Ready to check out? Then you've come to the right place!
Once you've finished your shopping, you need to escort yourself to the check out counter located on the right side of the store. The shopkeeper can usually be found sitting on the wooden stool just behind the counter, but, if he isn't there at the moment, you are more than welcome to ring the green bell and just wait for him to show up.
Please place your candy on the counter so that he can see what you got and give you the right price.
Also located on the counter is a scale to weigh your candy if needed. Do NOT mess with the scale because if you break it, you're in big trouble!
OOC: Remember, no excess chatting in this thread. There are other places in Sugarplum's to chat with your friends!
ALSO, please specify how much of each item you purchase. I can't charge you correctly unless I know.
Preter...what? Nodding anyhow as if he understood that, he inwardly sighed in understanding, the word 'muggle' echoing in his mind. Right. That's why. Fixing the...leg problem...from the frog, Bryce cleared his throat, smiling though not showing any teeth. Just in case there was, chocolate stuck in there somewhere or something. "Nothing wrong with going for what you're interested in."
And working at a sweet shop was just...the best cherry on top.
Why not have one on his head? "Slightly hard to carry with my hands..." Since, he had that truffle box and too many chocolate frog boxes to carry. Not to worry! Not all of them were for himself. Hehe. Seeing as it was almost routine now to follow after her, Bryce did just that, making sure the box on his head wasn't going to fall.
Anita stepped behind the counter and smiled at the man with the frog box still on his head. Silly man. "No I think it is important to strive for ones goals. Long as it is what you really want to do then go for it. I wanted to be educated from both ends of the spectrum and every little color in between," she said with a grin.
Propping her elbows up on the counter she said, "Well, let's have all of it then. Get your total and all that." He was an odd one... Anita was intrigued. Perhaps she would have an accident and break her wand... she would have to go see him then, right. No. She couldn't break her wand. Perhaps she would need a new holster soon of something of the like. Yes, that is it!

Hmm, yes he knew what she was talking about. He thanked Merlin everyday when he got up to go to work at the wand shop that he did. "Seems like your life is full of too many colors now in fact." he said in a more quiet tone then usual, glancing around the shop. Soooo many colors!
Grinning, he let the chocolate frog boxes fall onto the counter, and leaned forward so the one on his head could join the others before gently laying the truffle box next to them. Hmm, nine chocolate frogs? And a truffle chocolate thing. Yup, that seemed good enough. "Think that's everything."

Anita chuckled at his comment and nodded her head. "Sometimes, perhaps there are too many colors around me. Better than everything being black and white though," she said with a cheeky grin.
Grabbing up the candies one by one and sticking them into a pink bag she did the mental math. Once everything was tucked away she slid it back across the counter and said, "3 galleons, 5 sickles. And... would you like to eat with me sometime... Really? I meant to say, would you like to have lunch with me sometime? "
Anita came out of the back with her arms laden with box upon box of sweets. MEEEEH. Setting them on a shelf nearby she cleared her throat and then removed her wand. Casting a nonverbal Sonorus and pressed her wand to the side of her neck.
"Please, everyone. I must close the shop due the party in honor of a VERY important and VERY BUSY man, Lord Berty Borr. If you would all exit the store that would be lovely! Candy is on me... What you have in your possession at THIS moment that is. Now let's go. You can all follow me to the party," she announced, her voice amplified and echoing through the store.
Emma sat her box of 'Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans' and her 2 Sugar Quills on the counter.
"How much?" She asked.
Smiling at the young girl as shre placed her would-be purchases up on the counter, Frida said with a smile, "For those that comes to 15 Sickles" as she tapped the keys of the old timy cash register, "Be carefull of the snott flavour beans" she laughed as she waited for the coins.

With a DING the register popped open and Frida dropped in the young girls coins, "Oh yes, watch out for them too, nasty business those Vomit ones!" she laughed with a smile, that reached up into her eyes, sending them sparkling like grains of sugar.
you can just pretend you worked out the math if you want XD

Charles hadn't realized just how much time he had spent looking at the candy displays. At this rate, he was going to be late for the staff meeting at the Daily Prophet - which would be a disaster considering he had taken it upon himself to supply the beverages and treats. Well, his daughter had offered to bake cookies and he suggested that he go get a few sweets for everyone as well.
Carrying two baskets filled with various sweets, he set them on the counter with a large thud before seperating the goods into two piles: one for his co-workers at the Daily Prophet, and the other for his little princess.
"Good day!" he beamed looking at the two shopkeepers. It probably would take the two of them to ring up his order. Or, he supposed he could offer to help them out since he was causing so much trouble. "Let's see here...I have...2 pounds of each of your fudges here. My little girl is just dying to try to use them in some of her new cookie recipes. She is just so creative." He paused to push the fudge foreward. "A pound of each chocolate, once again for my little princess' cookie creations. There is also 5 boxes of White Chocolate Almond Truffle, she wants to try those in a cookie as well. Isn't she just the sweetest little girl?! A pound of Nougat and Coconut Ice...what flavors of Nougat are out today? Don't suppose these is a cheesecake flavor is there? My little girl was rather hoping that there might be one."
Having pushed all that forward, he turned to the significantly lighter basket and took out two boxes of Pumpkin Pasties and a dozen sugar quills. "Could you perhaps ring these up separate?"

Frida had been standing at the counter watching the man as he moved his way through the store, like a tornado collecting sweets as he passed, and her mouth fell wider and wider open as the baskets he was carrying began to fill and fill and fill and then fill some more!
She turned to see if Mik was watching too, but he seemed to be busy elsewhere, so as the man arrived at the counter she swallowed and smile, "Someone seems hungry!" She laughed, it was true!
"Sure I can do them as two purchases!" She grinned, mentally preparing for the task ahead, as she began to unpack basket one. The register tapped under her fingers as she added the amounts the prices. Once everything was added, it shot out a piece of parchment with the price, "Basket One is 27 galleons and 18 Sickles" However it seemed he wanted more, "Todays Noughat of the the Day is Pistacio and Lemon, it's delicious, I am sure your Daughter would love it!"
Giving him time to think it over she tallied up the next one, which was much easier, "Basket Two is 7 galleons and 4 sickles!"
and I keep imagining Boromir saying/doing all this XD

Charles watched with pride as each item was carefully added to his total. "Not so much hungry as I want to surprise my little princess," he beamed as he searched his jacket pocket for his wallet.
However, instead of his wallet, he found something much more important: his wallet-sized photo album that contained countless images of his little princess.
He looked up just for a moment when he heard the total and nodded his head. "I have something MUCH better than money," he grinned flipping the album open and allowing a large photo to unravel and cover a good portion of the counter. He looked up at the charming shopkeeper with an obnoxious sparkle in his eye. "Isn't she just the most adorable thing you have ever seen? She is only 3-years-old in this picture. Don't her eyes just sparkle like stars? I used to call her that you know, my little twinkle twinkle star. She always loved that song." He paused to allowed her to examine the photograph in more detail. Perhaps she needed to see it closer up? He could hold it right up to her face if needed. "I always told her that each and EVERY human being is as unique as every star in the sky..."
Thinking that she had probably seen enough, Charles returned that picture to the album and looked back up at her. "Wasn't that picture worth about...10 galleons? Perhaps I should show you another to cover another 10?" He returned his gaze to the album. He probably had several thousand galleons worth of photographs in there.
And he was VERY serious.

Melina took her purchases out of the store basket and carefully laid them on the counter. It was a lot of candy but she wanted to celebrate getting her very first wand today. She also wanted to share some with her new friend Ari, whom she'd met at Ollivander's.

Connor had been standing by the gumball machines. He listened as Mr. H. Tried to pay the shopkeeper with Kurumis' pictures. He reached in his pocket and counted out the 34 Galleons and 22 sickles that the shipkeeper needed. He walked over to the counter. "This should take care of the gentleman's bill sir." He handed the shopkeeper the mmoney and then he turned and bowed to Mr. H. "A pleasure to see you again Mr. Hollingberry. This is payment for the lessons you taught me the other evening." Connor looked up at him and flashed his brilliant smile.

She looked up at the shopkeeper sheepishly. I must look like a little piggy! she thought to herself.
"Hi there! May I purchase these please?" she smiled.
Frida smiled down at the young girl who had just arrived at the counter, she had a look on her face that made it obvious that she was worried about what Frida would think of something buying so many sweets, but she didn't mind, not one bit.
"Umm, you have an excellent eye for candy, you have picked lots of my favourites," She grinned as she tallied up the amount, "All together that comes too 4 Galleons, and 21 Sickles!" As she waited from the coinage, she began to place the sweets into the lovely pink bags of Sugar Plum's.
SPOILER!!: Proud Father and Generous Boy

Frida was so taken back, it was not funny.
The man was wanting to pay with photos of his daughter? Really?
“She is adorable Sir, bu-" The Young Swedish girl had began to explain to the man that he couldn’t pay with images of his child, however sweet she was, when a dark haired boy interrupted producing coins to cover the cost.
“That is very generous of you” Frida smiled, “However I will let the gentleman decide whether he wish you to cover his bill”
Stepping back a little, she watched to see what would happen next.

Charles was just about to insist that she would change her mind when he saw the next picture of his little princess in her first Halloween costume as a bunny rabbit when someone placed some coins on the counter and had offered to pay.
His eye flicked to the voice that he had clearly etched in his memory from the dinner party a few nights ago. When his eyes landed on the dark haired boy with the piercing blue eyes, he felt like his worst nightmare had come true and his eyes narrowed.
"That will not be necessary," he said stuffing the photo wallet back in his coat pocket. "I admire your generosity however." At least the boy was trying to impress...but that didn't mean he had to like it.
He pushed the money back towards Connor and removed his own wallet from his pocket to pay.

Aly walked into the shop already high on a pre-determined sugar buzz. She walked around the shop for a while putting the things that caught her eye into her basket and after a while, once she was satisfied, walked to the counter. "Hello, I'd like to purchase all this please." Aly said as she put her very heavy basket on the counter. In it, it held two pounds of mild chocolate, six lollipops, three packets of sour swirls, two packets of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, 16 licorice wands (one of her favorites), 3 pumpkin pasties, 12 sugar quills (another of her favorites), 2 boxes of lemondrops, 2 boxes of crystallised pineapple, 2 acid pops, and 5 blood pops. "That should do me in for the school year." Aly said smiling to the person behind the counter. "How much do I owe you?"
Frida smiled down at the young girl who had just arrived at the counter, she had a look on her face that made it obvious that she was worried about what Frida would think of something buying so many sweets, but she didn't mind, not one bit.

Melina grinned, relieved that the shopowner did not think she was being a glutton and proud that she had the same favourites as the lovely Expert! "They're my favourites, too! And I have a bunch of friends I'm going to share these with on the train to Hogwarts. That is, if they last that long," she laughed with mock-wickedness. The chocolate frogs are my number one candy of choice, but on the rare occasions when I'm not in a chocolate mood, I go for the fizzing whizbees. Did you know that Florean's stopped making Fizzing Whizbee Swirl? I was heartbroken!"
She watched Frida place the yummies in the pretty pink bags and shook her head. I've just spent nearly 5 Galleons on candy!! she thought to herself. But this was a big celebration day, by Godric- a once-in a lifetime kind of day. So there. Now it was successfully justified.
Melina dug around her purse- yikes, it was getting awfully empty in there! Thankfully, this was her last stop. She pulled out 5 galleons and said with a smile, "I'll just need some change then."

"Hello to you too!" Frida smiled, her first lighting up at the obvious excitment the young girl had exhibited whilst strolling through the shop!
"Ohhh you are a brave girl, going of the Sour Swirls, but I will let you in on a secret, I love them too!" Frida laughed, as he began to tally up the price of the items, "That comes to a grand total of 11Galleons and 5 Knuts!" the Swedish girl said clearly to the girl, as with a wave of her wand, the boxes and bags of treats began to float into a carrybag.

Melina grinned at Frida- maybe someday she could work here with the nice lady! Imagine owning a candy shop- beats "working" for a living, she laughed to herself.
"Thank you!" she said, blushing a little. "I've just met such wonderful new friends today, I can't wait to celebrate with all of them on the train."
"You mean there's a lady on the train whose job it is to supply the Hogwarts' student body with candy?! This school gets better all the time!" exclaimed Melina.
She took the pretty pink bag from Frida and reached out to collect her change. But then she drew her hand back. "Could you keep the change? Maybe a little kid will pick out his candy and be a few sickles short. Then he won't have to go away disappointed." This was the best day Melina had ever had. She could not allow anyone to be disappointed today. Besides, helping out a "little kid" made Melina feel very grown-up for her 11 years.
She smiled once more at Frida and gave a tiny, rapid wave of her hand. "I'll be at Hogwarts until holiday, but I will definitely be back here then! Have a lovely day!" she called out, floating out the door and back into the bustling crowd.
