You enter a large room with a large window directly across from the enntrance. There are several desks all pointing to the front of the room, which is to the left of the door you came in. To the right of the door you came in is another door, which is likely to lead to the teacher's office and living quarters. There is a teacher's desk at the front of the room, and behind it sits a chalk board, on which is written:

Please take a seat. Class will begin soon.

Second charms class was due now so Lee was wandering outside the charms corridor. He reached the threshold of the classroom and walked in. He took a seat near the middle of the class, Lee found this class very easy and worth doing to earn some well needed points for his house.

Once he was comfy where he was situated he took out his books and wand and other useful appliances that may need to be used into today's lesson.

Ginn walked into Charms class and took a seat near the middle of the class, put her belongings in order and waiting for the class to begin.

Pacilla hurried to the Charms classroom, not wanting to be late for their second lesson. She hoped she could answer some questions and earn some more points for Ravenclaw. When she got there she walked through the open door and to her surprise noticed that the professor wasn't even there yet! Smiling she took a seat in the row behind a hufflepuff boy and took out her quill, ink, some parchment, and her wand. She wondered what they would learn today!

Kate entered from the back of the classroom and quickly made her way up to the front. With a flick of her wand she erased the chalkboard, and then turned to face the class. "Good afternoon everyone. I hope you've all been practicing the charms we practiced last time. We won't be going over them again, but instead moving on. Today I'd like to discuss cheering charms. Do you all know what a cheering charm does?" Kate asked, looking around the room to make sure it was clear.

-emi walks in and takes a seat at an empty desk- hm... -she flips her ginger bangs out of her face but they just fall back into place over her left eye-

Xavier nods. He had read the basics of the cheering charm in a book before. The basics of it were that it was supossed to make you cheerful throughout the day, leaing a feeling of happiness inside you.

Seeing that no one else was answering yet, but not sure she was correct, Ginn popped her hand in the air and said "Would it for making someone cheerful something along those lines?"

Nadia raised her hand to speak. "It's suppossed to convey an emotion on you, in this case, make you happier."

Pacilla's ears perked when she heard the teacher start to speak. She faced the front and nodded, thinking she had a pretty good idea what a cheering charm would do. She raised her hand, but since lots of other students already answered the question she put it down, and contently just nodded along with those who said something about it giving happiness.

*Elyshia walks in and takes a seat next to Ginn.Takes out some parchment and a quill then scribbles down Charms Lesson 2*

"Cheering charms were invented by Felix Summerbee during the 1400s. It is a charm that cheers a person up, makes them happy. They have been known to appear on OWL written exams," Patrick replied to question. "It is most commonly taught in the third year but refined with practice throughout the eduation process and beyond."

Sarah knew the answer but so many other peolpe were answering it she decided that she would wait for the next question.

Heshasa wrote this down even though she already knew what cheering charms did but she was glad someone else had answered. Nodding in agreement with Partick she smailed and waited for the next question.

Jenna nodded along with the rest of the class, jotting down different ideas on some parchment. Figuring everyone had said what she would have said, she kept her mouth shut.

Athena wrote notes down as the other students answered the question. She knew this one, but everyone had beaten her to it. She sighed then looked up to see what was next.

Kate nodded as the students nodded and told her they knew about the charm. "Very good. I'm glad to see everyone is keeping up with their class work. The incantation is gaudeo, emphasis on the first syllable. As you say it, point your wand at the person you are charming. Let's break into pairs and practice for the rest of the class. If you have any questions, I'll be around. Good luck."


OOC: I'll be gone for a few hours, but you guys can practice without me on. I'll answer any questions when I get back.

Athena looked around, not knowing who to parner up with. All the while she repeated the spell, gaudeo, in her head so that she would remember it. Taking her wand out of her pocket, she again looked around the room for a partner.

Sarah saw somebody who was looking for a partner and went up to ask if she could work with her. "Athena do you want to be partners?" Sarah asked.

Pacilla had wrote down a sentence description of the cheering charm on the parchment and also wrote down "gaudeo", the spell used. When they were asked to split into pairs to practice, she sighed. She looked around for someone who might not have a partner. She didn't see any students that she knew well enough to just walk up to them and ask if she could work with them. She found a student who wasn't working with anyone yet (anyone can pretend their this person if they want) and walked over, "Hey, mind if I work with you? I'm Pacilla." She said nervously fiddling with her wand in her right hand.

Jen pulled out her wand and mouthed Gaudeo. She tried the wand movement a few times until she had it right. Looking around at the rest of the class, she didn't recognize anyone. She folded her hands in her lap and being the shy girl she was, waited for someone to approach her.

Athena looked at the girl who had spoken to her. "Sure! My name's Athena what's yours? I figure its better to know each other first before doing spells on each other!" she said smiling.

Ozzy nodded at the Professor and took some notes before extracting his wand fron inside his cloak pocket. He looked around for a familiar face and spotted Nadia.
"May I join you?" He asked her with a slight smile.

"Mine is Sarah. So whos going to start me or you?"

Noel wrote down the spell and looked around for a partner, she noticed Nadia but decided that the last time they had been partners Noel's spells were a little-um hostile, Nadia probably didn't want to work with her, Noel didn't blame her.
