Wizarding World Chat [v. 3]

Welcome to the Wizarding World OOC chat thread, where everyone can speculate about the magical happenings taking place in all SSRPG areas (United Kingdom, Ministry, Diagon Alley, and Hogwarts), offer your characters for others to interact with, and more. SS also hosts forums for both Ilvermorny and Beauxbatons as part of the St. Mungo's RPG area for your extended wizarding world RPG enjoyment!

Fun fact: Dhruv wanted to dock points from Mercer and make him do a handwritten apology to the Hufflepuffs {taking inspiration from Anna and her note}. I actually had typed it out in my last post but theeeeen, being the evil RP mama that I am, deleted that and had Dhruv glossed it over with the 'thank you' bit. IC, this was partially because they wanted to carry on the lesson smoothly, partially because they would have pulled Mercer aside after the lesson and decide a course of action for him in terms of making things right {which would have been the handwritten apology}. OOC, I entirely wanted to see how it all would play out and I am not regretful with my decision

Love you guys for making this lesson extra fun

Rogue spells and potions mishaps work wonders. Poor Kat has had her fair share of incidents given Jennifer Morrison's changes in hair.

^ I just love seeing so many characters come together

and so many oldies I recognize from my earlier days on site or former students of Airey who are back and showcasing their professional fields

my RL students already make me feel old (I was legitimately asked by a kid the other day if I had electricity growing up because I told him there wasn't any internet when I was his age

) but on top of that I feel SS old too

also...never thought I would be thinking about how my characters fill in a nametag but oooooh that has been a joy to conceptualize

From Derf smushing his last name together to fit (not so sure my quick Photoshopping properly captures this the way I wanted to) to Jericho doodling to Zinnia being pristine and Candela being swoopy with hers...its a fun little exercise

really just looking forward to engaging and IC networking some more

^ you want to feel old? One of these youtube short channels that i've been addicted to watching lately, it's this young woman who dresses up as Disney party princesses and apparently the kids at her party didn't know who Hannah Montana was and it made her feel old

And she asked her viewers who knew who Hannah Montana was ...

Hmm, now I kind of want to see if I can conceptualize Carsyn's name tag. For some reason I picture her doing some sort of swirls with the 'N' in her name and it might be easier for me to sketch this by hand...
I'm guessing the Hogwarts students don't have name tags, although I suppose they could

I never got on the Hannah Montana train *le oops* but I was telling this kid about Netscape and AOL era internet of the '90's...which is a good decade before Hannah Montana started airing

Probably would be easier to sketch instead of...oh...do something silly like spend an hour or two on and off browsing dafonts seeing if something sticks

I mean i never got into Hannah Montana either, but at least I know who she was ... lol. I think it's cause the youtuber does parties with 10 year olds (and younger) who don't even know who she was.

Just a heads up, that the joint Herbology/Astronomy/Potions field trip GRP has started, here (I know, as if there weren't enough going on, but a schedule is a schedule!)

So come on by and join us--it'll be fun! (and knowing Tapio, there will probably eventually be food)
