Serilda raised her hand and said, "I heard it can grow up to 15 feet."

Jamie raised her hand and said, "Yeti's are to grow up to 15 feet tall."

That's right! Does anyone have any interesting or funny stories about Yeti's or Yeti sightings?

Zelot Raised her hand "the myths the muggle girls from my camping experience in america would come up with Bigfoot being approximatly anywhere from 15 to 20 ft tall. They said some tales where a guy had been in the woods and had been walking around when he saw a huge footprint in the mud and thought that it was a really weird print and as he kept walking there was bigfoot standing behind a tree reading the daily news paper! The girls also said that he had been wearing a really hidious hat!"

Mithos raised his hand "For hundreds of years, natives in the Himalays have been telling stories about a humanoid monster that wanders around the mountain range. However, occasional reports of an ape-like creature in the Himalayas only began filtering to the west in the 1800s, mainly by British explorers." He paused for a while "Perhaps the first formal record of reported yeti footprints was in 1889's Among the Himalayas. Native guides described the large apelike creature that left the prints, he concluded the prints were a bear's. They thought it was a bipedal, apelike creature for a long time." He finished.

i heard in China they saw one in the Shoping district!Buying a T-shirt!!

yea,, i heard a story in the himalaya's .. when a group of witches and wizards went on hicking trip, that they where attacked by 3 Yeti's ( a mother and her two sons).. the wizards got injured but they were able to overcome the yeti's when the preformed the freezing charm on them, but the two muggles with them were deeply injured they took them to the magical hospital in the himalaya but then they had to modify their memory.

Angel raised her hand she had been thinking about this story through the whole lesson, instead of answering questions. "My father once told me that my great-grandfather almost caught a Yeti. He had been on assignment for the ministery. This Yeti had been spotted near muggle villiages and it needed to be take care of. Sadly he didn't find the Yeti, but he did frost bit his toes trying to."

"When my daddy was little he saw one near his house. My daddy grew up on a little farm. But he said the yeti was trying on one of his grandma's dresses. His daddy came out and thought it was my grandma's mom." Bella answered with a giggle.

Serilda waved her hand around excitedly. "I heard this story about this Muggle Italian couple who went backpacking in the mountains in Tibet. They were asleep when a sherpa saw the Yeti heading towards the camp of the Italian couple. He was screaming, "YETIIIIII! YETIIIIIIIIIIII!" But the Italian couple, who woke up with his screams, though he was yelling, "SPAGHETTI! SPAGEHTTI!" and they woke with a start; they were starving for some homeland cooking considering they had been out in the wilderness for soo long. So then, the couple goes out to see where the food is, and they see this Abomidable snowman munching on the sherpa's tent! Screaming, the couple ran down the mountain and met up with some wizards, who erased their memory and saved the sherpa; the Yeti escaped."

Eunice spoke up. "My mom told me that one time she was visiting an ice statue festival in some Muggle city when she saw a huge sculpture of a Yeti. She went to take a picture with it, but as my dad snapped the picture, it turns out that the Yeti was real and mauled my mom over! Fortunately, at Mungo's, she was quickly healed. I heard later in the Daily Prophet that this particular Yeti was getting used to civilization and had to be rounded up because muggles were seeing it."

I heard that sometimes they collect candy from Muggles on halloween, because no one will believe they are real.

Julia raises her hand, shaking slightly. "Well... I've seen a Yeti before. I was on a trip in Tibet with my grandparents during the winter before my 8th birthday. We were staying up in a cabin in the mountains. It was late at night and I had just fallen asleep. I woke up as I heard our cabin door shut. When I ran over to the window to see what it was, I saw a white figure going away in the distance. I know for one thing, I couldn't sleep that night... mainly because... my dog was gone," she finishes, shivering slightly.

"Aw, I'm sorry," said Serilda to Julia. "I lost my first pet, a rabbit, to a wolf; I know how you feel."

My Grate grandpa was in the back yard on his farm and my grate grandma was in the house,when my grandpa went in a yeti was playing dolls with my grandma!

"I heard that a lot of the muggles trying to climb Mount Everest got killed by Yetis. The muggles just thought they died because it was so cold, but the Yetis got them. My mum said that she saw a whole colony Yetis once, and a lot of muggles were around. She tried to get them to go back down the mountain they were on, but they didn't believe her at first. She was a guide of a tourist group, so she just said that there was a blizzard coming, and so they went down. Later on, 5 muggles died from the same colony of Yetis." Christian said. Whew! That was a lot of information.
