Meghan practiced the spell a few more times to get them right. She glanced around to see how the others were doing and was glad to see she wasn't the only one who had trouble.

ERin kept searching around her desk for her shrunken book, but she couldn't find it anywhere.

Eunice slid her parchment towards her and drew the effects of the two spells she'd just learned. Then she went back to practicing them.

Meghan noticed a girl next to her named Erin looking for something. "Um, do you need some help?" She asked.

Sebastian looked down at the rubber chicken on his desk. He had wondered why it was there, but had learned by this point there was always a reason.

He pointed his wand at the chicken and muttered, 'Reducio.' Nothing happened. This was nothing new though. It usually took a little while to catch onto a charm.

"Oh, okay," Talons said nodding her head, "Thanks." She turned back to her bar of soap. "Reducio," she said quietly, pointing her wand at it. The soap returned to its normal size.

satisfied, or perhaps fed up with her Charms, Jo stepped over to the two Gryffindor girls, Erin and Meghan, she was pretty sure they were.
"Hi, did you loose something?" Jo asked them.

Meghan looked at Jo. "Um Erin did, I think. I'm not sure what we are looking for...but I know we are looking for something. I think it might be a book." She grinned sheepishly.

"Did you overshrink it?" Jo asked. "I did a couple times, I shrunk my desk once too. Charms isn't my best subject. I'm okay, but i can get into arguments with the stuff i'm trying to charm." Jo got down on her hands and knees and started to look for anything that might have gotten miniaturized.

Meghan looked for a anything on the desk. "Hmmm if only I could transfigure my quill into a magnifying glass." She mumbled. She looked all over the desk. Trying not to touch anything in case she pushed it off the desk. If thats where it was at least. "Any luck Jo?" she asked.

"Nothing." Jo answered standing up and dusting herself off, "Usually my eyesight is exceptionally good, but I don't even know if I'm looking in the right place."

Meghan nodded, "Wow so these spells could seriously be a problem. Someone could shrink your wand in a dual and you would never be able to find it again." Meghan shook her head slowly. "Oh I found it!" She shrieked. "Erin right there. Right by your right hand. It that thing that looks almost like an ant but its not moving." She grinned at her success.

"Good going!" said Jo, patting Meghan's shoulder. Being tall, it's always easy to do, it's become a reflex action. "We could even be shrunk down, you know, and stepped on, just like an ant." Jo shuddered at the thought.

Meghan shuddered. "That would be disturbing, no one would ever find your body..." She walked back towards her desk. "Ok, now duckie your going to do as I say. Engorgio!" Again nothing happened. She shook her head and turned toward Jo. "I love being a witch...I mean the spells I can cast make life so much easier! Oh, wait I can't cast any spells...nevermind." She grinned.

"The only things I seem to be good at don't have much use anyway," Jo shrugged. "I mean, if I need to use DADA, I've got bigger problems than my Charms mark. It would be nice to get a decent one though."

Jo pointed at her teacup again, "Engorgio!"

Christy looked down to her tea cup and sighed. 'Engorgio and Reducio uh? I think I'll try Engorgio first' she told to herself. She grabbed her wand and practised the wand movement first. When she finally felt concentrated enough, she pointed her wand at her tea cup and said "Engorgio!" the cup shivered and after a while it grew to twice its original size. She smiled at her accomplishment and tried again.

Emma was delighted to see a roll of candy standing on her desk. "I can't wait to enlarge this!" She exclaimed. She took out her wand and started by reducing the candy. "Reducio" She said concentrating hard but making sure not to yell it to loudly so to never find it again when reduced. To her relief, the candy shrunk to the size of her toes. "And now for my favorite part..." She whispered. "ENGORGIO!" To her amazement the candy rose to almost 4 feet tall. She was more delighted then ever. She looked at the candy with such wonder. Emma rose her hand "Professor, can I eat this?" She asked. "In the company of my fellow students of course." She added in a jolly voice, there was enoug for anyone.

Christy looked at the Ravenclaw girl next to her and to her 4 feet tall candy rose. "Amazing candy!" She greeted with a smile. Then she drove her attention back to her tea cup. She waved her wand and the cup came back to its original size. 'Now Reducio' she said to herself. Christy study the wand movement again and pointed to the tea cup "Reductio!" for a moment, nothing happened, the tea cup was the same, until it started shivering and seconds later it broke into pieces. "Oh no...I must have spelled the spell wrong, maybe I mixed it with Reducto..." She Accio'd a new tea cup and tried again "Reducio!" the cup shivered and seconds later it shrieked. A smiled crossed Christy's face and she returned the object to its original size.

Heshasa looked down at the book sitting on her desk. Sighing she pointed her wand at it and said ,"ENGORGIO!" the book enlarged to nearly half the hiehgt of Heshasa herself. Smiling she opened it to look at the jumbo text giggling she pointed her wand at the the book and said,"REDUCTIO!" she imeditaly gasped and covered her mouth realizing what she had just said. The book blew apart and the jumbo pages scattered everywhere covering the whole classroom. Heshasa squeeled,"Oh my gosh I'm sorry!" She quickly waved her wand and muttered, "Reparo" the book flew back together and the room was once again free of the jumbo pages of her book. Blushing and slightly flustered Heshasa muttered,"Reducio." The book shurnk down and down until it was small enough for an ant to hold. Squinting to see it she pointed her wand at it and muttered,"Engorgio." The book became its normal size once more.

"Thanks." Whispered Emma. "Hey you can have some if you want... Well that is if Professor Kate let's us... I have a feeling that this spell will make my life much better." She smiled at the thought at the endless candy. "You know... all the poor muggles could really benifit from this." She sighed at the thought of those who didn't have enough to eat. And I'm here... enjoying endless candy.

Julia writes down a few notes on her parchment and looks around her desk. Her eyes fall on her item: a carrot. Her left eyebrow raises, and she looks around at the rest of the class. Meh, everyone else has regular items. Why did I get stuck with a carr- she thinks, but then stops and realizes it must a present from Bugs Bunny, since she believes he is her guardian angel. Julia gives a very sly smirk. She raises her hand wand points it at the carrot. "Engorgio!!" she says, very dramatically. She watches in awe as her carrot grows to be the length of her arm. "Ah, wouldn't Bugs Bunny be proud!" Julia exclaims happily, then looking down at her Bugs Bunny cape.

Her mind races as she begins to plot, knowing if she wanted to cause trouble she should involve a very large carrot. So that things didn't get too suspicious, Julia points her wand at the carrot again and clearly says, "Reducio!" She watches as it only shrinks back to normal size. Resting her head on her hand, she ponders.

Kate smiled at the antics of her class. "Yes, you may eat it, just don't spoil your dinner." Kate continued to walk around the room, observing the students' progress. She saw that several were doing fine, but that a few were struggling. "Please remember that it is Reducio, not Reducto. Pronounciation is very important in charms work."

Lala is a bit having a hard time pronouncing the correct way 'reducio'. NOt having any problem with the engorgio charm, it frustrates her that she somehow cant cast the reverse spell just because of the pronunciation... she sighed then whispering the spell rapidly, she's about to try it again, waving her wand...

Sebastian nodded, writing down that pronunciation was key. He was sure to remember it.

Christy nodded to the Ravenclaw girl "Yeah your right....by the way, I'm Christy a second year and you?" She asked nicely while she opened her book and restarted her work. With a wand movement she brought the tea cup back to its original size and pointed her wand to the cup "Engorgio!" the tea cup shivered a little and seconds later it grew twice its original size. She smiled at her accomplishment and tried again "Engorgio!" the tea cup grew even more.
