You knock upon the door and a baritone voice bids you enter. You step into the mahogany shelf-lined room and look around. The shelves cover nearly every inch of wallspace, save for the fireplace. The shelves are lined with all sorts of books, parchments, jars, vials, and boxes. There is a fire in the grate and upon the fire is a cauldron bubbling with a thick green liquid. Just a few feet from the door, you bump into a leather chair, placed before a large mahogany desk which matches the shelves. A tall, salt and pepper haired, man dressed in black robes with glasses sits behind the desk. He pulls off his glasses and takes a hankerchief out of a pocket. He gestures to the chair with the glasses before cleaning them and placing them back on his face. "What is it you would like to speak with me about?"

"Not at all," Professor Branxton waved off the house elf's apologies as he started taking an inventory of his supplies. It was always a tedious job but, he dind't like to be short-handed and he tended to be a bit paranoid about the loss of supplies around all these students.

Professor Opteryx sauntered down the dungeon corridor towards the Potion Professor's office, humming lightly to himself. As he approached the door, he saw that Branxton was actually in this time, as opposed to the last few times he'd dropped by.

"Oh well, another day..." He sighed to himself, then turned around and left.

Doyle made notations on a clipboard as he went through each shelf and cupboard, recording every book, jar, and item in his office. He even opened up his special safe and went through everything inside of it. Then, he sat down at his desk and used a special charm to analyze the recordings. It checked his previous inventory and the list of supplies he'd used since its recording to the new inventory. There were some discrepancies. Some discrepencies that didn't sit very well with the potions master at all. He made notes about his findings and folded the parchment, placing it in his pocket before exitted the office and sealing it off.

Sabrina walked toward the Potion Master's office. Noticing the door was closed, she looked around. Noticing a small box near his door, she placed her Valentine on top of it. It was on pink parchment with a picture of a heart with two cupids fluttering around. She added a small bag of Honeydukes chocolate and then scribbled a note:

Dear Professor Branxton
Happy Valentine's Day! I just wanted to give you this valentine, which says that you're a great teacher who makes learning fun. Thanks for all you patience, hard work, and determination that you show toward your students

She turned around, whistling a song as she walked back down the corridor to the common room.

Ozzy stood before Professor Braxton's door, he sighed before knocking. "Professor?" He asked uncertainly and waited for the Professor to allow him enterance into his Office. "Merlin... I should not be doing this..." He thought to himself as he waited, fighting an inner battle with himself.

After a while he decided to just leave the card in the Professor's little box beside the door. When and if he reads it he will see a black peice of Parchment with little animated Green and Silver snakes outlining it. and will see:

Dear Professor Braxton,

You are a superb Professor and Potions Master.
One of the Best Head of House's here at Hogwarts that I know.
I admire your ability to be cool, calm and level-headed with all us students.
Even if we can get a bit... Bratty and self consumed.

Ozzy Avifors Thorn.
One of your 4th year Slytherins.

Ozzy shrugged his shoulders, he poped the little chocolate he'd gotten in the History of Magic class he had just attended and made his way out of the Professor's corridor.

Julie arrived at professor Braxton's office straight after History of Magic lesson.

The card was pink and filled with perfume and had chocolate stuck on it. In the middle of the card with confetti is written the famous quote by Shakespear
Love from one side hurts, but love from two sides heals.

The card is bewitched to sing very lowdely a muggle valentine song whenever the card is opened:

Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On jupiter and mars

In other words, hold my hand

Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more

All I worship and adore

The door of the office was sealed, apparently the professor wasn't there.
Julie wanted to make sure that the professor gets it.
She got a really good idea.
She used the sticking charm on the card and stuck it open on the door.
This ensured he gets it, the card was singing lowdely and it echoed all over the dungeon. Julie danced her way back up to the gryffindor common room

Stacey noticed as she got closer to Professor Branxton's office a couple of students delivering their Valentine cards. She followed suit behind one of the students in leaving her card in his box also. The card read:

Roses are red
Violets are blue
You're a great teacher of
Potions and brew.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Love, Stacey (1st year student)

Inside the card was a picture of a cauldron with confetti added to the inside of the cauldron to make it seem as if it were stirring around.

Rose tapped Professor Branxton's ofice and slipped in. She left a card in his card box that read:

The best potions master of them all
Is sure to catch me before I fall.
His looks, personality, and charm
Will protect me from all arm.
I put my heart in his hands,
Because he always understands.

He's so bright, cool, and bold.
His lovely smile and glistening eyes

Afton saw the door open. She knew the potions professor was currently in the headmistresses office. She giggled and sliped in. She placed a large pink valentines on his desk and grinned. There was pink glitter hearts all over it and chocolate kisses in a box next to it.It started saying 'I love you' every time it was opened. It said

Dear Professor Branxton,
Your the best potions master ever. Your the only one i look up too. Happy Valentines day.

Love,
A gryffindor 7th year, AKA a secret admirer.

She blushed madly and ran out.

Jessica entered the professors office, carrying with her a pink parchment. Seeing as he was not in, She stepped forward and held onto a large valentine. The valentine had a portrait of Lainey, waving and kissing on the cover. The portrait was surrounded by dozens of sparkley and glittery hearts. The inside was covered in glitter and hearts and a pop-out heart was in the center, with the words 'I love You' on it, in white glitter words. She stepped back, holding back her laughter. The large and sparkly valentine looked odd, sitting on the Professors desk. Shaking her head in amusement, she left the room.

Laurasia neared her Head of Houses door unable to control her blushing. Not because she was smitten by Professor Branxton or anything along those lines, but because she had been assigned to create a Valentine for him by her History of Magic professor. Valentines were never really her thing & she hated poetry. Not to mentiont that it wasn't even Valentine's Day which made the assignment even dumber. How was she supposed to write poetry if she hated it? And to sing the praises of any Potions Master other than Severus Snape! No one ever had, nor ever would, compare to Severus Snape in her mind. She decided that a simple letter would have to do...

Romy stood in front of the potions masters office, she took a deep breath and put out her homework for History of magic I need the housepoints, I want the points her head was deep red at the moment she put her valentin card on his desk.Romy foldet it up so the Prof. could read it. She took a last look on the silver-green glittering card who was perfumed.

Dearest Prof. Branxton

you are the greatest potions master of all
if I could I would wirte it on every wall
you are soo wonderful - and this is true
that's why we all love you.

I love you - I want to shoud it out
very loud.

Her head turned even redder, it's just homework, just homework she was telling herself.

Nabiya stood outside the door of the Professor's office. She was trying not to burst into a gale of laughter, but this was too funny. After a few minutes she walked in the already open door and placed a letter on top of the pile of letters already there.

Rave skipped down the corridor towards Branxtons office. She peeked in the open door and the smile on her face quickly vanished. The Professor still wasnt back! She sighed and went to put her valentine of his desk then thought to herself 'I have waited long enough to give him this. I am going to give it to him in person if I have to search the whole castle!' Rave's smile made reapperance as she skipped back down the hall calling in a sing song voice "Professor Braaaaanxtooooon"

Rave walked back to the Potion masters office and muttered the password. She felt elated that Professor Branxton would trust her with the password to his office. As she peeked around the office she descided to set her valentine, which she still had in her hand, down on his desk. She sat down in the chair on the other side of the desk and waited for the professor to make an appearance.

She ran toward the closest office and to the person who would know what to do with Afton. Running up to the door, she noticed it was closed. She knocked on the door and waited. Hearing no answer, she quickly penned a note:

Professor
When you get this, please go to the hallways. There's a student there who is acting very strangely, almost like Professor Lainey.

Ooc: Never Mind! They ended up in the hospital wing.

Ozzy was nearly running with Roma to his Head of House's office, still stuck to her side. "I lurve my Fianc'e, she lurves me too!" He was singing all the while. He raised his other arm that was not entangled with his Romikkin's and nocked a bit louder than he had intended to upon Professor Braxtons door. "Professor Braxton! may me and my fianc'e have a word with you?" He called through the door in a sing song voice.

After a while of not getting a response from the Professor he figured he was out. "So romikkins, shall we just wait untill he comes back?" He asked his Fianc'e and chuckled wildly and gave her a very small kiss which ended for too quickly for his liking.

Roma did not kiss back, nor did she enjoy the kiss very well. Only Ev was on her mind. If they saw them right now, he would flip. She didn't blame him for doing so either. "Yeah, we'll wait...errr....fiance!" she answered, faking a smile again. Oh no. Proffessor Branxton...PLEASE get here soon! she thought to herself pleadingly, not being able to spend one more second with Ozzy all on her.

After a few seconds, she was getting desperate for him to come back. She just wanted to slam down his door, go up to him and scream 'THERE'S SOMETHING MAJORLY WRONG WITH OZZY!' but figured that was too rash in a situation like this. Luckily, she had great patience.

Adrienne saw that the door to the Professor's office was closed. She didn't want to wait for his return, so she slipped the valentine, in all its red and glittery and confetti-y spendor ........
