Moving images came on the screen, cheering could be heard, and who could see two differently colored teams racing back and forth across the court playing. Occasionally, a few players would aim the ball into a basket.  
(OOC: Please, pretend it's moving and a game is going on... I really don't have the capability to show you an actual clip right now, lol. Be sure to RP your character watching the Video  )

Heshasa layed her head on ehr hand annd stared at the T.V. ready to watch the video. Heshasa prefered cartoons herself but obviously this wasn't somthing they did normally in class and they were lucky to see a movie anyway.

Jara looked at the black box, now filled with moving people. They looked as though they were putting that "Basket-ball" into the hoop! It aguely reminded her of the quaffles in Quidditch.
"What exactly is the point of this game?" she asked curiously.

Alyssa smiled and watched wat was on the tv before taking in everything into deal." i wonder if spongebob is going on" alyssa thought to herself with a smile . and went back to watching the players on the court runing up and down their sneakers making a noise against the floor. Players were shoting baskets and stuff. Alyssa loved watching basketball.

Meghan leaned back in her chair and smiled. She hadn't been to a basketball game in a while. Her aunt and uncle had taken her to one...but they could tell she didn't like it very much...well they never made that mistake again. But she enjoyed seeing something that reminded her of home. And these players were very good.

Olivia had never actually watched basketball before but she had played it.It was really interesting that they were doing sports it was good too.

Nexis put her head in her hands and watched the movie. She shouted and made little dancing movements with her hands every time someone made a shot. Since she wasn't sure who to cheer for, she just cheered for both teams.

Professor Light tried to watch some of the people who had never seen a video before action's. It was always fun to watch people react to Muggle objects. She smiled at the boy who knew exactly what was going on and began cheering. "Alright, enough of that." She flipped off the movie. The screen went to static and then to black. Quote: "What exactly is the point of this game?" she asked curiously. "Good Question... probably the same points that Quidditch has... to have fun, entertain, and win the game." She walked back up to the board and tapped it. All the rules went away, and so did the pictures, but new writing had appeared: Quote: + Popularity

An attempt to score in this way is called a shot. A successful shot is worth two points, or three if it is taken from beyond a certain distance.
There are five players from each team on the court at any time. Teams can have up to seven substitutes. Substitutions are unlimited but can only be done when play is stopped. Just like quidditch, each teamates has a certain duty, ether to play defense or offense, but overall it’s a team sports
Not very brutal, if too much physical contact occurs, a foul resulting in a penalty occurs. Often this is an uninterrupted shot on the hoop, that, if made, is worth 1 point. So the basis of the game is running the ball back and forth up and down the court, trying to shoot and score points. The team with the most points at the end wins. She watched at the faces of the many of the first years grew wide with terror at the amount of info... and many of the other students for that matter. "Don't worry, don't worry. Just read through everything, and I'll explain it all as we go down. This is important to copy down though, for the final..." she put some emphasis on that last word.

Astoria's head snapped back to the Ravenclaw boy cheering at the game. She shook her head and giggled while watching the Muggle game called basketball. She had seen the muggle children play it while she stood on the balcony at her home. Unfortunately, she didn't know much about the game itself because there was a giant wall built between the wizard and muggle neighborhood.
