Yes! 2 points.

What else can someone tell me about them?

Hermione1234 09-25-2005 08:12 AM

"The Egyptian Sphinx has a human head on a lion's body. For over 1000 years it has been used by witches and wizards to guard valuables and secret hideaways. Highly intelegent, the Sphinx delights in puzzles and riddles. The 4x rating means its dangorous/requires specialist knoledge/skilled wizard may handle. Sorry I'm late. I couldent find the classroom" Hermione says as she sit down at a desk at the front.

Great, 5 points! The comment at the end was very good.

Well I think I'll wrap it up now. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. Or if you'd like to make a suggestion for class, or ask about adopting animals, or talk to me about one of your pets or anything at all, you are most welcome to.

Homework will be up shortly.

Homework Lesson 2

You have 3 days to hand it in, and it is worth a maximum of 20 points.

1. What were the two most common ways for a Muggle to accidentally learn about a ‘mythical’ creature that actually does exist in the magical world? (4)
2. Name 2 parts of a dragon that has highly magical properties. (2)
3. True or false: Male dragons are typically bigger than females. (1)
4. How many pure species of dragons are there? (1)
5. Name 3. (3)
6. What is the composition of a Manticore? (3)
7. What affect does climate have on merpeople’s appearance? (3)
8. Why do the centaurs have an XXXX rating? (3)

OOC: PM me your answers, along with your name, house and member number. All you need to do to get maximum points is read through the lesson thread, so there is no reason that you can't earn your house 20 points!
