Jaren scribbled down the homework, all the time his eyes were on the cat. Alucard, sensing danger, had scooted up his sleeve, welcoming the darkness she percieved as safety. Once done his homework he got up and, motioning to Edgar, the two left before chaos could ensue. |
Anelreas quirked a brow as she picked up her owl's cage when she heard Zekke actually speaking with Tobias. It wasn't even the simple talk you would speak to a cat, but it was as if he actually expected an answer. Tobias' ears shot up at the sound of the Prefect's voice. He turned his head with a soft "meow" so he could see the young man. He glanced back at the bird and let out a low and long meow. To hunt or not to hunt? He would be able to hunt the bird at a later time. Besides, it was leaving with its owner and it would be tiring to chase after a human. He padded the arms that encircled him and reached his front paws out to the Prefect. |
Amaris handed Tobias over to Zekke, rather unwillingly. It was ridiculous that she was feeling slightly jealous that the peculiar creature preferred the Slytherin prefect over her. Amaris touched her tighs and arms and winced. This is what she got for loving a silly animal. She bent over her desk and quickled jotted down the homework. Ama stuffed everything in her school bag rather unceremoniously and swung the bag over her shoulder. She found it odd that Zekke was speaking to Tobias. "It's nice to know I'm not the only who talks to him," she muttered not sure if anyone would hear her or not. |
Zekke carefully collected the cat into his arms, all the while murmuring soothingly to Virgil, who seemed to be fairly patient with all the going ons. "So, now, Tobias..." He murmured, "you wanted to speak with me in the Common Room, but my attention was compromised, so I apologize. What was it you wished to say to me?" Aside from the fact that a certain someone was just bloody rude... "Have you noticed anything in particular that you'd like to share?" Tobias being a cat, maybe he'd know things and see things humans normally wouldn't. In fact, Zekke was almost positive that was the case... Except... well... he didn't really speak 'cat' but he seemed to be able to at least sense the cat's feelings, which was a start he supposed. He realized that it must be really odd, to be speaking with the cat or any other animal like this, but hey, just because an animal didn't speak human languages didn't mean they didn't understand, right? |
Anelreas chuckled and placed a hand on Amaris' shoulder. "You'd be surprised with some of the things my brother has told him." She told her in a low voice. Tobias was always with her brother during the breaks. Whenever she would pass by his room, she would swear there was someone else in the room, but it was only him and Tobias, which was rightfully his pet. She turned to Zekke, a purring Tobias in his arms. Tobias would be in heaven for the time spent with Zekke, so with a coo at her owl, she grabbed Amaris' hand and skipped out of the classroom. Tobias mewed at the bird (or would it be birds?) on Zekke's shoulder and placed his paw near it, wanting to touch it. He padded his paws against the boy's chest, mewing what could be words. He tilted his head to the side and let out a lone meow. Just as random, he then hissed. His manner stayed the same. He pressed down with one paw. A cat's language was so peculiar. |
Please either put that cat in a cage, or remove it from the classroom. I won't allow any animal to be attcked. |
"Indeed, professor. I'm working on it." Zekke nodded and continued to murmur to Tobias. "So Tobias, I know you probably don't like being in a cage - I'm sure I wouldn't either - but for the sake of the class, would you mind sitting in this cage here? It's bigger than most cages and you can sit up without hitting your head you know. And when we're out of class, you needn't be caged. Can we compromise on that?" As he said this, he opened the cage and allowed Tobias to sniff at it and get a feel for the cage. Since class was ending anyway, it wouldn't matter too much if he had to leave the classroom, but it might be helpful to Ama and Reas in the future if they wanted to bring Tobias to class again. |
Christy finished her homework note and trew her parchment, quill and books to her bag. She got up and she said "Thanks Professor, the class was wonderful!"as she pass by Professor's Daisie desk. She called Mia and the cat came after as she left the classroom. |
Tobias growled at the cage and glanced up at Zekke. His expression clearly read, "You have got to be kidding me." He hated cages. The last time he had been in one, it bounced around in the luggage department and he thought he was going to die. That was the main reason he disliked his actual owner. Perhaps the same mistake never happened twice. The girl was already gone, as was the majority of the class, so a short cage ride couldn't hurt. He hoped. With a flick of his tail and low meow, he went inside the cage. He circled around twice, sniffing the inside before finally sitting in the middle. |
Nadia sighed and gathered her things. It actually made her chuckle that Alucard was introduced as a pet and that Zekke had been trying to stablish a conversation with a cat. She looked at Sparky and while Zekke was busy, approached to pet her. Maybe she had actually missed her, huh? After writing down the homework, Nadia's eyes fell on the creature, the PigmyPuff still on her desk. The corners of her mouth lifted upwards and he chuckled, 'why not?'. She took the little creature with one hand, approached the desk and payed the money it corresponded. "I think I will call it Puffles." |
Zekke packed his things quickly and shouldered his satchel. He carefully picked up the cage with Tobias in it, still murmuring soothingly as he did so, and picked up the cage with Virgil in it. "I think she might like visiting with you for a while, Nadia." Zekke murmured with a warm smile. The still-closeness of the bond between the bird and the previous owner was more than apparent to him and he didn't mind. Sparky trilled a little, as if in agreement. "Would you mind looking after her until we get out of class and back to the Common Room? I currently have my hands full." He nodded at Tobias and Virgil. ooc: Hey guys, I need to jet for a while and take care of errands, but feel free to move Zekke out of here and into the SCR. Make sure he's careful with the cages because he would be. ;) Just have him keep talking to the animals as he's leaving and until he lets Tobias out of the cage. |
When the Professor signaled class was over Jen placed her notes and quill back in her bag. She was almost ready to leave when she glanced back down at her desk. She smiled slightly as she remembered the Pygmy Puff. Scooping it up, she brought it up to Professor Dainsie's desk and set it down gently. "As much as I'd love to keep you, I have horrible luck with animals," she told the little creature. She petted it one last time and turned to exit the classroom. |
Iphigeneia returned to the classroom with a large cage levitating ahead of her. Inside was a monkey-like creature with smooth silvery-green skin and large pouf of thick black hair on top of its head. There was a conspicuous dark red button on its forehead that seemed to be blinking sleepily. Iphigeneia kept an eye on it - it flashed whenever danger (or Muggles) was present - and was relieve to see that it remained fairly quiet. She wondered idly what was making it blink like that but could see nothing that meant danger. He just must be dreaming... she figured. She set the cage down on top of her table. "This is Agathangelos," she said, placing a hand on the cage. "He's a clabbert and tells me when danger is nearby. Very useful, especially in the Underworld. You never know what in the water down there. I got him as a present from Persephone - Queen of the Underworld. I'm not sure where she got it from." She put a hand inside the cage and gave the clabbert a small poke. It woke up and started nibbling on her hand sleepily. "He's very friendly; I'm sure he would love to meet you all." |
Tobias' shoulders were hunched over. His eyes were set on the door to the cage. His tailed flicked back and forth, hitting the sides of the cage each time. Was it possible for cats to brood? He just wanted to get out of the cage as quick as possible. OOC: I'm only allowed on during the weekends, so until Friday afternoon, Tobias is in Zekke's hands, unless he decides to give Tobias to Ama if he sees her so he won't be stuck with a cat. Merp, apologies. |
O.o Nadia watched as the girl two rows away explained her pet, and most importantly where she got it from. And just, stared. She tried to cover her mouth not to giggle, or at least not to show. Truth was, there was something about this girl that had Nadia slightly intrigued, and Nadia put it in her To-Do list to actually meet the girl some time in the future. Trying to keep a straight face, Nadia was addressed by Zekke and nodded in response, letting him know she will be taking care of the bird. "Seems it's you and me again, eh, Sparks?" She took the cage in one hand, the PygmyPuff Pufflespuff, or just Puffles for short, in the other, her bag was swinging over her shoulder so she was more or less set. After thanking the Professor, she nodded smiling and exited the place. |
Laurasia returned as quickly as possible to the classroom after finally getting her eagle-hawk, Sam, into a cage. It had been a bit more troubling than she expected because he didn't care for it very much. By the time she returned, she realized that she had missed her chance to talk about him in class. Sighing she wrote down the homework assignment & started gathering her things to leave. While gathering her things up she turned to the professor. "I'll be stopping buy your office to purchase on of the pygmy puffs as soon as possible Professor Dainsie. They're just too adorable." |

Then a few minutes later the professor signaled the end of class and Pacilla jotted down the homework and took off with Pepper. |

(OOC: lets just pretend that Ozzy went down to the Slyth, common roon to get his pet) Ozzy Placed a large cage upon his desk, he reached in and patted his snake Sapphire for a moment before writing out the class assignment. Quote:
Ozzy folded up the parchment and placed it neatly on the professor's desk before gathering up his quill and Sapphire and leaving the room. |
Getting the affirmative from Nadia, Zekke grinned and thanked her. After making sure he had everything, he exited the room with the cages and hurried as quickly as possible back to the SCR, being as careful as he could be with the cages... |
Peony ran up towards the Owlery. Her owl Boreas gave a small hoot of protest as Peony pushed him with one finger. He always mistook it for a tidbit and snapped at her nail. "Boreas!" One lazy yellow eye opened at his owner's voice. Oh. It was that lunatic again. The one who fed him. What could she possibly want? Peony gently lifted her owl off the perch. Boreas had a rather stupid look on his face - but he wasn't as dumb as he looked. Flapping slightly, he lighted onto her head, his favorite perch. Everytime Peony's walk seemed dangerously unsteady, he dug his claws into her hair. They made their way back to the classroom with a good deal of "Ow-ooch, watch it, owww..." Peony had decided not to take Grimwald, because that ill-tempered kitten hated her. He only turned up when Peony put down food somewhere for him, and she only did that because he chewed her socks if she didn't. However, the cat was outside, eerie eyes gleaming as if to say, "Tried to shake me off eh?" Oh nooo... Kitty! cried the Voice in delight. Pretty kitty! Don't encourage it... Peony was sure that Grimwald could read her mind. His eyes darted a little, as if he was following the conversation. Boreas hooted solemnly. Peony tried to edge past into the class, but Grimwald waited, then sank his teeth into her loose socks. "YOU MINGING-" Boreas started off in a flurry of feathers and landed onto Peony's pencil box, watching while his irate owner tried to kick the cat. *** Peony, the worse for wear, sat glowering in her place. Boreas sat quietly on her head once again, now that she had sat down, and Grimwald, like a king, sat atop her cushy pile of papers and licked himself in places no respectable cat would lick in public. "This is Boreas," she sat, pointing rather sullenly to the owl on her head. "I think he must have been stolen out of his nest. He misses it rather, and I suppose that my hair is the closest substitute. He's a Boreal Owl, latin name, Aegolius funereus. In other parts of the world, it is known as Tengmalms Owl. Other names for this Owl are Richardson's Owl, Sparrow Owl, Partridge-haw and Pearl Owl (Finland)." Grimwald gave a loud growl before Peony could get technical. He wanted to hear what she had to say about him. Peony tried to give her report with two conflicting opinions in her head. "We - I mean - I, found him in an alley." He was so cute that we had to pick him up. "- he sank his teeth into my hand and wouldn't let go-" When you tried to pat him. It serves you right. Peony tried to keep her tongue straight. "He's a common cat-" No he's not! He's adorable! "That's the same as common - I mean. Well, he just is." Peony gave up with a sigh. The Voice adored Grimwald, like it/she/he liked anything that gave Peony grief. |
Caleb responded to the question about his pet: "I have here a Barn Owl. I call him Agadon, and sometimes he responds to it. Oddly, he seems to be more responsive to my friend Tina than to me. He is quite intelligent and I've not had to feed him much. He's an excellent hunter, though I think sometimes, he's a bit poor of sight. I suppose that's because I keep trying to use him during the day. Do you think it would be better to visit him during the nightime hours?" Caleb asked |

Lee gathered his things, quite satisfied that he answered something correctly this lesson. He placed them his stuff into his bag which was later swung round his shoulders. He made a mental note of the homework and was on his way out of the class. |
Adz happily made a note of her assignment and left for the lake. "You coming?" Adz smiled at her friends, and left. |
