Julie heard the professor ask a question she put her book down then raised her hand and said "normally tea leaves are hand plucked, Pluckers take only the bud and two leaves. Tea leaves are laid out and allowed to wilt for several hours the rolling process is critical because it prepares the leaves for oxidation by rupturing the leaves and exposing enzymes to oxygen. They are then tightly rolled and are fired in oven to dry the leaves. The are the indications of good quality tea leaves "
Looking around if more students are answering.

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Yes, you are both right. 3 pts for each of you", she answered. "So, I want you all to focus on the shape, color, and size of these leaves when you are plucking them! After all, all of these will be used at your final at the end of the semester", she added.

"Let's talk about the plant that we have for today", she said loudly as she waved her wand and the blackboards now had the picture of the plant. One of the pictures clearly came from your textbook while the other one was a zoom of the plants on the table. "Who can tell m me the name of this plant?"

Maureen thought to herself and raised her hand. "Is it the tea plant? Camellia sinensis?"

Stacey raised her hand. She had her book opened to the section they were talking about, everything was right in front of her. "It is called the camellia sinensis, the plant species whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea." She said as she had read her chapter last night while waiting pactiently to fall asleep. She also added, "White tea, Green, oolong and black tea are all harvested from this species, but are processed to attain different levels of oxidation. The name sinensis means Chinese in Latin. Older names for the tea plant include Thea bohea, Thea sinensis and Thea viridis." She sighed as she almost ran out of breath.

Professor Virohsa frowned. "Thank you for that incorrect assessment", she replied to both students. "It is not, in fact, the Camellia Sinensis", she explained. She waited for other students to volunteer the correct answer.

Meghan nervously raised her hand. She didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of the whole class. "Is it just the tea plant, professor?" She winced wondering what the professor was going to say.

Julie rummaged through her book and found the plant, she raised her hand said "Its a White Sage tea plant".

Professor Virohsa shook her head. "No, it is not a tea plant... or a White Sage tea plant.. Any other ideas?", she said as she looked towards the blackboard's pictures.

Meghan tried again, "Is it just a regular Camellia?" She looked through her book but she couldn't seem to find the answer.

Laurasia raised her hand. "Is it a type of lily ma'am?"

Professor Virohsa started to tap her fingers on the desk, which was usually a sign that she was starting to get impatient. "No, it is not Camellia or a lily..", she said softly. She looked around at the students who wre flipping the pages of the book.. Apparently, they had all skipped that section.. "Fine.. I will give you a hint.. It is considered poisenous", she said coldly.

Rose flipped through her book vigorously.

Before she had made a comment, she was rudely interrupted by a Hufflepuff girl. Looking back at Meghan, she stated, "5 pts will be deducted from your house for not raising your hand". Looking at Rose, she stated, "5 pts will be deducted from Hufflepuff as well.. and no, that is not it".

OOC- Rose, I know you edited your post. I'm not changing the deduction of points because class rules prohibit editing your posts. So please refrain from doing so. So, I shall pretend that Rose actually gave the answer that she did (even if your post right now says otherwise).

Meghan opened her mouth in horror she had never lost a point for Gryffindor. She shut it quickly and started flipping through her book hoping to find the answer.

Romy raised her hand and said: "It is maybe Digitalis grandiflora?"

Laurasia kept looking through her book with a creased forehead. Thinking she may have finally found what she was looking for she raised her hand once more. "Is it an Oleander, Professor Virohsa?"

Emma glanced at the pictures on the board and shuffled the pages of her book.

Julie shuffeled through the book again through th poisonous plant sections and found it. She raised her hand then said "Professor is it gelsemium plant?"

Professor Virohsa nodded. "Very good, Julia! It is the Gelsemium plant", she explained. "4 pts for Gryffindor". "So let's begin with some routine questions. What was its original name?"

Rose flipped through her book hoping to make up for the points she had lost.

Meghan thought she saw the answer in her book. She made sure to raise her hand ,"Is it wild woodbine professor?" she said.

Christy raised her hand and answered "Its original name is Gelsemium Sempervirens"

Rose raised her hand in the air,"Gelsemium sempervirens. It's commonly known as Yellow jessamine and Carolina jessamine."

"It has several other names." Emma said with her hand in the air. "Yellow Jasmine, False Jasmine, Wild Woodbine, Gelsemium sempervirens and Carolina Jasmine."
