Professsor Kotkin peered into Violet's cup. "Ah, people dancing, I love to dance myself! Two people dancing should multiply that you will be in good spirits and that whatever you have been planning or working on will turn out well and give you much enjoyment! The lion, I've always loved that symbol, being a Gryffindor myself... well, that is a good sign too of courage, loyalty and leadership.... it shows greatness or success with the help of loyal, and possibly powerful friends."

Professor Kotkin agreed smiling. "Yes, it is a weapon, and yet it is a good sign. It represents power or strength, whether spiritual or physical, over your enemies. It is also a sign of social prestige."

Professor Kotkin saw Kalaya with her face closely peering into her cup. "The feather shows inconsistency and undpredictability. It even can show cowardice on the part of others. The sun shows you have talent that could bring with it achievement and success. It would seem that you should shy away from your inconsistencies caused by your doubts you may have due to your observance of others' fears. Look within yourself. You need to depend and put trust in your own talents, and not look to what others are doing, and then, you will find success."

Kalaya listened to the professor. She was a little shaken by what she said, but thought it would be useful for herself.
She scribbled down the prediction and what each thing she had found meant.

Still smiling as she thought of what the tea leaves had read. Nabiya returned to her notes and cleaned them up a bit. And once again looking into her cup,she determined that she had seen and analyzed every single possibility in it. But still, there could be more...and she looked again.

Cecil stepped into the classroom and nodded politely to Professor Kotkin. He silently approached one of the students. "Hello, may I sit down here?" He asked, indicating a nearby chair.

"Sure Mr. Townsend," said Heshasa smiling and returning to her cup. Concentrating as hard as she could to empty her mind she hoped to make atleast one new image. Looking back to her cup she saw that it hadn't changed much but none the less it had changed. What she saw looked alot like a bird. Since it looked about read to attack somehting she guess it was somehting like a hawk. Looking up to find the professor she said, "Professor what does a hawk mean?"

Laurasia had finished writing down her notes from her readings & was waiting patiently. Since she was thirsty, she decided to brew herself another cup of tea & do another reading. As she drank she was focusing her attention on further elaborating the first reading. When she was finished, she did the neccessary cup turning & spinning. She then centered herself & turned the cup over to gaze into it.

She was rather surprised to see a very clear set of images. Her brow knit slightly. She quickly wrote down her new findings. A serpent with a dagger next to it near the top of the rim, but about 2 inches to the right of the handle. The rest of the cup was clear, which seemed rather odd to Laurasia. She slowly raised her hand. "Um, Professor Kotkin, could you help me with this reading. It doesn't look to be a very pleasant one, especially when consdiered alongside the first reading that I received."

Professor Kotkin turned and watched as Cecil took a seat. "Welcome Mr. Townsend."

She then turned to Hesasha and wondered about the timing of Townsend's entrance and Heshasha seeing the hawk. "The hawk usually symbolizes an enemy or some possible threat of danger."

"Well Laurasia, the serpent could represent a spiteful enemy or a bad omen. It is a warning to take great caution to ward off any misfortune. The knife also is warning symbolising a betrayal. Being near the rim something could happen soon, so you should heed the warnings you have received from both of these readings."

"All right class. It's time we wrapped things up here. Please, carefully place your cups over on this table before you leave." she said pointing to the table beside her.

Heshasa carefully set her cup on the indicated table. Grabbing her things she began to clear up. After everything was in her bag she waved goodbye to Professor Kotkin and Mr. Townsend. She climbed down the ladder contemplating what she had seen in her cup.

Violet listened to what the professor said and thought to myself....
She carefully set the cup on the table and waved good-bye to everybody and climbed down the ladder.

ooc: I'm glad everyone was fine!!

Laurasia frowned slightly when she heard the professor's assessment. Just as she though, not good at all. She sighed deeply & wrote down her notes. Once she was finished she packed her things into her bag. She quickly Scourgified her tea cup & returned it to its place on the table.

"Thank you for your help, Professor Kotkin. This was a very interesting lesson even though my readings were rather alarming, I will be sure to watch my back." She managed a small smile & left the classroom.

"Oh my! I hope I didn't set about a bad omen on you!" Said Cecil, rather shocked at the somewhat morbid predictions. When the class was done, he frowned slightly, rather saddened that it had ended so soon. At any rate, he promptly stood up and tipped his hat to Heshasa. "It was a pleasure young miss." He said. He then wandered on his way out, tipping his hat to Professor Kotkin, "An enlightening class professor, I am certainly impressed at your treatment of your students." With a smile, he left.

Ginny packed away her things and departed the classrom.

Rising from he chair, she looked around, surprised that the class had ended just as the ministry official entered. smiling, she went up to the professor and set her cup on the table. "Thanks for the really cool lesson, Professor. I feel a bit lighter now with the images from my cup..although they may not be true."
And because the ministry official was standing right there she gave him a wary look before smiling "Good day to you, Mr Townsend."

Kalaya cleaned up anything that she had taken out during the class and set her cup on the indicated table. Smiling Kalaya said, "Great lesson professor, I really enjoyed it."
Slinging her bag over her shoulder Kalaya walked out thinking over her predictions, wondering if they were true or not.
