Just so long as she knew what she was in for...
He inclined his head again and put the requiste amount of space between them as was necessary for a duel and took up his dueling stance. Making sure she was ready, he caught glances with her, gave a nod and then aimed.
"Stupefy!" His command rang loud and clear and his aim was sure - wand arm straight ahead with the wrist twisting in a clockwise direction when his arm was fully extended.

Laurasia instinctively shut her eyes when she her the incantation called out by Zekke. Suddenly everything was black. She could no longer see nor hear what her fellow students were doing...she was out cold. Her body lay slumped over onto the pillow behind her. Zekke had hit her square in the chest with his spell & the effective was complete.

Roxanne looked to the other person who asked Heshasha to be his partner. "Uh oh I think this is a problem..," she muttered to herself. Finally deciding what to do she said, "Umm....how about we take turns??All three of us I mean.." Roxanne went and got her pillow, making sure it was in place.

Seeing that the spell worked, Zekke aimed again, just as squarely, and with his arm extended and a counterclockwise twist of the wrist, he commanded, "Ennervate!"
After he cast the counterspell, he waited in a dueler's stance for Laurasia to hit him back with the spell. A pillow might be a good idea, but as it was, he was used to dueling in the arena without one. That, and a few good bumps and bruises (usually) never hurt anyone and taught good lessons.

Suddenly Laurasia was once again aware of her fellow students around...& the fact that she was lying on the floor. She looked up at Zekke. "Oh wow. Now that was strange." She swayed a bit as she got up. "Woah, I think I got up a bit too quickly. My, you really are good at that aren't you?"
She strained to look behind Zekke to see if he had a pillow to cusion him as well. "So, do I get to return the favor?"

"Please do." Zekke nodded and decided that with all the students around, maybe having a pillow wouldn't be a bad idea. "Hold on a moment."
He went and retrieved a few pillows and lined the corners of the walls with them and when he was finished, he returned.
"Ready."

Laurasia waited as Zekke retrieved some pillows & lined the area behind him. "Alright then," she said while pulling out her wand. She stabbed the wand towards Zekke while twisting her wrist clockwise at the end of the movement. "Stupefy!" she yelled out, hoping that her aim would be true.

It took ever ounce of his willpower to not use Protego in response to his defense mechanism. He stood and waited with observant eyes for the spell to hit...
3... 2...
As it was, her aim was true and Zekke found himself blacking out into a sea of nothingness. His body crumpled and in a swirl of black and green, his limp form sprawled out on the floor.

Roxanne heard the incantation and braced herself. Everything went dark. It seemed like she couldn't move or hear anything. Roxanne layed still on her pillow, not a sound came from her.

Zekke found himself slowly coming to in a haze of flickering lights and sounds. It was rather like coming out of a migraine...
He was able to stand up almost immediately and he nodded at Laurasia. "That was a pretty solid hit. Ready?"

Laurasia sighed in relief when she noticed that Zekke was, in fact, waking up.
"Thanks," she said when Zekke complimented her casting.
She resumed her stance across from him & braced herself. "Ready when you are," she said with a giggle. ooc - I have to get offline for the night, but feel free to zap me if you'd like.

Martha looks around and spots Laura sitting near her. She immediately moves closer to her friend and says, "Hey, do you want to go first, or shall I?" Laura motioned for her to go first, so Martha stands up and waits for Laura to do the same. Practicing a few times with her wand, Martha finally takes a stance. Stabbing her wand while twisting it clockwise, Martha says the incantation, "Stupefy!" and waits to see if it worked.

Roxanne lifted her self up as she finally went back from being unconscious(sp?). "Wow...Heshasha you did it!"She said cheerfully. Roxanne waited for Patrick to do the spell on Heshasha. 'That felt a little bit weird...,'she thought, thinking back to when she was stupified.

Laura agrees to pair up with Martha and stands across from her friend, bracing herself for the spell. She had never felt a spell cast upon her before, so she was a little nervous. She heard Martha say the incantation and immediately felt the spell's effects. Laura hated the sensation and hoped that Martha would reverse the spell quickly.

He nodded and took his stance again.
Wand arm extended straight in a jabbing motion and wrist twisting clockwise, he aimed steady at Laurasia and commanded clearly, "Stupefy!"

A little surprised that she had succeeded, Martha immediately tries the counterspell. With a stabbing motion towards Laura, she twists her wand counterclockwise and says, "Ennervate!" When Laura didn't budge, Martha tries again, saying the incantation a little louder this time. "Ennervate!" Still nothing happened and Martha frantically raises her hand. "Professor, I've stupified my partner, and now I can't seem to Ennervate her!"
