Professor Virohsa frowned as Nadia started snoring. "Er.. yes... well, don't worry class. She is allright... and her snores will not bother you during your test taking", she said as she casted a Silencio spell on Nadia. Waving her wand, she lifted Nadia's body and placed it in a corner of the room. There, Virohsa was sure, Nadia could sleep away and not disturb students who were walking in class.

Peony looked ever more dubious as Nadia began to snore softly. She seemed happy enough though - and snoring was better than turning blue, having convulsions on the floor with a bulbous tongue turning purple as it swelled to the size of a banana, and she started growing silvery scales and a pair of wings out her nose.

Would definitely be more amusing though.

But not more reassuring.

Peony slowly drank her potion. It tasted a little metallic, and like earth mixed in water. Peony wrinkled her face as it slid down her throat, and resisted the urge to spit it out.

Slowly a tingling feeling spread through her, but that might just have been relief. Then again, nothing happened and she didn't fall to to the floor sprouting green spots while her face went purple and her nose fell off. She felt a little woozy however, and grasped the table, but it soon passed.

Reaching the end of the exam, Nadia start stirring and feels a bit funny of her stomach. The bed was rather hard too. And the volcano had set some person's hair on fire in her dream which made sleeping less tempting. An alarm should also sound somewhere about an unfinished business; she didn't know what her grade for Herbology was yet. So she slowly opened her eyes and took her surroundings before sitting bolt up right.

She had been sleeping... in the middle of the exam?! Nadia picked herself up and brushed herself over. Wait a minute. She was alive! She was to let a shierk of happiness at the good news - and found, as she was trying to speak, that no sound came out. Well, in this case, suited her. Nadia pointed her own wand at her and casted the non-verbal countercurse.

Of course, a more smug part of her brain intercepted, she couldn't die and she really couldn't fail either. And the doses of venom hadn't been that high, right? Speaking of that, the potion had cleaning properties and the poison would be transformed to her oposite. It was an antidote alright. She cleared her throat, as if testing she could speak. Everything right then. Wow, what a relief it was. Made her feel stupid she had even worried.

What was she doing silent if she could speak anyways? With quite the grin plastered on her face, Nadia moved over to her desk and sat down until the hour was up, couldn't wait to see what was the final veredict. On the other hand, she wondered, how did she ended to one side of the room, lying unconscious on the floor?

Jessica gulped. What would happen if her potion was fatal? But it wasn't, she told herse;f. It was perfectly alright. Right? Errmmm.. Whatever... She stared nervously at her potion. She added her year to the label on her tube and put it aside firmly. Don't be silly, she chided herself. It is not fatal, and if anything happens, Professor Virohsa won't let me die. She siincerely hope her thoughts turned out to be correct.

Xavier, having let the water sit for a while turns back to it and realizes that it had turned blue, probably a little while ago. It was also transparent, just like how the book described it.

Pulling out a tube he poured some into it and labeled it. He left the rest of his potion and brought the tube up to Virosha's desk.

Professor Virohsa nodded as students left their vials on her desk. "Don't forget to drink your potion", she reminded her students.

Xavier nodded and walked back to his seat. Taking a cup out of his bag he scooped some up. Looking at the liquid he wondered if he should actually take it. Looking up he saw Professor Virosha. She had said she would be ready if anything bad happened.

Swallowing his pride he took a drink and waited for the effects, good or bad.

The last few weeks of NEWTs studying had drained him, so he was a bit slower in brewing his final potion for Herbology.

While everyone else was mostly finishing, he was carefully going through the steps, rereading directions and double checking his work.

He had just finished counting down the 40 seconds before adding the water and air elemental plants - the Hibiscus and Marigold - and was waiting anxiously for the color to turn green as he stirred counterclockwise.

When he saw the emerald green color appear, he sighed in relief and added the Evening Primrose slivers with deft hands that were gloved and protected against poisons.

He withdrew the stirrer and set it aside as he waited for the potion to change colors one last time...

When he saw the blueish tint appear, he couldn't help but beam in relief and pleasure. The transparency followed and then... it stopped. The chemical reactions were done.

Maybe that extra Herbology studying I did helped somewhat? he wondered to himself as he waited for it to cool a little.

He carefully collected some of the potion into two of his empty and clean vials and labeled one. The rest he poured into a small flask.

After turning in his labeled sample, he cleaned his cauldron and equipment and sat down in his chair.

Fairly certain he had brewed the potion right and had remembered which flowers were what, he drank the potion from the unlabeled vial and waited for a few moments to see if he experienced any side effects...

Professor Virohsa walked around and reviewed some of the work. "Very well! For those of you who have successfully taken the potion, you can do the last part of your exam. I want 2 parchments that you can write right now about the test. The first should talk about what you think this is an antidote for. The second should be about reasons why if you made it wrong, it would be fatal", she explained.

"After you are done bring it to me and I shall award you points for finishing."

Jessica swalloweed the lump that rose in her throat. With a funny feeling in the pt of her stomach, she raised the vial to her mouth and slowly, after some hesitation, sipped it down, careful not to sprinkle any around.For a second, nothing happened at all. Then she felt a sleepy, pleasantly drowsy feeling. Panicking, she clutched at her stomach and then ---- she felt okay again. Nothing more happened; she was perfectly okay and alive.

I'm alive, she thought disbelievingly. And her potion - or whatever it was - was okay. It was [/I]not[/I] fatal. Yay, she thought happily, wanting to jump around jovially and scream wildly in delight. Happily, she gulped down the rest of it and took out ink, parchment and quill, scribbling away at break-neck speed on her sheet, although she wasn't sure of what to write.

Although Herbology had never been her strong subject, she - nevertheless - loved it.

Laurasia looked over the notes for the potion. Then quickly began. She cut her ingredients into the necessary forms & then stuck her wnd into the water-filled cauldron & used the "Relashio" spell to make it reach boiling quickly. She added the earth-based ingredients & consistently swirled the mixture counter-clockwise for 2 minutes.

She then let the brew sit for the needed 40 seconds & followed by quickly adding the water & air-based ingredients. She again swirled the brew counter-clockwise until the mixture became a nice Slytherin green. She then added the fire-based ingredient & let the brew sit. She took down some notes while waiting for the brew to change colors.

For a few minutes she feared that she had not done it right, as it didn't seem to be changing. Then she noticed that the Slytherin green hue was slowly beginning to fade to a lighter color. She watched intently as the brew shifted into the transparent-bluish hue that was mentioned. She poured a small amount of the potion into a tube & labeled it with her name & house.

Knowing that she needed to drink the potion in order to test it she gathered another vial. Feeling confident in her brewing abilities, Laurasia promptly drank the vial down. A tingling feeling came over her, but nothing more. She smiled proudly, of course it had worked.

Laurasia wrote down the final part of her final & took the materials up to Professor Virohsa's desk.

Professor Virohsa nodded. She read the parchment and looked over at her vial. "Very good! However, you could have expanded a tad more in your first parchmen", she wrote down a number in the school as she was talking.

Patrick looked up from his cauldron. He had followed the first three steps. His water was boiling and his ingredients were now in. He was stirring to left and his timer had been turned. When the last grain of salt fell he stop swirling and slowly counted to 40 the way his mother had taught him.

He added the water element and air element. He began to swirl the liquid again to the left. He took a short moment to reread the list. The fire element would be next but only after the liquid turned green. He went over the potion again to back sure he had not missed anything. The liquid began to turn green, but still Patrick held his hand until all the liquid was a uniformed green.

He added the last ingredient and wait for the blue color and the hint of transparency. Patrick pushed his glasses up on his nose and brushed a drop of sweat from his nose. It finally, he saw what he hoped was the right blue and right amount transparency. He reached for his silver dipper and a vial. Carefully he laddled the completed potion into the vial. He corked it and walked to the front of the room to hand in his work.

Nadia brought parchement, ink and quill and put it on the desk as fast. She inscribed as fast as she coule, thinking she was not going to make it before the ring bells. She kept adding up things, not sure what would be the proper lenght and more even with the last of Virohsa's words to Laurasia.

Professor Virohsa grabbed the parchment and placed it aside. Taking out a bar of chocolate, she looked at Nadia with curiosity. After all, she had to know whether the girl had passed the practical part.

Jessica walked up to Professor Virohsa nervously and handed her the two bluish parchments, similar to the ones she had used in her other exams with the same glittering red writing on them. As she hesitantly handed the professor her written work, the second parchment slipped through her fingers. Before anyone could notice, she bent down to pick it up at once, leaving the first parchment with Professor Virohsa.

With some hesitation, Jessica picked up the second parchment and passed it to the Professor, saying in a faltering tone. “I’ve done, Professor. I enjoyed it immensely and I look forward to next year’s Herbology classes,” her voice became much stronger as she said the last two sentences, and glanced quickly at her second sheet.

Laurasia smiled proudly as the professor examined her potion. She blushed slightly when Professor Virohsa had mentioned her first parchement being too short. "Yes ma'am. I was afraid that it may not be quite long enough. I'll keep your advice in mind from now on."

Professor Virohsa nodded and received both parchments as she was waiting for Nadia's reaction to the chocolate. She read them and nodded. "Very good dear", she said as she scribbled down the awarded points on Jessica's parchment.

Nadia worked diligently for the rest of the hour and wrote so much not even a quick-note quill could compare. All the while, she still had this incredible impulse for chocolate, ever since that dream. She could almost smell it as if it was there. Just what she needed, now she had allusionations.

A bit later and her mouth was dry... but she had thirst for chocolate! Cleaning her forehead in her sleeve for a second to think, Nadia prayed her eyes from the parchment enough to realize something. The professor was standing not much far from her... and she was holding a bar of chocolate.

Nadia stared hypnotized at the bar, almost... could consider... steal it. Maybe... if she was fast enough... Virohsa couldn't notice? Nadia shook her head and her eyes returned to the parchment, but forcefully. Her eyes kept moving to the direction of Virohsa and wondering if she would be able to have a bite...

By the time she was finished, Nadia was feeling exahusted for more than one reason. A feeling she was getting used to, having restricted some source of desire... Anyways. Her redaction, well, Nadia had to say she was not exactly happy with it. Looked like she didn't have her mind on it. Could have been better written - well, will have to do.

Nadia walked up and to the professor, handing in the paper. "I'm afraid it's a bit longer than it should have, hope you don't mind." She left the paper aside on the desk but quite not left afterwards. Lingering to the point it was obvious it wasn't necessary, seemly wondering which question would sound the stranger -- "Are you going to eat that," she blurted. And she hoped she didn't sounds like a maniac.

Professor Virohsa took the parchments and began to read it. "No, dear you can have it", she added as she handed Nadia the bar of chocolate. After she finished reading the parchments she put a grade on them and handed them back.
