Canon-compliant, next generation, alternate reality, and everything in between—if it's purely Potter, it belongs here.

CROSSOVER: What happens when the Harry Potter universe collides with another fandom? Our crossover category is where magic meets the unexpected! Whether it's wizards at Camp Half-Blood, Hogwarts students discovering the Force at the Jedi Temple, or a Quidditch match with Marvel's mightiest heroes—if two worlds intertwine, this is where their stories belong.

SSRPG: Bring your SnitchSeeker RPG characters to life beyond role-playing! This category is dedicated to writing that primarily features original characters from the SSRPG forums, whether through backstory expansions, character-driven one-shots, or alternate takes on IC events. Explore the pasts, futures, and untold adventures of your characters.

IC BOOK: This category is for in-character writing crafted as though it exists within the Harry Potter and SnitchSeeker RPG universes. Whether it's a Hogwarts textbook, a published diary, a travelogue of magical destinations, or an opinion piece from a wizarding journalist, these stories are told from the perspective of characters within the magical world—canon or original.

POETRY: Express the magic of the wizarding world through verse! Whether it's an acrostic tribute to the Hogwarts houses, a sonnet for star-crossed lovers, or a limerick about a mischievous Niffler, this section welcomes poetry in all forms. If it captures the essence of Harry Potter through rhythm, rhyme, or free verse, it belongs in this category.

MATURE: Any writing that has a rating of Sa16+. It is important to remember that whilst the content is marked as "mature", Snitchseeker is a family friendly site and all site rules pertaining to the content and material you post mustn't be inappropriate. For more details please read the section marked Inappropriate topics.

What do I need to include in submitting my fanfiction?

• The title is one of the most important things you’ll submit. It will attract the readers to read your story, so make it good! Include the appropriate prefix for your fanfiction so readers who visit the forum can know at a quick glance what they are about to read and to help the fanfiction mods keep this forum and the archives organized. You do this by accessing the drop down Prefix menu and selecting the appropriate prefix:

• Make sure you include a rating for your story. It will not be approved without one. In this section you can have a rating of Sa5+ Sa7+ Sa9+ and Sa13+ Sa16+. So the title of your thread would read Title - Sa13+

  A reminder that all fanfiction on SnitchSeeker MUST contain a rating in the title.

  pSa - Intended for preschool level and younger children between the ages of 1 and 4; free of any coarse language, violence, adult themes and ideas very young children cannot comprehend.
  Sa5+ - Content intended for general audience 5 years and older; free of any coarse language, violence, and adult themes. Zero detail on nasty hexes, zero detail on Crucio and zero romance beyond holding hands.
  Sa9+ - Some content not suitable for young children; Suitable for more mature children, 9 years and older, with minor action violence without serious injury but free of any coarse language. Should not contain any adult themes. Wizards can duel and use unforgivables, but don't go into detail about the effects of Crucio or any nasty hexes. Hand-holding, friendly embraces, flirtatious looks and brief kisses on the cheek or pecks on the lips are okay, but nothing beyond that, romantically.
  Sa13+ - Contains content not suitable for children; Suitable for teens, 13 years and older, with some violence, and minor suggestive adult themes but free of any coarse language. Wizards can duel and use unforgivables, but don't go into detail about the effects of any nasty hexes like Sectumsempra. Hand-holding, romantic embraces, flirting and brief kisses on the cheek or the lips are okay, but nothing beyond that, romantically.
  Sa16+ - Mature; Contains content suitable for mature teens and older; Not suitable for children or teens below the age of 16, possible strong but non-explicit adult themes (depression, mild mention of alcohol or drugs eg. Butterbeer, firewhiskey, and wine ARE allowed), and references to violence (detailed description of unforgivables, and MINOR description of hexes such as Sectumsempra), and Fighting (hitting, kicking, biting, shoving, etc.) is allowed in moderation, but free of any coarse language. Hand-holding, romantic embraces, flirting, brief kisses on the cheek or the lips are okay, minor snogging sessions but no sexual touching or explicit bedroom scenes.

  Not allowed anywhere on site, ever;

  Sa18+ - Contains explicit content and is only suitable for mature adults 18 years or older, which is inappropriate for SnitchSeeker. Inappropriate topics include;

  • Violence
    No weapons are allowed unless they are clearly fantasy (no guns at all, including toy, water, finger, cartoon, etc). No blood or gore. Fighting (hitting, kicking, biting, shoving, etc.) is allowed in moderation in all FF and RPG sections of the site. Please read the individual section rules to get the specifics. Actions, descriptions, and graphics depicting guns or acts of (or intent to cause) violence will be warned or infractioned.
  • Drugs and alcohol
    Conversation about alcohol/drugs, reference to or hinting at drinking/drug use, or graphics depicting alcohol/drugs will not be tolerated. Cigarettes and smoking fall under this rule and is therefore prohibited. Butterbeer, firewhiskey, and wine (since they are in the books) are allowed in moderation in Fanfiction and RPGs (read section rules first!), but we do not allow drunkenness, alcoholism, alcohol related violence, etc.
  • Cutting, Suicide, Self mutilation, Eating disorders
    Not allowed anywhere on the site for any reason whatsoever.
  • Religion, Politics
    Subjects which polarize people tend to stir up strong emotions and start fights. SnitchSeeker is not a place to debate, preach, or campaign. No religious or political conversation or graphics are allowed anywhere on the site.
