Professor T'Poutine finished collecting the gold rings from the bottom of the fish tank. He placed them into a box and pocketed them. He then sat behind his desk and placed a little blue/gray kitten on his desk. It purred and nuzzled his hand. "You'll be just fine Rocky Stuffins." He muttered to it, waiting for students to arrive. In the corner was a large cage with kittens inside, mewing and playing. | |

Julia wanders into the Transfiguration classroom. She looks at the professor as she enters and salutes him. "Good day, professor," she says clearly, beaming at him. "How are you this fine day, sir?" she asks, taking a seat in the front.
As she waits for his reply, she glances around the classroom. She blinks at the sounds of kittens. "MEOW!" she calls out to them, then giggling slightly and eyeing Professor T'Poutine. With a slight shrug, she takes out her materials for class.

"I'm doing swell today, as long as no one breaks any more rules." He stared at the young Ravenclaw as a warning before smiling and looking toward the others in the class.
"Howdy Kiddo's. Yes today we will be working wil Kitty's" He told the early arrivals. "They've been given a calming potion so they aren't as crazy as usual." He pointed to a few of the kittens in the cage who were sleeping and purring.
"Just a few more students and we will start!" He smiled and scratched Rocky Stuffins behind her ears.

Sabrina walked into the classroom and took a seat next to Meghan. Glancing up, she spotted the kittens. All of her stress from that day seemed to melt away at the sight. "Aw" she murmured, as her mind cast back to her own kitten, Gracie. She smiled and quietly waited for the class to begin.

Julia stares back at Professor T'Poutine as a warning to him. Pfft, he doesn't scare me, she thinks, folding her arms. Staring down at the materials on her desk, she feels her pocket. Yes.. there it is, she thinks, grinning. No need to plot today. Everything's all worked out.
Smoothening her Bugs Bunny Cape out, she glances around the room at the other students. "I'm glad you're swell," Julia says to T'Poutine after a long time without saying anything. Scooting low into her chair, she stares at the professor blankly, waiting for class to begin.

The kitten, Rocky Stuffins, sluggishly tired to play. The calming potion would not let him be too active.  Professor T'Poutine wiggled his fingers at the kitten, "Your a good little kitty, aren't you Rockey? Mr. Stuffins is a good kitty!" He coo'ed at it. He looked and saw not all the students arrived yet. He went back to petting the little gray kitten. The kitten gave a slow swipe to his scarf. It started to fall asleep, as were the kittens in the cage. Perfect for class.

Julia watches T'Poutine and the kitten. She hates kittens. Well, not exactly hates them... but likes puppies alot more. Some would even say she acts like a puppy. Shrugging to herself, Julia rubs her eye and looks around at the rest of the class. Not many people have showed up. Turning her attention back to the professor, she resumes just staring blankly at him.

Professor T'Poutine took his wand out and tapped it a few times on his desk.
"Howdy Kiddo's" He said with a big smile before announcing, "We shall begin today's swell lesson. It's a bit more advanced, but I bet most will catch on to it."
He gave the kitten a quick smooch on its head before standing up and walking over to the cage in the corner. His kitten was asleep on his desk.
The other kttens were sleeping by now also, due to the calming potion he gave them earlier.

Professor T'Poutine used his wand to levitate several sleepy kittens out of the cage, they landed softly in front of each student.
They slept soundly, mostly purring, on the desks.
"Now, they are sleepy kittens so today they won't put up any fuss while we learn this spell."
He walked over to his own gray kitten and said, "Felenatari!" The cat popped and turned into a nice gray beret hat.
He picked up the hat and placed it upon his blonde head.
"Cats to Hats today kiddo's. The spell is Felenatari." He gave a pat to his beret hat.

Julia watches the professor levitate a sleepy kitten onto her desk. Her eyes widen as she watches Professor T'Poutine transform a cat into a hat. This was nuts! The poor kitties... even though she doesn't like cats, she did feel sorry for them a bit. Well, they must make a warm hat... she thinks with a giggle. "Felenatari," she says to herself over and over again in her mind, trying to get it to stick. She copies down the spell and watches T'Poutine.

He wasn't sure if the students saw the wand motion he used, "Transfiguration needs a stabbing wand motion, and say the spell like you mean it. You don't need a hat with kitty ears." He chuckled and made the jabbing wand motion a few times.
He them removed the hat and placed it on the desk, "Befelenatari". He made the jabbing wand motion, said the reversal spell nice and clear and his gray kitten was back. It was sound asleep and purring like before. Rocky Stuffins gave a small yawn before curling his tail to his nose.
"Now, You all try." He then remembered and said, "The reversal spell is Befelenatari."

"Befelenatari... Okay.. Got it!" Julia says, very unsure of herself. She stretches for a moment as if she was warming up for the Olympics or something. Nodding to herself, she looks at her kitten. "I hope you enjoy becoming a hat," she says quietly to it, smirking. Julia picks up her wand and does the stabbing wand motion Professor T'Poutine did as she points her wand at the sleeping kitten.
"Felenatari!" she says clearly but sort of pausing while making an attempt to pronounce it correctly, then watching her kitten turn into a hat with a tail. She sort of just blinks. Coughing, she does the stabbing motion again and says, "Befelenatari!" clearly, not stopping in between this time. She watches as her kitten returns to normal. "Oi vei, I think I really need to practice this," she mumbles to herself, eyeing Professor T'Poutine.

Serilda selected a small black kitten; she put it gently on the table in front of her. Nervously, she drew her wand and took a deep breath. She pointed her wnad at the kitten and said in a loud clear voice as she jabbed the wand forward, "Felenatari!" The cat, with a small poof, turned into a hat. "YAY! Refelenatari!" The cat returned. "YES! Professor, I did it!" She jumped up and down excitedly.

"Golly! That was wonderful!" His own kitten still asleep. He walked about the room inspecting the hats.
"Keep it up, try different hats, the hats can change but the cat won't." He explained with a flip of his right hand.

"But that's cruel!" Shrieked out Emma, how could anyone be so... ruthless? Nenetheless, she took out her wand and sighed as she took one of the kittens, she petted it before gathering her guts to turn it into a hat.
"Felenatari" She said her voice slightly shaky. That must be why the former cat was now a hat with a long tail...
"Befelenatari! Befelenatari!" Was Emma's first reaction, she was relieved to find an unhandicaped cat purring on her desk. She sighed and copied the spell into her notebook.

Julia glances up at Professor T'Poutine. She coughs again as she tries not to giggle at her mistake, and decides to make another attempt. She does the jabbing motion with her wand. "Felenatari!" she says clearly, without stopping this time, then grinning as her kitten makes a POP! and transforms into a hat.
"Yayness!" Julia exclaims, putting on her awesome hat. She stands up and struts around her desk, then tripping over her feet. She coughs and slips into her seat quickly, then removes her hat. She sets it on her desk and points her wand at it. Making the stabbing wand motion, she says, "Befelenatari!" Letting out a relieved breath, she smiles. "Well, at least it had no tail this time," she says aloud, then continues practicing the right way to do it.
