Professor T'Poutine finished collecting the gold rings from the bottom of the fish tank. He placed them into a box and pocketed them.

He then sat behind his desk and placed a little blue/gray kitten on his desk. It purred and nuzzled his hand.

"You'll be just fine Rocky Stuffins." He muttered to it, waiting for students to arrive.

In the corner was a large cage with kittens inside, mewing and playing.

Alanna took her gray kitten. She wasn't very keen on transfiguring animals, even though she knew it didn't hurt them or anything. "Sorry," she muttered to the animal before saying, "Felenatari!" The cat turned into a gray furry baseball cap with a tail. Alanna giggled, then turned the hat back into a cat.

After several tries, only the gray fur was left on the baseball cap. Once more, She thought. "Felenatari!" This time, the kitten turned into a blue baseball cap. No fur, no tail. Alanna sighed in relief, then went back to practicing.

Jo stepped up to the front and selected a grey and black tiger cat with a tufty tail, she felt fairly confident, her notes were detailed and transfiguration was possibly her best subject, she carefully placed the kitten on her desk and jabbed her wand at it, "Felenatari" she said clearly. The kitten transformed slowly into a grey and black striped toque with a large pompom, satisfied with herself, she tranformed it back with relative ease.

Davina did the jabbing motion and recited the incantation.Her cat changed into a pretty cool furry hat.

Selecting a furry, ginger-coloured cat, Eunice brought it to her table and took out her wand. The kitten yawned and just sat there, much to her relief. Eunice didn't really like the idea of turning a cute little kitten into a hat, but said, "Felen...felena...what was it again?" She looked back at her notes. "Oh, right," she muttered, and tried again. "Felenatari!" Her ginger kitten turned into a glossy, black top hat. Delighted, she picked it up and studied it, just to make sure it was hollow inside and everything.

Professor T'Poutine strutted proudly back to his desk and sat down. "My goodness, Kiddos!" He gleefully shouted. "Now.. since most of you are doing so well. I've decided to reward you all."

"You can all keep practicing with your kittens. Remember to use the reversal spell." He told them as he fiddled with a wooden box. It had a lock on it.

"Keep comcentrating, golly, give it all your heart!" He said lastly.

He then began concentrating on the wooden box.

"Felenatari," said Rose as she made her wand make a stabbing motion. The kitten turned into a hat! She just couldn't remember how to change it back.

Julia glances around at the other students' progress. They seemed to be doing farely well. She listens to T'Poutine speak and just blinks. She watches him fiddle with an old wooden box. Julia watches him, and pretends like she's working on her kitten. After taking a few minutes to change her kitten to hat form then back, she raises her hand and asks, "Professor T'Poutine, what are you doing, if I may ask?" She sits there with a blank expression on her face and just watches the professor.

Eunice wondered what was in the wooden box, but then remembered that she was supposed to be transforming her top hat back into a kitten. Talking a deep breath, she commanded, "Befelenatari!" Instantly, the top hat turned back into a mass of orange fur, which was her cuddly kitten.

Alanna paused a minute to guess what was in the wooden box. A book? Unlikely. A challenge? She hoped so.

Alanna transformed her kitten into a top hat before it could jump off her desk.

Serilda tranfigured it three more times successfully before putting her wand away and then went on to pet her kitten. She felt bad for the cat and decided to hold off on transfiguring it till Professor T'Poutine gave them other instructions.

He took out his wand and muttered a few words at the lock. It gave a small click and opened. He slid the lock off, but didn't open up the box.

"I have your assignment." He announced. He tapped the box. The lid flew open and small green snakes slithered out.

"Everyone grab a snake. They are perfectly harmless. I hope everyone likes them. I was personally a Slytherin when I was at this swell school all those years ago." He chuckled as he held a snake. It was very calm and slithered about his fingers.

"Well. Go on, grab a snake." He asked again, chuckling once more like a donkey.

Rose shrieked when she saw the snakes. "Do you we have to use them," Rose asked shakily as she grabbed one and set it on her desk. She watched the snake intently and backed away from her desk a bit.

Julia stares at the snakes for a long time. "Um, I'm not touching any snake with my bare hands, if that's what you're implying," she says, protesting slightly. She picks up her bag and searches through it. "Ah, there we go," Julia says to herself, pulling out some gloves.

She slips them on over her hands then she approaches them, slightly wincing. She carefully grabs at a snake and holds it in her hands. She lets out another wince then drops it on the floor. Letting out a small shriek, she crawls after it as the snake slythers around the room.

Serilda went over to the box and selected a snake; she wasn't afraid of them because she had one herself. Stroking it, she put it down on the table and set herself up for performing the incantation on the snake.

Alanna grabbed a snake, which she didn't mind since they were small. Big snakes freaked her out. Besides, she was a Slytherin, wasn't she? She should like snakes. The skinny green snake wrapped around her arm. If the snake had been solid and silver, it would have made a cool bracelet.

Sabrina walked up to the desk and slowly reached out for a snake. She absolutely hated snakes, but she supposed that these weren't so bad. They were kind of cute really. She carried it back to her desk, allowing it to curl around her arm.

Julia pounces at the snake and grasps it between her two gloves. She makes her way back to her seat and sits down. She continues to wince slightly as it slythers around in her hands. Julia eyes Professor T'Poutine. He knows I hate snakes. He must know. He's out to get me, I just know it! she thinks to herself, continuing to eye the professor. She stares blankly at him, sort of wishing she hadn't sat up in the front.

Christy stared curiosily at the snakes and grabbed one. She really hated snakes, but if this ones were harmless she would take one. She shivered as the snake curled around her arm. She went to her desk and sat sat down carefully trying not to upset the snake.

Emma stepped to the front of the classroom and grabbed a thin and (not surprisingly) long snake. "Eew, eew, eew..." She whispered, she had nothing aginst Slyherin's but snakes... She wasn't grossed out by them, just plain scarred. She sat back down and dropped the snake on her desk.

Professor T'Poutine then took his own snake, did the jabbing motion with his wand and said, "Felenartari!" His snake turned into a sparkly green silk scarf.

"I need you Kiddo's to come to next class with a nice scarf about your necks. Use these snakes. During next class we will do the reversal spell. I hope to see some swell scarves!" He wrapped the scarf about his own neck, now double scarved.

With that said he accio'd the kittens, then quickly levitated them into the cage.

"Good job everyone. Take care of those snakes. They eat only the crust from the toast." He told them just incase it took them time to decide on what scarf they would make.

"Class dismissed! Have a super swell day kiddo's!" He opened the class door to let them out.

He walked over to one sleeping student. "Young Hufflepuff, please don't sleep during my class! 1 point from Hufflepuff!" He stated as he stood next to her. He flourished his wand and sent water squirting onto the girls head. "I won't say it again!"

Christy smiled at Professor's T'Poutine assignment. From her point of view it seemed pretty simple, but first she needed to get used to the snake. She packed her things and placed the snake around her arm. She nodded to the Professor and made her way of of the classroom.

"I wasn't sleeping, sir," Rose says trying to defend herself. "I fainted." The snake is still on her hand and she flicks it off. After putting the snake back, she left. I think'll I'll skip out on this one.

Although Emma did not like snakes, she still thought this cruel. Maybe I should start some club with the object of saving animals from turning into various clothing. Still, she picked up the snake and casted a spell to make it fly in front of her so that she wouldn't have to hold it and she left the room.

Professor T'Poutine chuckled once more, but it sounded evil. "Everyone get out. I have things to do." He stated sternly glaring at the students. He then made his way across the classroom.

"I hope to see you all soon! Golly, it's so nice out. I may have a picnic." He smiled and looked out the window of his classroom. "Maybe some tea and cookies." He mumbled as the students left.
