Big changes are running amok in the Diagon Alley RPG forum and this means great news for all members of SnitchSeeker! The needs of our members is our number one priority and, with taking feedback and other criteria into consideration, we are pleased to announce the addition of IC Shopkeepers to the Diagon Alley RPG!

You can apply for an IC (in-character) position in Diagon Alley with up to 5 of your characters by filling out the appropriate questionnaire. Once it has been processed and approved by the Diagon Alley Proprietors, you will receive a confirmation PM and then you may proceed RPing your character going about their work day and interacting with customers. These positions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis...but with over 100 options available (see the Diagon Alley: Classifieds for details) there is something for everyone! The questionnaire is accessible all year round and you must renew your character's IC employment each OOC year.

Besides there being 25 shops from which to choose from, there are also different levels of IC positions you can apply to in order to help enrich your characters' stories in the SSRPG wizarding world:

• Part-time position (student, summer)
  Your student characters can gain valuable work experience AND earn some galleons by landing a part-time job (no more than 20 hours a week) in the summer. These positions are for characters in the age range of rising 5th years - rising 7th years and are available only during the IC summer months.
• Part-time position (adult, year round)
  Any character that is of wizarding age or older can apply for part-time work (under 35 hours a week) in Diagon Alley.
• Intern position (student, summer)
  Your student characters can gain valuable work experience by landing an internship (no more than 20 hours a week) in the summer. These positions not paid and instead can be used for wizarding university credits. These positions are for characters in the age range of rising 5th years - rising 7th years and available only during the IC summer months.
• Intern position (adult, year round)
  Any character of wizarding age can apply for an an internship (no more than 35 hours a week). These positions provide a mild galleon compensation and are best suited for those seeking to transition from one career into another.
• Full time position (adult, year round)
  Any character of wizarding age can apply for a full time position (no more than 48 hours a week) in Diagon Alley.

Before you submit a questionnaire on behalf of your character, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

• Your character's employment is an IC only position (your name will not turn teal italics nor will a shopkeeper tag appear in your post bit).
• You will need to renew your character's employment in one year's time (don't worry, you will get a PM reminder when the time is drawing near!)
• One application per character (a maximum of five at this time).
• You will be asked to supply three links to three times you have posted in the Diagon Alley RPG in the past year prior to submitting your questionnaire. These three posts can be reused for submitting up to five characters and do not have to be from the character you are filling the questionnaire out for.
• It is possible to have multiple characters receive IC employment at the same shop, but we recommend you spread your creativity around. No more than two of your characters may be employed at the same shop at the same time.
• Be sure fill out this questionnaire in its entirety and read each question carefully. Incomplete questionnaires cannot be processed.
• Once your application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation PM from one of the Diagon Alley Proprietors. Please be patient.
• A thread is available for you to post bios for your characters over here. Please refrain from doing so until you have received your confirmation PM.

What about the official Diagon Alley Shopkeepers, you may ask? The official Diagon Alley Shopkeeper role has been narrowed down to a small team who will take on the title of Diagon Alley Proprietor. Diagon Alley Proprietors will keep the teal color and tags specific to a select few shops in Diagon Alley with the title of 'Alley Proprietor' beneath it. It will look something like this:

Diagon Alley Proprietors hold OOC authority over the Diagon Alley RPG area and are your go-to source with questions or concerns. IC, their characters form a Diagon Alley Council who have been elected by the owners of all the shops in the Alley to oversee the management of Diagon Alley and represent the interests of its residents and businesses.
