible for someone to enter the office.

Kay smelled something, too, and it wasn't the fresh and intoxicating smell of freshly cut grass. She pinched her nose hoping to block out the smell. "Eewww...what is that rancid smell?" Her eyes began to water and she ran out of the office, slamming the door behind her.

Rave growled at the Ravenclaws insult to Professor Branxton. She whipped out her wand but before she had a chance to speak and incantation, he had run put of the room and down the hall. Turning to the girl she knew to be Kay she was about to do the same because of the unforgivible insult to her beloved's office, but again the girl was to quick. 'Thats it. If one more person comes near that door and insults my Doyley, I'm going to hunt them down and hex them till nect week!' Rave thought ot herself 'I'm sure Doyley will understand if I have to leave for a bit to defend him.' Rave decided to wait one more hour, if no one showed up by then then she would simply go after the people who had just been here.

Professor Branxton arrived back at the office. "What is that smell?" he asked, unable to step inside. "Nevermind, I'll get the house elves to take care of it, come along, Miss Stone," he said, holding out his hand for the girl. It was time to get to the Hospital Wing.

Rave was slightly dissappointed that she wasnt going to be able to get revenge on the two students but that dissappointment disappeared as Professor Branxton held out his hand "I agree Doyley dear. To the hospital wing!" Rave said lovingly as she took the professors hand and left the office with him.

Angel walked into the Professor's office. "Um.... Professor Branxton, I just got here yesterday, and I was wondeing if I could catch up on any lessons or homework? I'm sorry I've missed so many classes but I was just wondering if I had any chance of passing the potions exam? Can I get any extra credit in here?And may I say I am very happy to be in the Slytherin House!" She finished saying. Then she thought she talked to much and just at there staring at Professor Branxton, waiting for his reply.
