Jenna went around a table that needed a Gryffindor and put her black dice down.

At least I managed to change them before this. Now I can tell my mouse apart from the others.

Jenna waited for someone at her table to retrieve a game. In the meantime, she sketched a few more little things in her sketchbook.

Rosa opened her box and found risk in it. she wasn't good at this game... she still opened the box and started making everything ready for playing.

"I'll play, Ali" Ginn said to him. "Oops, supposed to have one person from each house, my error." Ginn walks over to the table with the Yahtzee game and starts reading the directions.

Lee looked up to Professor McAiken as he addressed him. Quite happy to take leave at this time he smiled and said "Thanks professor, and will do". He folded the piece of parchment he was drawing on and placed it in his pocket. He retrieved his bag from underneath the desk and headed for the door.

Raven looked around the room hoping to find a partner. She heard what the Professor said and looked on the back where she did find instructions for playing the game. She read over them quickly and waited till some one came and sat down who wanted to play.

Fantastic. An excellent way to start the year. Iphigeneia looked around for a table and spotted one where a Ravenclaw had already settled.

She made her way over and held out her hand.

"Hi - Raven right? Iphigeneia. Nice to meet you."

Jenna realized no one was making an effort, so she left the table and walked over to a Ravenclaw girl.

"Hi. Name's Jenna. Nice to meet you! I'll play." She smiled and sat down, holding her dice in her hands.

Raven extend her hand and shook softly. "Yes, Raven is the name and nice to meet you, I-phig-ene-ia," she pronounced incorrectly having a hard time with her name. "Which game would you like to play?" she gestured the name of muggle games that appeared on the board and the box."

Raven looked away from the Slytherin girl she had just meet and turned towards the Gryffindor. "Excellent," she said kindly and pointed towards another chair. "We was just about to begin and nice to meet you aslo."

Ross stayed put in his seat, he looked around to see the loaction of the professor. He grabbed his book bag and advanced towards him.

"Professor, would it be ok if i departed from your class also, i'm not really into board games i had to put up with them at home playing with my younger siblings and i like to get a break before i ahve to go home and start all over again"

Ross laughed faintly at his little ancidote hopeing the professor whould let him leave.

Iphigeneia grinned widely. It wasn't uncommon for people to struggle with her name for the first time. "It's Ancient Greek," she explained to Raven. She wondered if she ought to explain about the whole Underworld incident, but... I guess that can wait for later...

"So, let's see," Iphigeneia looked through the games in the box and picked up a board with pictures of loopy ladders and slithering snakes. There was also giant weilding a club and an old hump-backed witch with a bag of...something.

"This looks interesting - Snakes and Ladders. Sound good to you?"

Raven shrugged. "If you guys know how to play it then great. I don't know much," she said with an innocent smile on her face turning to the rules. "Muggle games," she muttered under her breathe and read the rules quickly.

proffessor, im going to leave but i'll check up on the homeworl later on, is that ok?

Jenna looked at -Was it Raven?- and the game in her hands.

"I know this game, but I don't think I've ever played it before." She smiled. "The enchanted version should make it all the more interesting, I suppose!"

Raven read over the rules and put the game board box down looking at Jenna and the Slytherin girl who name she couldn't pronounce. "I think I understand," she said shrugging and looking over them again. "It doesn't come off as being to hard."

She set up the boards quickly and put her peice on the game board waiting for others to do the same. "Yes, but some games are better played without magic involved," she concluded on Jenna's statment. "My name is Raven by the way."

"Yeah, they're always simpler that way." She laughed. "Although I'm I huge fan of wizard's chess."

She looked at the game. There were no pieces or cards. "I hope we don't have to throw our mice. I don't think I could get the thought that we're throwing once living things out of my head." She glanced nervously at the dice in her hands.

Raven looked at the board abd smiled. "Ready to play?" she said rolling her dice/mice across the table reading the numbers four and six. She moved her red person six spaces up and smiled. "Your turn," she looked at Jenna and nodded towards the board.

Iphigeneia held out a hand to the Gryffindor student that had arrived at the table.

"Hi, I'm Iphigeneia. (iffy-je-Naya). Nice to meet you!"

She placed the rules out on the table where everyone could see it. The aim of the game was to get from a small burrow (square 1) to a castle that looked oddly like Hogwarts (square 100) whilst getting past giants, trolls, and evil witches and wizards, avoiding snakes that sent you back several squares, and being aided by climbing ladders, small pouches of special potion...

It looked simple enough.

She placed her playing piece - a wizard's cap - upon the board and held tightly onto her dice, waiting for her turn.

Raven tried to pronounce the girls name in her head. She was still messing p so decided to keep her titled as the Slytherin girl that name can't be pronounced. She looked at Jenna and waited for her to move her game board peice.

Jenna rolled her dice but kept her eyes closed. When she heard them stop, she peeked them open.

"3 and 5" She moved her green person along the board. "Aw, poor mice." She looked up at the Slytherin. "Nice to meet you, Iphigeneia!" She sturggled a little with the name. "I'm Jenna. Lovely name. Hard to pronounce though." She smiled.

Iphigeneia laughed. "Not to worry about the name. Call me Fudge if you like. That's what others back Under call me."

She rolled her dice. 3 and 4. She moved her wizard cap and landed on a werewolf that sprang out of the board, mauled her wizard cap and flung it back to start. She blinked several times in surprise, then shook her head and shrugged.

"Darn...anyway, your turn Raven."

Raven laughed at Jenna's comment and rolled once again getting the same pair. She looked at her watch and frowned. "You must excuse me but I am having to attend another class," she said kindly and grabbed her bags walking to the exit. "Nice meeting you two and maybe I will see you around," she kept walking and turned to the Professor before leaving. "Great lesson," she patted him on the shoulder and walked through the doors into the empty corridors.

"Fudge?" She laughed, but stopped ubruptly when the werewolf attacked Iphigeneia's game piece, and jumped.

"Oh, wow. I'm going to have a heart attack by the time this game's over! I get startled easily."

"Oh?" She pouted, and looked at her own watch. "It is about time for my next lesson." She gathered her supplies, except her dice. "I'll play one more round, but then I'm afraid I have to leave too."

Iphigeneia was sorry to see her classmates leave, but she had to admit that it was time for her to leave too. She didn't want to be late for her other classes, especially on the first day, and knowing - or not knowing - the castle, it would take her quite a while to get around.

"It was nice playing with you both," she said, gathering the board and pieces, and, after some thought, pocketing her dice. "I'll put away the game. See you both next class!"

"Thanks!" Jenna was happy to have met some new people. "Yes, see you there!" She walked up to Professor McAiken before leaving.

"Wonderful lesson, Professor! I can't wait until the next one!" She smiled, and waved on her way out.
