uuuuuuuuunrelated but...having a moment looking at my character spreadsheet and finding that BOTH my Marchbanks (Diamond and Benjee) have fir wands with dragon heart string cores they have a TYPE
my Rasting/Hollingberry characters are...all over the board with nary a repeat in wood despite filling out site's wand questionnaire for 7 of them Becky shares a clabbert tooth core with Grandpa Charles though
Flamsteed family tree I have filled out 5 questionnaires and no repeats in wand or core
trends are wild. Makes me wanna do a deep dive

I often reimagine parents wands for their kids when I create theirs. I think it's very plausible that family members would have similar wand types.

in my upstead (plus offshoot) characters I have nem and milo with knarl quill in common core-wise, but several of the fam including characters I don't play have the same wand wood in common (and two of those with the same core), it's fun
also I recall a few times where a character matches with a wand that shares an element with a parent or other relative's and a cute little connection
