"You are correct about an increased rate of growth however, this solution is not ingested, it is placed over the spot where you wish the hair to grow," Professor Branxton replied. "There are no other side effects but, I am sure you can understand what an inconvenience it would be to have your hair growing at the rate of 6 inches per hour."

Emma scribbled down all this information eagerly.

Then Emma thought about the dirt that Professor Branxton had mentioned. "The dirt, sir, also has nutrients, a stimulant of growth." She said with her hand raised, annoyed that she could think of anything except nutrients.

Serilda wrote her notes down; she was very interested in this lesson.

Yurio looked around to see what everyone was doing. Alot of people were taking notes so he copied them. He wrote down all the ingredents everyone had said and Kaitlin's theroy on the dangers of the potion being brewed badly.

Sebastian smiled. It would be a little bit of an inconvenience for such a thing to happen. Taking his quill, he scribbled down some notes on his parchment.

"Yes, very good. Dirt is symbolic of nutrients and growth. Along similiar lines is grass. Now, can anyone give me a summary of what ingredients we have so far while we continue to brainstorm?"

Julie answered "Professor so far we have rat tails and peanut butter only as part of the ingredients of this concution".

Lumus added..."dirt and/or grass as well." He was trying to write and listen at the same time, but it was difficult.

Lumus tried again with his question about the energy source"Professor, is there some sort of energy source which might also aid the potion, add a charge so to speak?"

Serilda jotted some notes down and thought; she raised her hand and said, "As well, we have water and sunlight."

David said ''We have rat tails, peanut butter and, err, dirt, I think'' he trailed off.

"That's just what'll make you hungry," said Serilda sarcastically.

"Yes, so far we've got rat tails, peanut butter, water, dirt, and grass. Other ingredients for this potion are earthworms and algae," Professor Branxton replied, waving his wand at the chalkboard. "Now, we will begin our brewing."

ooc: Since finals are supposed to start today, I will be counting the brewing of this potion for the final.

Rave lit the fire under her caludron and waited for the water to boil. She then added her algae slowly and started to scoop out a table spoon of peanut butter which she added as soon as she measured it. She stired 20 time clockwise then added the dirt and another scoop of peanut butter and again stirred 20 times clockwise. She sat back and started around the room for ten minutes while her potion boiled. She then added her rat tails and another scoop of peanut butter and stirred 15..16..17...18...19..20... she stopped quickly as she almost started her 21st stir. Breathing in and out once to refocus she added her earthworms and ANOTHER scoop of peanut butter and stirred 20 times clockwise again making sure she was exact. She let it boil for another ten minutes before taking it off the fire and sitting back.

Serilda copied down the instructions and then went to work; she followed the instuctions carefully as she made her potion.

Steph came in to the room quitely so she wouldn't be noticed and sat at the back table. She copyed the notes of the board and began working on the posion.

Sabrina closed her textbook and put it away. She placed her ingredients on the table, carefully measuring each to ensure the proper mixture of the ingredients and the correct composition of the potion. Pouring the water into the cauldron, she lit the cauldron fire and waited for it to boil. She tossed in the algae and then used her ladle to scoop out five tablespoons of peanut butter, dumping it into the cauldron. She then stirred the mixture 20 times clockwise

She carefully swept the 10 g of dirt into the cauldron, making sure that none fell. She just had to make this potion perfect. She added another tablespoon of peanut butter, and once again stirred clockwise 20 times. Adding the blades of grass and peanut butter, she stirred 20 times clockwise. She kept an eye on her watch, waiting ten minutes for the mixture to boil.

While she waited, she sliced the rat tails. Placing them into the mixture, she added another tablespoon of peanut butter and stirred 20 times clockwise. Finally, she added 5 sliced earthworms, one more tablespoon of peanut butter, and stirred it 20 times clockwise. She once again waited 10 minutes for the potion to boil and then extinguished the fire, waiting for the potion to cool.

After Ozzy had taken some notes, he placed his Potions Notebook to the side of his work table near the front of the class and proceeded to ignite the flame beneath his cauldron with his wand. He added the five-hundred milliliters of water and left it to boil, while neatly preparing and arranging the other ingredients. When the water began to boil nicely he added the ten grams of algae and one tablespoon of peanut butter, then stirred the contents of the cauldron twenty times in the specified direction while counting them down mentally before adding the ten grams of dirt and another tablespoon of peanut butter, then stirred the potion twenty times clockwise. He added the twenty, six inch blades of grass and the tablespoon of peanut butter next and repeated the stirring process again then allowed the concoction to boil.


He looked a his snake engraved silver and green pocket watch, as he counted down ten minutes, then he added the five sliced rat tails and the tablespoon of peanut butter the stirred twenty times clockwise again, then added the five sliced earthworms and an additional tablespoon of peanut butter and stirred twenty times again clockwise and allowed the completed potion to boil for ten minutes before extinguishing the flame beneath the cauldron.


He sat back and relaxed while he waited for his Potion to cool, after a while he spotted Rave, the Seeker on the Slytherin Quidditch Team, he smiled and gave her a small wave of his right hand before checking to see if his Potion was cooling, which it was then zoned out for a bit.

Meghan looked up at the directions for the potion. She pulled out her cauldron and filled it with 500 mL of water. She started to heat it and after a few minutes it started to boil.

Meghan read the next step to herself. She put in the 10g of algea. Than 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. She started to stir the potion. one, two, three, four times, after stirring the potion 20 times clockwise so looked at the next step.

Meghan than added the dirt and than another tablespoon of peanut butter. She than started to stir it clockwise again. One, two, three. When she finished the 20 stirs she moved on. Meghan added the grass, and ANOTHER tablespoon of peanut butter. She stirred it 20 more times clockwise and saw that the next step was to let it sit for 10 minutes. So as she let it sit she read the next directions.

Meghan than added the rat tails, another tablespoon of peanut butter, and than stirred it 20 times clockwise again. Than she added the earthworms and the last table spoon of peanut butter and than stirred it clockwise for the last 20 times. She sat back and allowed the potion to boil for another 10 minutes. She put the fire out and waited for the potion to cool, watching the others finish.

Emma took out her cauldron and began to collect the ingrediants.

Kaitlin pulled out her cauldron from underneath her desk and looked at the blackboard for her instructions. She quickly jotted them down on a piece of parchment then got up to get her ingredients.

Julie read the instructions on the board carefully, and moved to collect the items and bring them back to her bench. She stood there staring a few minutes at the board again to make sure she's not missing anything.

Julie poured some water into her cauldron and lit the fire beneath it and waited a few minutes for it to boil. Once the water boiled julie added the algae with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and started stirring clockwise.
On the 20th stirr, she added dirt with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and continued stirring clockwise 20 times. After the 20 stirr she added grass with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and continued to stir 20 times, clockwise. At this point her arms were starting to hurt.
Relived that she has 10 minutes to keep the mixture heating, she started licking peanut butter of the spoon while reading the board for the next step of instructions. When the spoon was clean, she started eating peanut butter using her finger from the supply cup.

After 10 minutes julie stopped eating the peanut butter and added the rat tails with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and started stirring clockwise. After 20 stirrs she added earthworms with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and kept stirring 20 times clockwise.
Julie kept licking the left over peanut butter, while waiting for the last 10 minutes the mixture to boil in.
Once the 10 minutes passed, she removed the fire from underneath the cauldron and let it stew and cool down. Julie kept eyeing the students in the class to see if any of them have used it while continually licking peanut butter of the cup.

Rave blushed and waved back to Ozzy a few desks away and smiled. As she looked around the room,Rave's gaze landed on her cousin Julie. Her eyes widened as she saw Julie eating the peanut butter, as far as Rave was concerned it was never safe to eat a potions ingrediant even if it was only peanut butter. Shaking her head she let her head fall onto her table with a small thud.

Julie heard a small bang she skimmed the class to find the origin of that sound and saw it came from her cousin raven. Julie had no idea what was wrong with her cousin now. She skimmed through the class again and saw the slytherin captain waving at raven in a funny way.
Ohh no!! She's not going out with that guy is she!
Julie twitched at the thought, and moved her attention to sabrina across the room checking what she's doing with her potion.
