Rosa smiled. this was really a good class. a lot better than perry's, definitely. she thought a while over the next question of professor rae. then she raised her hand 'maybe a creature who would attack you, but is conscious of doing so, not just because he wants you to go away, like a dog would do if you hit it. one that might even go looking for victims.'

'To classify a Dark creature we should know how poisonous or dangerous the creature is. And if we had any doubts we should read the classification that the department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures give us.'

Lauren rasied her hand again feeling very smart.
''Also, even though mostly all creatures have the ability to hurt someone or something, only dark ones take advantage of that skill.''

"A Dark creature would be considered dark when it is magical of nature, they do not complete a life cycle the way most animals do, and they just tend to harm you for no good reason," Alex replied with her hand raised. "Also they exist simply as a physical extension of an evil intention," she added, biting her lip and frowning. Perhaps this was not one of the longer answers, but it was hort and sweet.

Sarah wrote down the information the Raven had said. Interesting, Sarah thought. She had no idea half of these things.

| Typo Mistress Raven had just realised that she had said how they got their rating. But honestly wasn't good enough information. SHe didn't know what made them be classified as Dark Creatures if it wasn't by what the ministry rated them. |

| Professor Rae really gets her students thinking outside the box. Antwone enjoyed herstyle of teaching, very personal and deep reaching. Not just a bunch of trivia questions for points.

Mel pondered for a moment. "I think what makes a creature Dark is when everything it does causes harm. Or if it's the kind of creature who kills for fun." She prodded her head for more answers. "Though it's not really fair to include an entire race as evil. We learned from the history of Harry Potter that some creatures that are considered "evil" in general do have some exceptions. Just as some creatures that are considered light could have some evil doings in them."

To them, I ask this question... is a dragon a dark creature? Or does it hurt people and animals as a means of getting food and protecting itself and it's young?"
"There are others of you who are talking about the intention of the animal, and I think you have the right idea. An animal that is dangerous or hurts someone out of it's very nature would be considered Dark. For example... why would a Grindylow be considered a Dark Creature?"

| "Well...i know that Unicorns are one of the purest creatures of the wizarding world. And demeantors are quite evil...seeking only for souls for theirselfs. Possible a dark creature is a creature that thinks one-minded, or even mindless. Zombies for example." ooc: are zombies wizardly?

| Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee "I understand your concern, Melanie, but Dark Creatures don't have a normal life cycle as Alex pointed out. They are evil in intent and purpose. They were created to be evil and they will not die unless something happens to make them cease to exist. They weren't just raised bad or good like a dog or a crup."

"A grindylow could be considered dark because it only needs small fish to eat, and yet it still attacks humans, wizard or muggle."

Rosa raised her hand 'when you'd reach their territorium they wouldn't attack you to hunt you away, but just to kill you. and they wouldn't do it because you were an easy meal, but just for the strangling itself.'

Alex raised her hand again. "Because their main purpose in life really is to do evil," she said, simply. "Although, I have heard that a few Grindylows have been domesticated by Merpeople. Hold on ... then would they really be considered Dark creatures? I mean, if someone to alter their lifestyle, would they still be Dark?" she asked, frowning the Professor Rae and stroking her chin at the same time.
