MINISTER'S OFFICE
The Minister's Office is the location for the offices of the Minister for Magic and other administrative staff. It is comprised of the Minister for Magic, the highest position in the Ministry, and the Minister's support staff, who assist in the daily administration of the wizarding world in Great Britain. Work in this department primarily takes place on level one (where the main offices are located) and the Atrium (were the majority of the public services position reside).

MINISTRY ADVISERS
Ministry Advisors hold office on level one and meets regularly with the Minister and Senior Undersecretary regarding the implementation of new laws and governing of the British magical community. They must stay aware of all current happenings in the magical world and gathers information that will help in decision-making processes. An advisor also helps with ministerial campaigns.

INTERNAL LIAISON OFFICE
The Internal Liaison Office is located on level one and serves as the primary communications hub for the Ministry of Magic. Positions here include the Internal Liaison Supervisor , Ministry Ombudsman, and department liaisons.

Ministry Ombudsman
Sits in on meetings, takes employee complaints and conducts interviews and meetings to advise and assist in grievances. Interviews parties involved in the dispute and investigate their claims. Uses mediation techniques, to help them understand each party's perspectives and reach a mutually beneficial agreement.


HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION
Human Resources and Administration offices are located on level one and are responsible for finding, hiring, managing and retaining employees as well as for ensuring that the right employees, in the right numbers, are deployed throughout the Ministry to achieve its goals and maintain its standards. Potions here include Payroll Coordinators, Human Resource Officers, Ministry Event Coordinators, Ministry Recruitment Officers, receptionists, Ministry Scribes, personal assistants, and the Ministry maintenance team.

Payroll Coordinators
Coordinates and communicates with the Senior and Junior Undersecretary where required. Handles all payroll processes; distribution of salaries and bonuses as well as Paid Time-Off forms, vacation hours and sick hours. Manages Ministry and department-wide budgets and keeps track of expenses. Distributes bonuses to each department as budgets allow.

Human Resources Officers
Responds to assignments given by the Minister, Undersecretaries and other Department Heads as needed. Attend to the Human Resource needs to the Ministry as a whole, when and where needed. Assist in the paperwork of hiring and termination of employees, help prepare job descriptions and interviews, compile and update employee records, file paperwork as necessary, etc. Assist and lead recruitment events as necessary.

Ministry Recruitment Officers
Gathers information from each department and advertises open positions throughout the Ministry. May send out informational flyers, host booths in Diagon Alley or attend work fairs at Hogwarts as needed.

Ministry Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is the person over the Maintenance staff. The supervisor of this subdivision works under the Senior Undersecretary. As the Magical Maintenance Supervisor, they will be partially responsible for assigning tasks and jobs and making sure said jobs are completed. They will also be required to do employee evaluations at the end of each Ministry term (for Maintenance staff ONLY).

Ministry Maintenance Workers
Ministry Maintenance are a part of the Ministry Maintenance Sector, and as such act under the Magical Maintenance Supervisor. Tasks executed by this area of the Maintenance Sector include, but are not limited to, broken elevators, jammed doors, bathroom repairs, cleaning/upkeep, architectural design, etc. The Maintenance staff perform tasks on all levels of the Ministry and will be seen regularly frequenting said levels.


PUBLIC SERVICES
Public Services is a sector of the Minister's Office dedicated to the upkeep and advancement of services provided by the Ministry for its citizens and employees living and functioning within its jurisdiction, either directly (through the public sector) or by financing provision of services. Positions in this division include the Ministry Welcome Witch or Wizard, Ministry Gift Shop Attendant, Ministry Daycare & Nursery personnel, Ministry healers, Public Information Services Commissioners, Media Liaisons, Dissemination Officers, and Resource Production Agents.

Ministry Daycare & Nursery Attendant
The Ministry Daycare/Nursery Attendants are a part of the Daycare Sector, and as such are under the direction of the Daycare/Nursery Supervisor, AS WELL AS the Senior Undersecretary. They are primarily responsible for the following tasks: attending to the health and welfare of Ministry workers' children during regular business hours, organizing activities for the children that will promote learning and creativity (in all ages), and the general upkeep and sanitation of the Daycare. It will also be the Daycare/Nursery Attendants responsibility to make sure all forms have been filled out promptly for parents/children new to the Ministry Daycare.

Ministry Head Healer
The Ministry Head Healer acts as the leader and voice of the Ministry Healers. As the Head of this sector, they are responsible for the following tasks: organizing and recording patient data to backup files, reviewing supply inventory, reordering supplies, potions, and other health-related materials when necessary, and handling the more severe patient cases. They will also be responsible (and held accountable) for any severe aliments brought about by negligent 'Healer practices'. The Head Healer is NOT required to do employee evaluations at the end of each Ministry term, as all Healers must answer directly to the Department Head, who will evaluate them individually at the end of each Ministry term (for Healer staff ONLY).

Ministry Healers
Ministry Healers are a part of the Healer Sector, and as such act under the direction of the Department of Specialties Department Head. As a Healer in the Ministry, they are responsible for the following tasks: organizing and recording patient data, administering potions and treatments to Daycare and Nursery children, as well as employees inside the Ministry, proper disposal of implements and potion vials (when necessary), and keeping track of supplies used. They will also be responsible (and held accountable) for any severe aliments brought about by negligent 'Healer practices'. Healers must answer directly to the Senior Undersecretary, who will evaluate them individually at the end of each Ministry term.


PUBLIC INFORMATION SERVICES
The Public Information Services office oversees all communication from the Ministry to the media. This includes work with outside reporters. This office ensures that media outlets receivea accurate information. This office is also in charge of all Ministry propaganda and internal media. Positions in this office include the Public Information Services Commissioner, Media Liaisons and Dissemination officers.

Public Information Services Commissioner
The Public Information Services Commissioner works with the Minister, and Undersecretaries to create and distribute official Ministry statements. They also relay information to and works with the Media Liaisons and the rest of the division to organize and properly distribute information. They stay up-to-date on newspaper articles, opinion articles, and other quips regarding the Ministry to moderate and respond as necessary.

Dissemination Officers
The Dissemination Officer works with all Ministry propaganda and the production of official political causes and stances. They will also release official Ministry advertisements, promotions and other information as necessary. They will also circulate information via flyer, poster, news articles, etc., to the public and to the Daily Prophet.




EDUCATION OFFICE
The Education Office oversees all of the magical education under the Ministry's jurisdiction. This sector of the Minister's Office works with the Hogwarts Board of Governors when necessary and manages all things education. Positions in this division include the Education Office Supervisor, Wizarding University Liaisons, Primary School Liaisons, Hogwarts Liaisons, Career Advisors, and Examination Proctors.

Education Office Supervisor
The Education Office Supervisor oversees the education office, conducts division meetings as necessary and communicates with the Senior Undersecretary. They also communicate with Human Resources concerning budget use and spending. They will also liaison with the Board of Governors as necessary and when needed. The Supervisor will also conduct employee evaluations at the end of each year (for the education staff ONLY).

Wizarding University Liaisons
The Wizarding University Liaisons work directly under the Education Office Supervisor and communicate between the Education Office and all Wizarding Universities under the Ministry's jurisdiction. They keep track of enrollment and graduations statistics, assist with Administration and University Human Resources, conduct audits and monitor testing statistics.

Primary School Liaisons
The Primary School Liaisons work directly under the Education Office Supervisor and communicate between the Education Office and all Wizarding Primary schools under the Ministry's jurisdiction. They keep track of enrollment statistics, conduct audits, monitor education programs and advise when necessary.

Hogwarts Liaisons
The Hogwarts Liaisons work directly under the Education Office Supervisor and communicate between the Education Office and the Hogwarts Board of Governors and the Hogwarts Headmaster. The Hogwarts Liaison is to attend all Hogwarts Board of Governor's Meetings and all quarterly Hogwarts staff meetings. They also keep track of enrollment statistics, testing statistics, conduct audits, monitor education programs and advise when necessary.

Career Advisors
The Career Advisors work directly under the Education Office Supervisor and work with Hogwarts age students (and beyond if necessary) to help plan for the future. This includes work after Hogwarts, university applications and admissions, internships, apprenticeships and any other career-related inquiries and concerns that a student or young person may have. A person does not have to be a student to make use of a Career Advisor, but the service is free while they are a student at Hogwarts. Career Advisors may travel to Hogwarts to meet with students or communicate via owl.


Wizarding Examination Proctors
The Wizarding Examination Proctors are hired temporarily every time OWLs, NEWTs and other exams are held. Other exams include tests within University courses. The Examination Proctors are in charge of monitoring examinations and ensure the absence of cheating, test tampering and other issues that may arise during an examination. Proctors also use anti-cheating spells to detect any cheating while they grade each exam. They will also mail OWL and NEWT results back to the student once graded.

DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
The Department of Magical Law Enforcement operates with the utmost dedication to maintaining law and order within the wizarding community of the United Kingdom. Members of this department use a combination of magical and Muggle surveillance techniques, utilizing spells, charms, and enchanted objects alongside modern investigative methods to detect and prevent magical breaches and criminal activities. The department plays a crucial role in enforcing the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy and preserving the safety and security of the magical world. To address specific aspects of magical law, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is divided into specialised units. Employees of this department deal with incidents involving the accidental or intentional use of magic, investigate magical crimes, apprehend dark wizards and witches, and manage the legal processes and proceedings of the magical courts.

In the British Ministry, the offices which come under the jurisdiction of Magical Law Enforcement are:

ADMINISTRATIVE BRANCH
The administration branch of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement includes the Department Head, the Personal Assistant to the Department Head, the department receptionist, and the department liaison assigned to this level. Members of committees and special investigative bureaus are also listed here, though these roles may be in addition to other positions within the department. Where employees of other departments are listed as members of committees and investigative councils, they are honourary members and present in an advisory capacity.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE DEPARTMENT HEAD
Requirements and Role Description:
The Personal Assistant to the Department Head assists with day-to-day operations and helps the department head navigate through their day. The personal assistant works on an individual level and is relied upon to know the department head's schedule inside and out. The personal assistant will help plan the department head's days, work with them to coordinate travel, draft important owls/official announcements/speeches, and possibly other private duties like picking up gifts, making dinner reservations, arranging for dry cleaning, etc. Listening and communication skills are essential and the personal assistant will be the first line of communication between the department head and the outside world on many occasions. At least 4 NEWTs or experience in a similar role are needed for this job.


DEPARTMENT RECEPTIONIST
Requirements and Role Description:
The Department Receptionist responds to assignments given by the department head. The Department Receptionist receives and responds to general owl messages (simple questions or requests from the public), attends to tasks at the front desk of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement (greets and directs visitors, responds to general questions), and may be assigned the task of creating, sending out, and or delivering notices and letters from the department. At least 4 NEWTs or experience in a similar role are needed for this job.

IMPROPER USE OF MAGIC OFFICE
The Improper Use of Magic Office (IUMO) is tasked with monitoring, preventing and containing any and all instances of the magical misuse. As a result, there are several divisions in this department, dedicated to some form surveillance, detection or investigation. Careful records are kept in this department and field work becomes a must when matters concerning the improper use of magic are concerned. The Improper Use of Magic Office deals with offences that are more regulatory in nature than criminal, but will cooperate with MLES where required if offenses escalate or are committed by a wanted criminal. IUMO provides opportunities for field work as well as office-based work and is particularly suitable for those who have studied magical laws and regulations.

INVESTIGATIONS DIRECTOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have good knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the improper use of magic by underage and adult individuals. 5+ years of experience within this field or similar is required to be considered for the role, as well as managerial, organisational, operational, and field experience. 5 OWLs at an E level or higher are required. History of Magic is recommended. Further study and Certification in Magical Law is required. This role requires maturity and leadership ability. The Investigations Director will set objectives, lead investigations and undercover operations concerning breaches of the Decree of Underage Sorcery and Statute of Secrecy, and provide opportunities for their division to develop specialist skillsets within trace surveillance and improper charm detection and analysis. The Investigator will also work closely with the Obliviator Headquarters and Accidental Magic Reversal Squad within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as needed.


SENIOR BREACH INVESTIGATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have good knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the improper use of magic by underage and adult individuals. 3+ years of experience within this or a similar field is required to be considered for the role, but may be awarded to deserving individuals with a proven track record. 5 OWLs including Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Transfiguration or further study in Higher Wizarding Education is required. Operational and field experience will be required to investigate magical misuses and communicate with offenders. A Senior Breach Investigator will meet set objectives, participate in investigations and undercover operations concerning breaches of the Decree of Underage Sorcery and Statute of Secrecy, and work to develop specialist skillsets within trace surveillance and improper charm detection and analysis. The Investigator will also work closely with the Obliviator Headquarters and Accidental Magic Reversal Squad within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as needed.


JUNIOR BREACH INVESTIGATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have good knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the improper use of magic by underage and adult individuals. This is an entry-level position with a sliding pay scale based on experience. 5 OWLs including Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Transfiguration or further study in Higher Wizarding Education is required. Operational and field experience will be required to investigate magical misuses and communicate with offenders. A Junior Breach Investigator will meet set objectives, participate in investigations concerning breaches of the Decree of Underage Sorcery and Statute of Secrecy, and work to develop specialist skillsets within trace surveillance and improper charm detection and analysis. The Investigator will also work closely with the Obliviator Headquarters and Accidental Magic Reversal Squad within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as needed.


ARTEFACT CONTROL & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have good knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding magical laws and Muggle artefact regulation, a proven ability to identify and safely handle potentially dangerous magic, and a willingness to work with other departments where necessary. An Artefact Control and Compliance Officer is a field agent for this office and must be able to cope under pressure and work effectively in dangerous situations. 5 OWLs at an E level or higher is suggested, though equivalent experience within the field may be acceptable at the discretion of the department head. Recommended fields of study include Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, Potions, and Transfiguration. An Artefact Control and Compliance Officer will conduct periodic checks on modified artefacts, which may be confiscated and restored to their original state if inappropriate bewitchments are identified. The Specialist will assist the IUMO Investigative team and may be required to accompany them as needed. The Officer will also work closely with the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as needed.


COUNTERFEIT MAGIC IDENTIFICATION SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be skilled in charm detection and analysis, potion and magical ingredient identification, and a thorough knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding defensive and protective charms, and potions used on magical objects. Experience within this field or equivalent Higher Wizarding Education is essential. 5 OWLs at an E level or higher is suggested, though equivalent experience within the field may be acceptable at the discretion of the department head. Recommended fields of study include Ancient Runes, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Transfiguration. A Counterfeit Magic Identification Specialist will analyse all evidence brought in for testing by Magical Law Enforcement as well as any other Ministry Department as required. The Specialist will assist the IUMO Investigative team and, while the role is mostly laboratory-based, may be required to accompany them as needed. The Specialist will also work closely with the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes as needed.

MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SQUAD
The Magical Law Enforcement Squad (MLES) is tasked with general law enforcement, the investigation of suspected crime in the Wizarding World and the capture of dangerous Wizarding criminals. Divided between Hit Wizards and Patrol Officers, the MLES ensures that Wizarding Law is followed to the letter and works with other specialty divisions within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where required if the criminal activity overlaps. Hit Wizard is a specialty role that requires in-depth training and high grades in school to get into the training program. Patrol Officers do not need to go through the same initial in-depth training, and may work through the ranks to be accepted as a Hit Wizard once the Department Head judges the field experience matches the required training. MLES employees may work undercover, patrol Wizarding Britain, and participate in covert operations as required.

MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PATROL

CHIEF INSPECTOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The Chief Inspector will ideally be from a Hit Wizard background or have experience as a senior member of the investigative teams across the department and have undertaken extra training to have been offered this role. This role requires maturity and proven leadership skills. The successful applicant will be skilled in all aspects of Law Enforcement and criminal apprehension. The Chief Inspector must possess a thorough knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations. At least six years of experience within this field or similar is required to be considered for the role, as well as managerial, organisational, operational, and field experience. The MLEP Chief Inspector must have achieved 5 OWLs, including Defence Against the Dark Arts, and served as a Hit Wizard/Witch or an equivalent role with a specialist focus. The MLEP Chief Inspector oversees operations within the MLES, cooperates with other Magical Law Enforcement divisions where required, liaises with other departments as required, meets objectives set by the Magical Law Enforcement Department Head, plans and executes investigations and undercover operations where necessary, and can step in and perform the roles of their team.


HIT WIZARD/WITCH
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be certified in all aspects of Law Enforcement and criminal apprehension. A Hit Wizard/Witch must possess a thorough knowledge of magical laws and standards in regards to the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations. At least 6 years of training or experience within this field or similar is required to be considered for the role. 5 OWLs including Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration are required. A fully qualified Hit Wizard/Witch must have passes in Defensive Charms and Counter-Curses, Advanced Magical Combat, Arrest and Take Down, Magical Law and Legislation, Covert Magical Operations, Questioning and Interrogation, and Magical Criminal Profiling. A Hit Wizard/Witch is responsible for enforcing criminal law, conducting investigations, and conducting arrests of criminals. The Hit Wizard/Witch will cooperate with other MLE divisions where required, liaise with other departments as required, and meet objectives set by the MLEP Chief Inspector and Magical Law Enforcement Department Head. They may be required to actively patrol areas of Wizarding Britain and provide extra manpower at the request of the Auror Headquarters. Specialist skills held by an individual will dictate other assignments such as undercover operations, internal investigations, and hostage negotiations.


PATROL OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be certified in all basic Law Enforcement and criminal apprehension. A working knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations is required. An MLEP Patrol Officer is responsible for enforcing criminal law, patrolling the Wizarding World as required, and stopping troublemakers. 4 OWLs including Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration are recommended. The MLES Officer will cooperate with other MLE divisions where required, liaise with other departments as required, and meet objectives set by the MLEP Chief Inspector and Magical Law Enforcement Department Head. MLEP Patrol Officers may be required to provide extra manpower to other divisions and departments as required. Specialist skills held by an individual will dictate other assignments. For experienced MLEP Patrol Officers, extra training may be provided to certify as a Hit Wizard/Witch in the future.


PATROL OFFICER IN TRAINING
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be certified in all basic Law Enforcement and criminal apprehension. A working knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations is required. This is an entry-level position with a sliding pay scale based on experience. Applicants must be at least seventeen years of age to begin on-the-job training and will be partnered with more experienced MLEP Patrol Officers. This is an entry-level position, and 4 OWLs including Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration are recommended. Aside from the required training undertaken in a three-month orientation, either on the job or in a training institution. Upon gaining the core subjects and demonstrating applied competence in each, a patrol officer may apply for a promotion to MLEP Patrol Officer, which will be accepted or declined at the Department Head's discretion. This upskilling process is expected to take approximately 3 years.


MAGICAL EVIDENCE RETRIEVAL & REVIEW TEAM

EVIDENCE SUPERVISOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be skilled in charm detection and analysis, potion and magical ingredient identification in regards to defensive and protective charms, potions, and objects. 7 OWLs at an E level or higher are suggested, but equivalent experience within the field may be acceptable at the discretion of the department head. Recommended fields of study include Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, and Transfiguration. Experience of at least five years within this field, or equivalent Higher Wizarding Education is essential. During an investigation, the Evidence Supervisor will direct those who are at the scene to find evidence and ensure everything is left untouched and preserved for the case. They will also archive every item and make sure that all the paperwork is completed and turned in to the Department Head.


EVIDENCE RETRIEVAL OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will be skilled in charm detection and analysis, potion, and magical ingredient identification in regards to defensive and protective charms, potions, and objects. This is an entry-level role and provides a good foundation for advancement within the Magical Law Enforcement career track. Recommended fields of study include Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, and Transfiguration. The Evidence Retrieval Officer will collect and bag every item in the vicinity of the crime scene, ensuring that they are careful not to make any compromising moves or touch any evidence with their bare hands.


CRIME SCENE PHOTOGRAPHER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of how magical and nonmagical cameras work. Specialist skills are preferred but not required as they will be developed on the job. This is an entry-level role and provides a good foundation for advancement within the Magical Law Enforcement career track. Three OWLs or further study in Higher Wizarding Education is required. Recommended subjects include Charms, Defence against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Potions, and Transfiguration. Before the evidence retrieval is done, the Crime Scene Photographer must go in and take pictures of everything in the vicinity, getting as much detail of the scene as they can. They must not touch or move any object on the scene. They will also be able to develop the pictures that have been taken.


PENSIEVE REVIEW SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have excellent observational skills, a good working knowledge of Ancient Runes and magical items, and a strong understanding of potions and charms, and how each of these work in tandem with each other. Further studies in the mind and memory-related magic are looked upon favourably. Recommended fields of study include Ancient Runes, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Potions. The Pensieve Review Specialist will study and analyse all memories collected from witnesses and suspects associated with alleged crimes. They will keep detailed records of even the smallest details in a memory and study the structure of the memory itself to check for any tampering. Pensieve Review Specialists often spend hours revisiting the same memories to look for new information that might have been missed and must possess a keen eye for detail that is not tempered by familiarity. If needed, they will correspond with the Memory Restoration and Retrieval Bureau within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes

AUROR HEADQUARTERS
Aurors are an elite magical law enforcement unit tasked with protecting the Wizarding World from dark wizards and witches. They specialise in the identification and defence against dark magic and are taught to use any means necessary to take down a dark wizard. They are licensed to use even unforgivable curses if a situation calls for it. It takes three years of training to become an Auror and this is usually done at a specialised training institution, of which there are several in the Wizarding World. MLE employees in other divisions may undertake training if they wish to become an Auror at the discretion of the Department Head. Some of the required subjects include Stealth and Tracking, Advanced Magical Combat, and Concealment and Disguise.

The successful applicant of the Youth Auror Training Initiative (YATI) must possess a foundational knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations. The minimum requirement to be an Auror Trainee is 5 NEWTs at E level or higher in Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration. Being a part of YATI consists of a series of extensive courses and stringent suitability tests and is an entry route to the Auror profession. Proficiency in Stealth and Tracking, Advanced Magical Combat, and Concealment and Disguise in addition to a minimum of five other training courses are required to graduate from the Auror recruitment programme. Each Auror trainee is assigned a Senior Auror as a mentor. Graduating from YATI and being promoted to Junior Auror takes approximately 3 years.

MINISTRY SECURITY
Formerly part of a now-defunct department once shared with the Maintenance office, the Ministry Security office has always existed in some form or another in the British Ministry, but it has always been a necessity. There are many roles in Ministry Security ranging from the Wand Weighers who work in the atrium, to special event security, internal liaisons, internal investigations specialists, sentinels, and level guards. Some of the security work requires specialty knowledge while other positions are entry-level. Because the employees of the Security Office must work closely with Law Enforcement, and indeed are required to undergo much of the same training, the Department of Law Enforcement has recently absorbed the Security Office to ensure it operates to the highest of standards and the British Ministry is as well protected internally as Wizarding Britain is protected externally.

MINISTRY SENTINEL
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant must be well versed in magical security measures, will have undergone Ministry-approved security training and may have experience or training in other avenues of Law Enforcement, particularly as Auror or Hit Wizard/Witch. They must have a strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the magical law enforcement community, have passed stringent suitability tests, and hold no criminal record. Specialist training is required in this role but may be undertaken on the job. Pay will be adjusted based on skill and certification. 5 OWLs are required including Ancient Runes, Charms, Defence against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration. A Ministry Sentinel is tasked with setting defensive wards and surveillance charms throughout the Ministry of Magic and ensures the Ministry itself remains hidden from non-wizards in Muggle London. The Sentinel focuses on the security of the Ministry environment, rather than of the employees themselves. The role is to defend the Ministry from dangerous outside influences at all costs, as well as surveying the Ministry premises to ensure security issues do not arise from within. It is the Sentinel who is tasked with ensuring restricted areas remain restricted and as such may be called upon by any department head across the ministry to check and establish these restrictions.


SECURITY OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have undergone Ministry-approved security training. People skills are beneficial in this role as it will require interaction with many employees across the Ministry as well as with any visitors to the Ministry of Magic. A working knowledge of pertinent law and the magical law enforcement community is beneficial in this role. No OWLs or NEWTs are required, but certification in Ministry Approved Security Training is necessary. This certification can be undertaken on the job. A Security Officer may not hold a criminal record of any kind. This is an entry-level position with room for career growth and development. Successful applicants will be paid based on experience and skill. A Security Officer will be assigned to patrol and guard particular areas of the ministry or sites of ministry interest around Wizarding Britain. Security Officers will work with Ministry Sentinels and Internal Investigations Liaisons as necessary and are required to work at the direction of the Head of Security and Magical Law Enforcement Department Head as needed.


WAND WEIGHER
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant will have undergone Ministry approved security training People skills are beneficial in this role as it will require interaction with many employees across the Ministry as well as with any visitors to the Ministry of Magic. Technical aptitude is beneficial, and a thorough understanding of wand woods, core lengths, and qualities is necessary. No OWLs or NEWTs are required, but certification in Ministry Approved Security Training is necessary. This certification can be undertaken on the job. This is an entry-level position with room for career growth and development. Successful applicants will be paid based on experience and skill. Based at the security desk in the atrium of the Ministry of Magic on level 8, the Wand Weigher is required to use specialist magical equipment to assess, examine, and identify all wands coming into the Ministry of Magic and record anomalies such as unregistered wands or wands not registered to the bearer. New employees must have their wands registered with the Wand Weigher. The Wand Weigher may be required to distribute temporary or replacement wands at the direction of the Magical Law Enforcement Department Head and will keep a current list of employees who are licensed to carry a second wand. The Wand Weigher must follow up on all Ministry accounts held at Ollivanders, keep up to date with new cores or woods, and maintain the condition of all Ministry spares.

WIZENGAMOT
The Wizengamot is wizarding Britain's judicial and legislative authority and serves both as the high court of law and parliament. A branch of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, there are fifty members in the Wizengamot at any one time, made up of important personages of Wizarding society. They are only summoned to the ministry when required and in most cases, only a selection of the fifty will be called upon at any one time. The Wizengamot wear plum-coloured robes embroidered with a silver letter W when court is in session. Aside from the Wizengamot itself, the division contains the Wizengamot Administration Services office and the British Office of Wizarding Law. The Wizengamot Administration Services office employs a court scribe to sit in on Wizengamot sessions, manage the Wizengamot roster, and work with all departments across the ministry, via the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in regards to setting court dates and hearings for offenders. They also help source mediators, lawyers and advisors as required by the wizarding public. The British Office of Wizarding Law provides courtroom prosecutors, mediators, documentation experts, and legislators as required by the ministry. They work closely with the International Office of Law found on level five.

Further training in Magical and Muggle Prosecution Law at a University level is beneficial but not required as this is an administrative role. A working understanding of Magical Law and Regulations is beneficial. At least five years experience within administrative roles is required. The successful applicant will aid the Wizengamot Comissioner in selecting esteemed members of the Wizarding Public to sit on the Wizengamot itself, as well as oversee all adminstrative tasks required by the Wizengamot. The Coordinator will assign a court scribe for each hearing and arrange for all recorded information to be archived efficiently. The Coordinator oversees the Wizengamot Administration Services office and answers to the Wizengamot Commissioner and the Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement.


WIZENGAMONT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

WIZARDING DIRECTOR OF PROSECUTION

The successful applicant must be an intelligent, articulate, and persuasive leader, with a thorough understanding of the Magical legal system. This role requires people skills and leadership experience, with a particular emphasis on mentoring others within the field. 7 NEWTs are required in any subject at an E grade or higher. Further training in Magical and Muggle Prosecution Law at a University level is necessary. Representing the Ministry of Magic, this role is Ministry-based and requires a close working relationship with the Minister's Office and the Department of International Cooperation, as well as within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement itself. MINISTRY JURISPRUDENT

The successful applicant must hold a good understanding of the Magical legal system and a thorough understanding of Magical Law and Regulations. This role requires people skills and confidence in the philosophy and science of law. Experience in an advisory capacity, with a focus on lawmaking and political and public legal matters is beneficial to this role, but applied skills may be developed on the job. 5 NEWTs are required in any subject at an E grade or higher. Further training in Magical and Muggle Law at a University level is beneficial, as well as an interest in politics. The pay scale is adjusted based on experience. A Ministry Jurisprudent is a core member of the British Ministry legal team and advises on magical legal matters for individuals and/or the Ministry when new laws are being passed. Research may be required to gain an understanding of the far-reaching effects of new laws and legislation and the Jurisprudent is to advise the relevant parties of these matters. This role is Ministry-based and requires a close working relationship with all Ministry Departments. The successful applicant will work at the direction of the Wizarding Director of Public Prosecution, Wizengamot Commissioner, and the Magical Law Enforcement Department Head as indicated.


MINISTRY LEGISLATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The successful applicant must hold a good understanding of the Magical legal system, a thorough understanding of Magical Law and Regulations, and a working knowledge of historical law and legislation. This role requires people skills and is best suited to a politically minded individual. Experience in an advisory capacity, with a focus on lawmaking and political and public legal matters is beneficial to this role, as is experience in a range of Ministry Departments, but applied skills may be developed on the job. 5 NEWTs are required in any subject at an E grade or higher. Further training in Magical and Muggle Law and Politics at a University level is beneficial. The pay scale is adjusted based on experience. A Ministry Legislator works directly with the Minister of Magic and the Wizengamot regarding drafting, presenting, and passing new laws and legislation. The Ministry Legislator may be required to review old laws and suggest amendments as indicated by the Wizengamot and the Minister of Magic. It will often be necessary to work closely with others in the division, particularly the Ministry Jurisprudent and Scrivener. The successful applicant will work at the direction of the Wizarding Director of Public Prosecution, Wizengamot Commissioner, and the Magical Law Enforcement Department Head as indicated.

DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL ACCIDENTS & CATASTROPHES
The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is responsible for repairing and reversing accidental magical damage within the Wizarding and Muggle Worlds. Members of this department leap into action when magic spells go awry, especially when magical effects are spotted by Muggles. The department works to "clean up" the scene of any such event, modifying memories and reversing bewitchments. As necessary, the department creates alternate stories to feed to the Muggle press to keep the existence of the magical community a secret. Above all, the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is tasked with upholding the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. In addition to being the first point of contact in response to magical incidents, employees of this department deal with experimental magic provisioning, spell testing and registry, event and structure concealment, and memory restoration and manufacturing.

OFFICE OF MISINFORMATION
Originally the Office of Misinformation was a singular entity under the jurisdiction of the Department of Magical Creatures, but in 2046 it was moved to the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes to better facilitate close working relationships with the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee and the Obliviator Headquarters. It became its own division in August 2052 and subsumed the Obliviator Headquarters, the Memory Restoration and Retrieval Bureau, and the newly formed Reminisciator Unit by December of that year. The Office of Misinformation absorbed the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee and Muggle Liaison Office and streamlined the positions on the Committee in March 2079. The division has a close working relationship with all other departments, particularly the Department of Ecological Regulation and Protection in relation to Yeti and Kelpie sightings, the most famous being the ongoing Loch Ness Monster situation, in which the division actively works to convince Muggles that all photographic evidence of the Loch Ness Monster is fake. The Office of Misinformation liaises directly with the Muggle prime minister to seek a plausible non-magical explanation for magical events and is the first point of contact for maintaining the integrity of the Statute of Secrecy.

OBLIVIATOR HEADQUARTERS

HEAD OBLIVIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The applicant must be willing to work on call as needed. This role requires 8+ years of experience as an Obliviator. Management experience is recommended but will be developed on the job. Obliviators must be exceptional with memory charms and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms is required, along with at least 5 other NEWT level subjects. Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and History of Magic are recommended. The Head Obliviator oversees and plans all operations undertaken by Oblivator HQ, liaises with other departments as required, and is responsible for meeting all objectives set by the A&C Department Head. The Head Obliviator assigns trainees to Senior Obliviators and ensures that all training within the division is completed to the highest of standards. The Head Obliviator must excel at all aspects of the Senior Obliviator and Oblivator roles and may be required to fill in as necessary.


SENIOR OBLIVIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The applicant must be willing to work on call as needed. This role requires 5+ years of experience as an Obliviator. Senior Obliviators must be exceptional with memory charms and hold a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms, along with at least 5 other NEWT level subjects. Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and History of Magic are recommended, but any sub-disciplines of these subjects are also acceptable. Further training in magical crowd control must be a focus within this role. Senior Obliviators are generally not called upon for routine breaches and are instead on call for major events, magical accidents, and catastrophes. A Senior Obliviator may be assigned trainees to mentor, and as such need to be familiar with current training standards. A Senior Obliviator may be required to lead teams in the field at the direction of the Head Obliviator or A&C Department Head. A Senior Obliviator must be familiar with all aspects of the Obliviator role, and able to fill in as required.


OBLIVIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The applicant must be willing to work on call as needed. Obliviators must be well-versed in memory charms and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms is required, along with at least 5 other NEWT level subjects. Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic are recommended. Obliviators are responsible for point-of-contact memory removal and modification in the event of statute breaches. Obliviators are often privy to sensitive information and may not discuss aspects of a case with non-involved parties or with the media without prior consent. An Obliviator may also be called on at the discretion of the A&C Department Head to perform memory charms on individual witches and wizards as necessary. An Obliviator may be required to work with other departments and is responsible for meeting all objectives set by the Head Obliviator and A&C Department Head. A promotion to Senior Obliviator may be offered after completing approximately 5+ years of being a successful Obliviator as deemed by the Head Obliviator and Accidents and Catastrophes Department Head.


JUNIOR OBLIVIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The applicant must be willing to work on call as needed. This is an entry-level role, appropriate for Hogwarts graduates. Junior Obliviators must be well-versed in memory charms and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms is required, along with at least 5 other NEWT level subjects. Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and History of Magic are recommended. Junior Obliviators will be assigned a Senior mentor and will be trained on the job so that they may undertake point-of-contact memory removal and modification in the event of statute breaches. Junior Obliviators are often privy to sensitive information and may not discuss aspects of a case with non-involved parties or with the media without prior consent. A Junior Obliviator may also be called on at the discretion of the A&C Department Head to perform memory charms on individual witches and wizards as necessary. A Junior Obliviator may be required to work with other departments and is responsible for meeting all objectives set by the Head Obliviator and A&C Department Head. A promotion to Obliviator may be offered after completing approximately 3+ years of being a successful Obliviator as deemed by the Head Obliviator and Accidents and Catastrophes Department Head.


REMINISCIATOR UNIT

HEAD REMINISCIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The Head Reminisciator is responsible for overseeing the Reminisciator team and liaising with all other divisions and departments as required. The Head Reminisciator must be able to fulfill all aspects of the Reminisciator role in addition to leading the unit and overseeing required memory manufacture as needed. The Head Reminisciator may be required to work at short notice at any hour of the day or night. The Head Reminisciator must be well-versed in memory charms and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms, Muggle Studies, and History of Magic is required, along with at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. A Reminisciator should have experience or training as an Obliviator or Memory Restoration specialist before specialising in this role, and the Head Reminisciator should have leadership experience.


REMINISCIATOR
Requirements and Role Description:
Reminisciators are responsible for Ministry-sanctioned memory manufacture. While Obliviators focus on the removal and modification of memories in the event of statute breaches and magical emergencies, Reminisciators are called in to implant specifically constructed memories, with appropriate detail and factual basis when the need arises. Often the Reminisciator is tasked with modifying the memories of highly visible Muggles, such as politicians, journalists, or celebrities, and in particular those individuals who are more likely to cause further statute breaches if ultimate care is not taken. On occasion, a Reminisciator may be employed to implant legitimate memories as reconstructed from others who were present or are knowledgeable about relevant situations. Reminisciators are often privy to sensitive information, and may not discuss aspects of a case with non-involved parties or with the media without prior consent. Reminisciators may also be called on at the discretion of the A&C Department Head to perform memory charms on individual witches and wizards as necessary. A Reminisciator may be required to work at short notice at any hour of the day or night. Reminisciators must be well-versed in memory charms and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms, Muggle Studies, and History of Magic is required, along with at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. A Reminisciator should have experience or training as an Obliviator or Memory Restoration specialist before specialising in this role.


MEMORY RESTORATION AND RETRIEVAL BUREAU

RESTORATION & RETRIEVAL BUREAU SUPERVISOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The Restoration & Retrieval Bureau Supervisor must be supremely well-versed in all aspects of Memory modification, restoration, and retrieval. This role is well suited for an individual with Obliviator or Reminisciator experience but also requires a hands-on technical understanding of pensieve repair and use, and on-the-go memory retrieval, removal, and restoration. The supervisor is charged with coordinating fieldwork among the Bureau employees and liaising with other divisions within Accidents and Catastrophes, and other departments as required. The MRRB Supervisor may also be required to liaise with St. Mungo's and must ensure all Bureau employees are well-trained in new memory adjustment techniques and available to work with St. Mungo's healers are required. The supervisor must keep track of all tasks and be sure that a backlog does not build up. A Minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms and Muggle Studies is required, as well as a pass in at least four other NEWT subjects, or equivalent experience as judged by the Department Head of A&C.


MEMORY RESTORATION SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
The Memory Restoration Specialist is charged with reversing memory modifications and clarifying fogged memories, and in the case of memories belonging to magical folk, identifying where healer involvement may be required. Most of the work will be with Muggle memories, particularly where unauthorised tampering has been discovered. The Memory Restoration Specialist may also work with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as requested, to restore memories of individuals whom MLE is questioning, or to help ascertain the viability of a suspected witness of a magical crime. The Memory Restoration Specialist is expected to regularly undertake training and assessment at St. Mungo's in all current memory restoration methodologies and will liaise with St. Mungo's healers as required, providing a Ministry presence in those situations where sensitive Memories may be encountered. 5 OWLS are required, including an O in Charms. Additionally, further experience or training in Memory Modification by a certified provider is a must for this role.


MEMORY RESTORATION ASSISTANT
Requirements and Role Description:
The Memory Restoration Assistant works closely with Specialists within this division and is expected to develop their memory charming expertise on the job, whilst keeping appropriate records and filing paperwork as requested. The Assistant will accompany Memory Restoration Specialists on the job and is expected to learn by observation. The Memory Restoration Assistant must log at least ten hours per week in training, either at St. Mungo's in current memory restoration methodology, or in the training room in the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes. While this is an entry-level position, a high standard is expected and the assistant can expect to remain in this role for a minimum of three years before advancing, at the discretion of the Department Head. 5 OWLS are required, including an O in Charms.


MEMORY RETRIEVAL OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
The Memory Retrieval Officer is a field agent for this division and is tasked with retrieving required memories from muggles and magical folk alike. Sometimes memory extraction may require the use of force, but in general Memory Retrieval Officers are expected to gain permission and cooperation where possible. When a member of the Wizarding public is unable to visit the Ministry to submit a requested memory, it is the Memory Retrieval Officer must make house calls to retrieve the required memories. They may work with DMLE agents when required. Proven excellence in memory modification and extraction charms is required. 4 OWLS are required, or equivalent training.


MUGGLE-WORTHY EXCUSE COMMITTEE

MUGGLE-WORTHY EXCUSE CHAIR
Requirements and Role Description:
The Muggle-Worthy Excuse Chair is tasked with leading all excuse-related endeavors this division undertakes, and ensuring that appropriate committee members are consulted regarding their specialty areas of excuse creation. The chair holds regular meetings, at least once per month, and must ensure that a range of generic excuses are on hand to cover minor breaches. The chair is required to liaise with the Office of Misinformation on a regular basis, and report regularly to the Department Head of Accidents and Catastrophes, as well as be available to other Department Heads as required. Working familiarity with all specialist Arbitrator and Consultant roles is necessary, and leadership experience is a must. Six NEWTs, including Muggle Studies, are necessary for this role.


EXCUSE CREDIBILITY EXEMPLAR OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
Exemplar Officers are required to convince Muggles, without exception, that the explanations provided by the rest of the division are fact. They are part of a reactionary branch; when a proposed excuse is reportedly falling flat, members of the Exemplar Team use their wide assortment of charmed objects and outfits in the presence of Muggles to bring credibility to earlier reports. One of the most prominent needs for the Exemplar Team comes from over-used excuses. Exemplar Officers may be required from time to time to draft, submit, and diversify responses to magically witnessed events in the Muggle World. Exemplar Officers must attend all Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee meetings and need to actively research possible excuses and explanations within their assigned area. This includes keeping themselves educated on advancements and changes within the Muggle world and may require training in a Muggle facility in order to specialize in their skill area. Exemplar Officers must possess a wide variety of skills and have a firm grasp on all aspects of the Muggle lifestyle. They require an O grade in NEWT level Muggle Studies, and should also have an E grade in NEWT level Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Potions, or equivalent experience as judged by the Department Head. Care of Magical Creatures is recommended. Top physical fitness is mandatory.


MUGGLE SPECIALIST CONSULTANT
Requirements and Role Description:
Muggle Specialist Consultants are required to advise the Office of Misinformation and any other ministry division as requested regarding their assigned area of expertise in relation to viable excuses for statute maintenance. Muggle Specialist Consultants must attend all Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee meetings and need to actively research possible excuses and explanations within their assigned area. This includes keeping themselves educated on advancements and changes within the Muggle world and may require training in a Muggle facility in order to specialize in their skill area. Muggle Specialist Consultants must keep up with all current events and developments within all aspects of the Muggle community. An O grade in NEWT level Muggle Studies is required for this role, as well as real-life experience living among Muggles. Work experience within a Muggle workplace is also encouraged.
ACCIDENTAL MAGIC REVERSAL SQUAD
The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad is the first response team for all spell-related and potion-related magical incidents in the magical and Muggle communities. They work closely with the Office of Misinformation as required, and particularly with the Department's Obliviators where Muggles are involved. Divided into two units: the Spell Reversal Agency (SRA) and the Potions Accident Response Team (PART). The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad is an on-call division, required to work at any time of the day or night and work closely with Magical Law Enforcement where wizarding laws have been broken. The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad employees are specialists in their respective fields, and a high standard of education and training is required from its members in addition to ongoing training and further certification within the role. Due to the sheer range of incidents to which the SRA and PART field agents must attend, quick thinking and adaptability, as well as prodigious magical ability, are a must. This division has existed in some form since the establishment of the British Ministry of Magic in the 17th Century, and as such it plays a large part in the maintenance of the Statute of Secrecy by ensuring that Magical Accidents caused by inexperienced or less-skilled Witches and Wizards are reversed before attracting Muggle notice.

A minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms and Transfiguration is required, along with at least 2 other NEWT level subjects. Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions are recommended. Training and experience as a Spell Reversal Agent or equivalent is necessary and leadership experience is recommended.


CURSE REVERSAL SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
Curse Reversal Specialists are responsible for undoing magical effects caused by dangerous curses. Where the Trace is breached, they must cede situational control to Level 2's Improper Use of Magic Office. When Muggles are involved, Specialists work with members of the Obliviator division. Often Curse Reversal Specialists may be called to work with the Auror Office. Curse Reversal Specialists must be proficient with all forms of reversal spells, and be able to recognize which accidental spells have been cast in order to undo them. While they are expected to be knowledgeable in charmwork and transfigurations, their particular focus is Curse identification and removal. Training and experience as a Spell Reversal Agent or equivalent is necessary, and a Curse Reversal Specialist is expected to fill in as a Spell Reversal Agent as needed.A minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions are required.


SPELL REVERSAL AGENT

JUNIOR REVERSAL AGENT
Requirements and Role Description:
This is an entry-level position within the Accidental Magical Reversal Squad. Junior Reversal Agents will learn on the job and are tasked with undoing magical effects caused by underage wizards, emotional outbursts, and rash decisions. Where the Trace is breached, Junior Reversal Agents must cede situational control to Level 2's Improper Use of Magic Office. When Muggles are involved, Junior Reversal Agents work with members of the Obliviator division, as directed by their superiors. Junior Reversal Agents should be proficient with reversal spells, and be able to recognize which accidental spells have been cast in order to undo them. They take care of Charms and Transfigurations, and as Junior agents do NOT deal with Dark Curse Reversal. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms and Transfiguration is required, along with at least 2 other NEWT level subjects. Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions are recommended, and it is expected that the Junior Reversal Agent log at least ten hours per week in training with a certified trainer, as directed by the Department Head or Head Reversal Agent.


POTION ACCIDENT RESPONSE TEAM

PART SUPERVISOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The PART Supervisor is expected to be an expert in Potion Identification and Recovery as well as trained in magitoxicology and ecotoxicology assessment. This role requires at least 3 years of experience as either a Potion Identification and Recovery Specialist or as a Toxicology and Contamination Surveyor or equivalent, and the Supervisor must be able to fulfill all requirements of those jobs as needed and be well-versed in the latest toxicology laboratory standards. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Potions and Herbology is required, along with at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Charms is recommended.


LAB TECHNICIAN
Requirements and Role Description:
This applicant will have experience as a member of the PART team or similar knowledge gained in the field of Magical Toxicology through field experience or Higher Wizarding Education. Required skills include Potion and magical ingredient identification and analysis and accidental spill recovery. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Management experience is useful but not required as it will be developed within the role. The laboratory technician works to ensure the laboratory is kept in working order and is tasked with overseeing all experimentation within this department. The Lab Technician will liaise with other departments and the PART Supervisor to provide necessary services. This role is primarily based in the lab but the technician may be required to work with the PART team in the field on occasion. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Potions and Herbology is required, along with at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Charms is recommended.


POTION IDENTIFICATION & RECOVERY SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
Potion Identification and Recovery Specialists are responsible for identifying spilled potions and constituent ingredients at contamination sites in order to assess what actions should be taken to reverse or reduce any long-term effects of accidental spills. Where possible the Specialist should endeavour to recover as much of the spilled potion or residue as possible for later testing, and as evidence for prosecution by the MLE where the Law has been broken. They accompany PART Officers to contamination sites and may be required to work with MLE and DERP employees as requested. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Potions and Herbology is required, along with at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Charms is recommended. Extra training in magitoxicology is beneficial.


TOXICOLOGY & CONTAMINATION SURVEYOR
Requirements and Role Description:
Toxicology and Contamination Surveyors are responsible for assessing contamination sites after the first response and recovery have been completed. The surveyor should work with the reports provided by PART Potion Identification & Recovery Specialists, and DERP employees in order to ensure there is no residual contamination and magical and mundane environments are not adversely affected in the long term by potions incidents. Surveyors are expected to reassess sites regularly, and records are to be kept for at least five years after the initial incident is handled by PART and made available to all other departments as requested. Samples from the assessment sites should be brought back to the lab for testing, though some tests may be undertaken in the field if it is safe to do so. Training in magitoxicology and ecotoxicology is essential to this role and will be provided on the job.


URGENT RESPONSE OFFICER
Requirements and Role Description:
Urgent Response Officers are responsible for the first point-of-contact response to accidental spills and are tasked with returning a contaminated area to a safe, usable environment. They are required to use the utmost caution and keep curious witches and wizards out of harm’s way until their job is complete. They should liaise with Obliviator Headquarters as required in order to avoid a statute breach. The Accident Response Team works with members of DERP when spills occur in outdoor and wilderness locations, and may be required to liaise with DMLE employees where a crime has been committed. As an on-call, urgent response officer, these employees must be prepared to respond to call-outs at all hours of the day or night in order to secure a site for further assessment. 6 OWL subjects are required including Potions, Herbology, and Charms.
INVISIBILITY TASK FORCE
The Invisibility Task Force is responsible for keeping large-scale Wizarding events, and Wizarding locations, unseen and unnoticed by Muggles. Their work is preventative in nature, and they are tasked with eliminating the likelihood of statute breaches before they can occur. Established in 1692 when the Statute of Secrecy was signed, this is one of the longest-standing divisions in the Ministry of Magic. Wizarding Event Concealment communicates directly with the Games and Sports department and Event Security liaisons in Magical Law Enforcement, as well as Event Planning personnel in the Minister's Office, and representatives from outside the Ministry where private events are planned. Unplottable Structures are responsible for keeping Wizarding buildings and historical reserves concealed, ensuring apparition and disapparition charms are in a place where secrecy, privacy, and security are emphasized. They work closely with the Ecological Protection and Regulation department in relation to creature reserves and natural magical habitats, and a master list of all privately owned unplottable locations in Wizarding Britain is maintained by the office.

UNPLOTTABLE STRUCTURES SUPERVISOR
Requirements and Role Description:
The Unplottable Structures Supervisor is the point of contact for this office and is required to facilitate all actions undertaken by Unplottable Structures employees. The supervisor should liaise with other departments regularly and be able to step in to perform any of the roles within the Unplottable Structures office. Management and organisational experience are beneficial to this role, and the Unplottable Structures Supervisor must ensure that records are maintained and archived appropriately. At least 5 NEWT subjects are required, as well as at least 5 years in a similar role or equivalent experience as judged by the Department Head.


UNPLOTTABLE STRUCTURE CONCEALMENT SPECIALIST
Requirements and Role Description:
Structure Concealment Agents are responsible for ensuring that buildings designated as unplottable remain that way, and new buildings are properly charmed and warded. They must maintain a comprehensive list of all buildings in Britain, and liaise with the Environmental Permitting division of the Department of EcologicalRegulation and Protection where necessary. They are required to ensure Wizarding Structures are concealed from Muggle notice, and appropriate illusions are used to maintain the Statute of Secrecy. Buildings need to be concealed from all angles, and must also be undetectable by Muggle technology. Structure Concealment Agents are sometimes privy to sensitive information and may not share locations of buildings with non-involved parties or with the media without prior consent. They must be well-versed in concealment charms, and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms and Ancient Runes and three other NEWT level subjects including Muggle Studies is required or equivalent experience as judged by the Department Head.


WIZARDING EVENT CONCEALMENT

EVENT CONCEALMENT AGENT
Requirements and Role Description:
Wizarding Event Concealment employees are responsible for maintaining the buffers and barriers between the Wizarding and Muggle worlds for all major and minor games and sporting events, as well as any other large scale Wizarding Events. They are in constant communication with members of the Games and Sports Department and Magical Law Enforcement, as well as Event Planning personnel in the Minister's Office. They should follow the reports given by Event Concealment Advisors regarding which charmwork is needed and on what scale. Wizarding Event Concealment employees must be well-versed in concealment charms, and a minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms is required. They must also have at least 4 other NEWT-level subjects. Muggle Studies and Ancient Runes are recommended.
EXPERIMENTAL CHARMS COMMITTEE
The Experimental Charms Committee is the premier organisation in the British Wizarding World for spell experimentation and research, charm invention and development, and spell patenting and permitting. Employees are well-versed in the mechanics of magic and the foundations of spell construction and are often called upon to assess and identify unknown charms as required by other departments. They meet regularly to assess proposed spells, and to test spells invented by the wizarding public to ascertain the purpose of a spell and judge if they can be safely used, and make recommendations regarding the legality of new magic. Where certain spell effects are requested, Development employees may work to create new spells or tweak existing spells for a given purpose.

A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, and an E grade in NEWT level Transfiguration is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. 5 years of work experience in the field is preferred.


CHARMS DEVELOPER
Requirements and Role Description:
Charms Developers are responsible for the safe and structured expansion of charms known to the Wizarding World. While all advanced planning and administration are carried out in their cubicles, employees are required to practice their charms in the room set aside for them. Upon completion, employees must demonstrate the use of their proposed charm to a panel composed of members from the Experimental Charms Task Force and the Experimental Charms Patent Agency. Employees may, from time to time, receive a description of an unknown and unpatented charm used at the scene of an accidental magic case; it is their responsibility to discover the specifics of the charm and how to consistently cast it. They should work with Spell Researchers in order to assess the spells under consideration. Development employees must have an O grade in NEWT level Charms and an E grade in NEWT level Transfiguration. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects.


SPELL PATENT AGENT
Requirements and Role Description:
Spell Patent Agents are responsible for issuing permits to witches and wizards attempting to create a new charm, reviewing proposed completed charms for suitability and safety, and keeping thorough and up-to-date records on all charms being developed and completed across the Wizarding World. It is their responsibility to veto applications for charms already in existence and ones with effects that harm clearly outweigh possible benefits. Spell Patent Agents keep in contact with the Curriculum Review Board (Department of Education) to inform them of any modifications to or creation of charms that would be informative teaching material. They also sit on a panel with members of the Task Force, and review new charms proposed by both the Development team and outside witches and wizards, weighing benefits against potential risks. Spell Patent Agents must have an O grade in NEWT-level Charms, and an E grade in NEWT-level Transfiguration. They must also have at least 4 other NEWT-level subjects. History of Magic is recommended.


SPELL RESEARCHER
Requirements and Role Description:
Spell Researchers are responsible for investigating the application of charms known to the Wizarding World, and attempting to rediscover spells lost in antiquity through historical research. While all advanced planning and administration are carried out in their cubicles, employees are required to practice their charms in the room set aside for them. Where new applications are found, or old charms are rediscovered, employees must demonstrate the spell to a panel composed of members from the Experimental Charms Task Force and the Experimental Charms Patent Agency. Employees may, from time to time, receive a description of an unknown and unpatented charm used at the scene of an accidental magic case; it is their responsibility to examine historical incidents to see if there is any evidence of the spell's origins. They should work with Charms Developers in order to assess the spells under consideration. Research employees must have an O grade in NEWT level Charms, and an E grade in NEWT level Transfiguration. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects.


DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Requirements and Role Description:
This is an entry-level position for NEWT-level graduates who have an interest in Spell development and experimentation. The Research Assistant will help Charm Developers and Spell Researchers as required and will be expected to assist with paperwork and filing as requested. They will be required to carry out surveys and research amongst the Wizarding public as needed. This job has a focus on aiding Spell Researchers with priority projects, with the eventual goal of running point on such projects in the future. The Development Research Assistant will aim to specialise either in Research or Development, and will learn on the job. DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGICAL
REGULATION & PROTECTION
Established in 2107 when the Department for the Control & Regulation of Magical Creatures and Department of Environmental Regulation & Protection merged, the Department of Ecological Regulation and Protection serves to protect and ensure that important magical ecosystems, landscapes and biodiversity found in the British Wizarding World are systematically protected. Responsible for all creature and plant life, they secure and monitor all magical sanctuaries, creature habitats, and reservations along with environmentally sensitive or dangerous areas.

In the British Ministry, the offices which come under the jurisdiction of Ecological Regulation and Protection are:

ENFORCEMENT DIVISION
This division is tasked with policing magical sanctuaries and habitats within Britain, ensuring that the parameters are secure from Muggles and that the plant and animal life are untouched by humankind. They are skilled in defensive magic and Transfiguration, capable of dealing with rogue creatures and plants. The rangers keep in touch with MLE for when Muggles or wizards are found abusing, trespassing, or illegally building upon protected areas. The division also contains a team of highly skilled climate controllers.

Environmental Rangers (3 positions)
(Recommended Age: 25+)
The Environmental Rangers are at the forefront of enforcing environmental rules and regulations, leading all necessary interventions in magical sanctuaries under DERP's jurisdiction. They collaborate with other divisions when required, liaise with other departments as needed and meet objectives set by their superiors, the Department Head and their Division Head. Even though they generally work alone or in pairs, they must always be ready and capable to step in and perform their colleagues' duties if need be.

Required Skills:
Sharp skills of observation, highly specialized knowledge of magical creatures and plants, quick reflexes, experience handling creatures and plants, experience in dealing with Muggles, and may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at Department Head's discretion. A thorough understanding of Magizoology, Herbology, Magical Ecology and Geology is necessary. At least four years experience in this field or similar is recommended. An 'O' on the following OWLs: Herbology, CoMC and DADA; a grade of 'E' or higher in Muggle Studies, Charms and Transfiguration is further required. NEWTs in Herbology, CoMC, DADA, Transfiguration, Charms and Muggle Studies are obligatory, with a grade of 'E' or higher on a minimum of six NEWTs. Higher Wizarding Education is recommended.

Executioners (2 positions)
(Recommended Age: 30+)
The Executioners do not take part in operations led by the department. Their sole job is to humanely execute all creatures deemed too dangerous to society. They collaborate with other divisions when required, liaise with other departments as needed, meet objectives set by superiors, and are active in all investigations and missions where needed.

Required Skills:
A thorough knowledge of dangerous creatures, excellent handling and execution skills, skilled nonverbal and defensive spellwork, may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at department head's discretion. Required to have at least three years experience within this field or similar, a thorough understanding of magizoology, creature handling, and proper execution methods are required. 'E' or better in seven OWLs (Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies and Herbology); score of 'E' or better in at least five NEWTs (Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology).

Dangerous Plant Removal Specialists (2 positions)
(Recommended Age: 30+)
The Dangerous Plant Removal Specialists are charged with the removal of magical plants that have become dangerous or pests. While the majority of their jobs focus on the buildings of witches and wizards, they are occasionally required to remove plants from buildings that fall into Muggle ownership. Advice on how to deal with said plants before they become uncontrollable is also given from this office to the Wizarding public. These wizards are skilled in defending themselves and others against rogue plants, and in the handling and removal of them.

Required Skills:
Patience and politeness around frustrated people, perseverance and good concentration; superb, careful handling and knowledge of the Magical and Muggle plants they specialize in. The outstanding ability to properly educate wizards and witches on proper plant care and how to deal with unwanted plants. At least four years experience in this field or similar. An 'O' on the following OWLS: Herbology, Charms and Transfiguration; an 'E' in DADA, Muggle Studies and CoMC is highly recommended. Minimum Scores of 'E' on six NEWTs, preferably in DADA, Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, CoMC and Muggle Studies.

Sentinels (3 positions)
(Recommended Age: 28+)
Sentinels are responsible for guarding all areas where humans reside from dementor attacks, investigating areas suspected of any dementor activity and working mostly in the field patrolling areas with known dementor activity. Spirit Enforcement Officers work all operations pertaining to evil spirits alongside the Sentinels. These employees collaborate with other divisions when required, liaise with other departments as needed, meet objectives set by superiors and are active in all investigations and missions.

Required Skills:
A thorough knowledge of dementors and superb handling skills, excellent nonverbal and defensive spellwork, may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at department head's discretion. Must be capable of conjuring a corporeal Patronus in turbulent and impassioned situations at a moment’s notice. Required to have at least eight years experience within this field or similar, and excellent leadership skills. A thorough understanding of magizoology and dementors, and the ability to work with others is required. An 'E' or better in seven OWLs (Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies and Herbology); score of 'E' or better in at least five NEWTs (Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology). Climate Controllers (3 positions)
(Recommended Age: 35+)
The Center for Climate Controllers contains a team of highly skilled witches and wizards capable of altering and drastically changing the state of the weather. They specialize in combining advanced charms with their atmospheric and meteorological knowledge to control atmospheric condition. This office is often used to provide temporary weather conditions, and abate current conditions for government events when called upon. They occasionally work alongside other departments, such as Accidents and Catastrophes, when extreme magical accidents threaten to reveal the magical world to British Muggles, and for other magical weather needs. It takes years of experience and training to control mother nature, and so only veteran wizards and witches are hired into this office.

Required Skills:
Superb nonverbal spellwork; extensive knowledge of Atmospheric Charms and Meteorology, as well as a penchant for creative spellwork; excellent oral and verbal communication skills, perseverance and good concentration. Required to have at least twelve years experience within relevant fields or similar, and proven leadership, organizational and managerial skills. A thorough understanding of Advanced Charms, Magical Climatology, Astronomy and other atmospheric sciences is necessary. An 'O' on the following OWLs: Astronomy, Charms and Transfiguration; an 'E' in Divination, Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes and Herbology is recommended. Minimum Scores of 'E' on six NEWTs, preferably Astronomy, Charms, Transfiguration, Divination, Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies. Some sort of Higher Wizarding Education, training and/or apprenticeship(s) in relevant fields is highly recommended.


REGULATION DIVISION
This division is mostly an office-based branch tasked with issuing permits to witches and wizards wishing to build houses, businesses, etc. in environmentally sensitive or dangerous areas. Employees in this division are often called upon to inspect potential building sites and continually make periodic inspections for environmental safety and regulation compliance. The division also includes the Pest Advisory Board, also known as Pest Advisory Bureau, which is responsible for giving advice on how to best remove pests from a Wizarding home or work place, and to provide assistance to the Pest Removal Squad with larger infestations. They, like many other offices in this department, keep in close contact with MLE in cases of emergency.

Import/Export Executives (2 positions)
(Recommended Age: 18+)
Employees responsible for providing regulatory information to the Department of International Cooperation on what can and cannot legally be imported and exported to and from the UK. Any potions ingredients, foods, etc. that relate to or may contain magical plants fall under their jurisdiction.

Required Skills:
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, as well as expert knowledge of legal terms and magical plant species. An 'O' or 'E' on the Herbology OWL; an 'A' in History of Magic, Potions and CoMC are further recommended. An 'E' or 'A' score in four NEWTs, preferably Herbology, CoMC, HoM and/or Potions.

Pest Advisors (2 positions)
(Recommended Age: 21+)
The Pest Control Advisors are the people who give advice to the public and assistance to Pest Removal Officers, collaborate with other divisions when required, liaise with other departments as needed and meet objectives set by superiors. Active in assisting other teams within the division when necessary, educate wizards and witches on proper pest removal.

Required Skills:
Patience and politeness around frustrated people, perseverance and good concentration; superb, careful handling and knowledge of a variety of magical pests and creatures. The outstanding ability to properly remove pests from unwanted areas. Six years experience in this field or similar, plus excellent leadership skills. OWL score of 'O' in CoMC, Transfiguration and DADA; 'E' in Charms, Potions, Muggle Studies and Herbology is recommended as well. Minimum scores of 'E' on seven NEWTs, preferably DADA, Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, CoMC, Muggle Studies and Potions.

Pest Removal Squad (2 positions)
(Recommended Age: 18+)
These officers work hand in hand with the pest advisory. Pest Removal Officers go out into the areas they are called to and work with the advisory board to remove unwelcome pests from inhabited areas. Large Bundimun, Chizpurfle and other infestations are dealt with by this squad.

Required Skills:
Patience and politeness around frustrated people, perseverance and good concentration; superb, careful handling and knowledge of a variety of magical pests and creatures. The outstanding ability to properly remove pests from unwanted areas. Experience in this field or similar, plus excellent leadership skills. OWL score of 'O' in CoMC, Transfiguration and DADA; 'E' in Charms, Potions, Herbology and Muggle Studies is recommended as well. Minimum scores of 'E' on seven NEWTs, preferably DADA, Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, CoMC, Muggle Studies and Potions.


MAGICAL BEASTS OFFICE
The Magical Beasts Office is charged with all responsibilities and issues that arise with creatures classified as beasts. The main objective of the division is to make sure magical beasts stay hidden from Muggles and live either in harmony with wizard-kind or in solitude from all humans.

(Recommended Age: 30+)
The Magical Beasts Division Head is tasked with overseeing the whole division, the employees within said division and communicating with the Department Head for effective and efficient work practices to be maintained.

Required Skills:
The successful applicant will have undergone Ministry approved management training and should have knowledge of all aspects of regulation and control. People skills are a must as this role will require interaction with many employees, citizens and officials across the Ministry. A working knowledge of pertinent law and of situation de-escalation is desired but not essential. Applicants must be organised, be good communicators, be flexible, exercise patience and handle pressure well. At least 4 OWLs or experience in a similar role are needed for this job.

Dragon Research and Restraint Officers may work with the dangerous creatures advisors occasionally to relay important information, or when more employees are needed to restrain dragons. Researchers are responsible for looking further into dragons, discovering more, and restraint officers are responsible for going out and working to capture or keep back dragons. Both may be called out to work with dragons and handlers.

Required Skills:
A superb understanding of handling and a working knowledge of dragons. Excellent nonverbal and defensive spellwork, may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at department head's discretion. Required to have at least six years experience within this field or similar, proven managerial, organiSational, operational, and field experience is required. A thorough understanding of dragonology, creature handling, and the ability to work well with others is required. 'E' or better in at least seven OWLs (History of Magic, Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes, and Herbology), Astronomy and Potions preferred as well but not required; Score of 'E' or better in at least six NEWTs (Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, and Herbology), Ancient Runes, Astronomy, and Potions preferred as well but not required. Further wizarding education in Dragonology or apprenticeship is required.

(Recommended Age: 25+)
These employees are protectors, meaning they are responsible for knowing all there is to know about beasts. They may work with the dangerous creatures advisors occasionally to relay important information, or when more employees are needed to restrain or protect beasts. Are often sent to work in the field (check up on sanctuaries, pick up on any leads, check different reserves) to make sure that beasts are being treated humanely and being protected.

Required Skills:
A superb understanding of handling and a working knowledge of all beasts. Excellent nonverbal and defensive spellwork, may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at department head's discretion. Required to have some experience within this field or similar, organisational, operational, and working knowledge of field experience is required. A thorough understanding of creature handling, beast behaviours and the ability to work well with others is required. They work with other departments and divisions as needed and meet set objectives.

(Recommended Age: 23+)
The House-Elf Advocate officers will work closely with both past and future owners of house elves and with the elves themselves to make sure that everyone is satisfied with their placements and that all beings are being treated with the respect they deserve. The Advocates also counsel all house elves that are being reassigned to new homes and old ones who are in the registry system alongside visiting homes to make sure they are suitable for House-Elf relocation.

Required Skills:
Patience and kindness when working with house elves, excellent communication and people skills, an eye for detail and a logistical mind; managerial, organizational, operational and counseling skills are necessary as well as some experience with house elves.


SPIRITS OFFICE
The Spirits Office is charged with all responsibilities and issues that arise from spirits revealing themselves. The main objective of the division is to make sure all spirits that can interact with the world are friendly acquaintances and ensure that those who aren't are relocated.

Spirit Support Officers counsel all spirits new and old alike that need any form of counseling. They collaborate with other divisions and departments as needed and meet objectives set by superiors.

Patience and kindness when working with spirits, excellent communication and people skills; organizational, operational and counseling skills are necessary as well as some experience with spirits. BOTANY DIVISION
The Botany Division is tasked with plant experimentation within the Ministry greenhouses. Using both magical and mundane plants, they cross-breed to create new species for new potion ingredients. The Botanists are skilled with handling a wide variety of magical plants, potions, and with experimenting in a semi-controlled environment such as the greenhouses. On occasion they collaborate with other departments as needed, and they partner with the Oceanologists when they are in office. Their job is mostly based within the greenhouses and provides for some office based work as well.

The Greenhouse Botanists work in the Ministry Greenhouses, caring for both magical and mundane plants. They are highly skilled with handling a wide variety of magical plants, with special regard for rare potions ingredients. They work closely with both the Research and Development team and the Oceanologists.

Required Skills:
A thorough knowledge of magical and muggle plants, and how to handle them; an extensive knowledge of potions. A creative mind and a methodical approach; patience, perseverance and good concentration. Relevant internships and/or work experience within this field or similar is highly recommended. (Recommended Age: 18+)
The Greenhouse Caretakers are essential to the functioning of the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection. From the care and cultivation of a number of magical and mundane species to the administration of greenhouse supplies and access, the caretakers keep the greenhouses in tip-top shape.

Required Skills:
Knowledgeable on magical and muggle plant species, practical experience handling them, analytical and critical mindset, attention to detail; proven communicative, administrative and managerial skills. A penchant for Charms, and previous work in maintenance, preferably within a Greenhouse environment, is highly recommended. An 'E' in Herbology and an 'A' or better in the following OWLs: Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Arithmancy. An 'A' or higher in at least five NEWTs, preferably in Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Arithmancy and Herbology.


OCEANOIZARDRY DIVISION
The least seen employees within the entire department, Oceanologists are magical explorers tasked with traveling the globe in search of new and rare marine plants to return to the UK for the advancement of potion studies and other experimentation. Their job is strictly field work with minimalistic desk time, and they frequently collaborate with other Oceanologist offices local to the marine areas visited. These magical explorers are skilled in nonverbal spellwork and underwater magic as the majority of their tasks are spent in aquatic areas. Defensive skills are also an obligatory requirement as an Oceanologist will never know what they are up against in the unexplored waters of the world.

They have access to the Ministry greenhouses for research and training purposes.

Proficiency in the following OWLs: Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Ancient Runes, DADA, History of Magic, Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. A Junior Oceanologist participates in all expeditions headed by the Oceanoizardry Division, collaborates with other divisions when required, and meets set objectives. They are active in research and exploration projects whilst furthering their studies in Oceanoizardry, Magical Ecology and Wizanthropology and gaining necessary skills in relation to the Oceanoizardry field. They have access to the Ministry greenhouses for research and training purposes under the supervision of senior members of the division and/or the Head Oceanologist.

Required Skills:
Working nonverbal spellwork and underwater magic; knowledge of magical plants and creatures; practical experience handling creatures and plants; may be called upon to perform an annual physical fitness exam at Department Head's discretion. A basic understanding of Oceanoizardry, Magical Ecology and Wizanthropology is preferred and will be developed on the job. DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL MAGICAL COOPERATION
The Department of International Magical Cooperation is a division of the Ministry of Magic whose focus is getting wizards from different countries to work together. It is closest to the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the Muggle World.

The duties of this department are to work with magical governments of other countries, set standards for trade, create regulations for things like cauldron thickness, interpret international magical law, work with Department of Magical Games and Sports on the Triwizard Tournament, be present at the International Confederation of Wizards, British Seats.

It is Consulate Personnel's' responsibility to help those who are traveling abroad to England from other countries. This position is responsible for detaining any person(s) (without arrest) who is not a British Wizarding citizen, to investigate whether they qualify for entry to the United Kingdom. They are also responsible for investigating potential illegal aliens. When a ministry employee transfers from another ministry you will make sure that those employees orientate well in the new country/ministry. Monitor them for culture shock and are aware of any new laws they aren't aware of. Ensure they have a place to live and are settled in, with their new position in the ministry. Understanding of Immigration Law and the ability to speak a second language is required for this position.

COMMITTEE FOR FOREIGN RELATIONS
The Committee for Foreign Relations focuses on foreign policy and international development and is generally responsible for funding and overseeing (but not administering) foreign aid programs.

Ambassador-at-Large
This position acts as the chief diplomat for Britain at Ministry Foreign Relation functions. They head the Committee for Foreign Relations and represents Britain on the International Confederation of Wizards and other international administrative bodies. The Ambassador-at-Large is entrusted to operate in several neighboring countries. Other important responsibilities include reporting to to the Department Head on foreign activities. Ambassadors may also relay pertinent information on activities to their areas' diplomatic centers around the world. In some cases the ambassador-at-large may even be specifically assigned a role to advise and assist the department head or even the ministry with particular issues. The ability to speak a several languages is required for this position.

Foreign Relations Officers
This position works side by side with the Ambassadors. Foreign Relations Officers take care of handling any and all VIP's and Foreign Delegations. They are responsible for sending invitations to other countries inviting them to visit Britain and/or attend meetings. Foreign Relations Officers are also responsible for the itineraries of any political visitors to the country; i.e. setting up site-seeing excursions, making reservations, and even keeping secret visits by Foreign dignitaries a secret and not letting a leak escape to the press.

Ambassador-in-Residence
Ambassadors-in-Residence represent the UK and attend international meetings, banquets /parties, and acts as a figurehead for their country of origin. Ambassadors are responsible for smoothing relations between countries, especially in the highly sensitive areas of politics and trade. In addition, they send information about economic and political development in their host country to their home abroad. Ambassadors also assist travelers from their home country, explain foreign policy, and evacuate refugees from hostile environments. This position requires members to live abroad for extended periods of time. The ability to speak a second language is required for this position.

The International Magical Trading Standards Body is in charge of overseeing and assessing trading practices within the wizarding world, as well as passing international legislation regarding trading standards.

Magical Product Tester
This position is responsible for guaranteeing the quality of goods foreign countries produce by inspecting for legal validity and testing goods to ensure they are safe for the wizarding world to use. Testers will check products by sight, sound, feel, smell, or even taste. Checking for cuts, scratches, strength, or other physical characteristics of objects. Testers also check that all parts fit, move correctly, and are properly charmed; the pressure of gases and the level of liquids; test the flow of electricity; and do a test run to check for proper operation of the product.

This position is responsible for collecting, safeguarding and controlling the flow of goods including animals, personal effects and hazardous items in and out of the country. The import or export of some goods is restricted, and the customs agency enforces these rules. Their duties also include collecting a tariff or tax on the importation or exportation of goods.

Magical Trade Personnel and Undercover Buyer
This position is a Magical Customs Service as well as an undercover position. Buyers keep an eye on internal trade within the country and make sure that the goods and products being flown into and out of the country are legal. Buyers are responsible for finding black markets and foreign sellers that often sell illegal foreign goods. They observe, purchase, and report back, but otherwise do not engage with these sellers and markets. This position reports back to the International Magical Cooperation Department head and works closely with the Magical Law Enforcement offices. The ability to speak a second language is helpful for this position. Magics regarding concealment, disguise, stealth and tracking are also beneficial.

This position works along side the Magical Product Testers and ensuring any goods imported and created in the country are not counterfeit. Develops a better means of public transportation for witches and wizards who either cannot or will not use apparition/floo powder to uncomfortably or inability, as well as making family travel more smooth and easy. This position will involve your skills with metal to experiment ways we can implement something similar to an undergrad train system that muggles use, only it will be for magical users. It will require much work out in the field as well as hands on magic involving metal and other building skills.


APPARITION LICENSING AND TESTING CENTER

These witches and wizards are in charge of holding Apparition lessons in the school, working to keep all apparition records current and up to date, and holding the examinations both at the school and at the office so students can come take their exams over the summer. Legal witches and wizards can also get their licenses renewed through this office.

Employees also work with shops to assure all their broom needs are met and test out new features and developments on current models.

FLOO NETWORK AUTHORITY

Floo is a very tricky business, and these employees are in charge of monitoring the floo networks to assure no illegal activity is happening at any and all moments. If the floo system breaks down, it is also up to this department to fix the channels.

PORTKEY OFFICE

Employees of the portkey office work tirelessly to assure that all issued portkeys go through the required paperwork and are prepared properly before being sent out into the field. They also research new muggle items to use as portkeys and deal with any incidents that may occur through the use of these devices, including when muggles accidentally wander upon a portkey and activate it.

These employees will go out into Muggle England and see what the Muggles are into these days. They will buy or even find items that muggles won't want to use and pass them on over to be made into portkeys! Employees must like travel, being around muggles, and be good at muggle studies.

Creates all Portkeys from the found or bought Muggle items. Tinkers and casts the Portkey spell on all items approved by Dept. Head or Portkey Master General.

Portkey Registration Keeper 1 position available
Receives the requests for Portkeys and sends out the orders to the rest of the Dept. These employees keep up-to-date records of when and where and to whom portkeys have been delivered.

Portkey Recovery Specialist 2 positions available
No littering from the Ministry! These wizards go after used portkeys. They also specialize in retrieval of unauthorized, misplaced, or unintentional portkeys. Works closely with Accidents and Catastrophees


MAGIC CARPET DIVISION

The newest division within the department, this group of people is in charge of making sure that all things pertaining to magic carpets run smoothly. Since the legislation surrounding the use, sale, and operation of magic carpets has recently been legalized and made public, this division will have to be on top of the records, licenses, and monitoring of carpet sales and usage.

The Department of Magical Games and Sports is a department of the Ministry of Magic. It is charged with the regulation of all sport-related events in the Wizarding world. It is roughly the equivalent to the real-life British Department of Culture, Media and Sport. The International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy was signed in 1692, and it made each individual Ministry of Magic responsible for the consequences of all magical sports played within their countries. The Ministry started passing legislation pertaining to Quidditch in 1750 (including the first official set of rules of the game).

The Quidditch Regulation Office is responsible for the distribution of current Quidditch Rule books, regulation of uniforms and team emblems, playing equipment regulation (including broomsticks), enforcing fines on players for flagrant fouls/equipment violations, and the certification and recertification of referees.

Quidditch Public Relations Officer (no open positions)
The Quidditch Public Relations Office is responsible for the creation and distribution of league schedules, individual game programmes, ticket prices, player trading cards, press accreditation passes, and issuing official statements regarding league news to the various media outlets. Also works with the Quidditch Mascot Department when organizing public events involving team mascots.

The Pitch Administration Office responsible for the maintenance of all pitches, including the stands, goal hoops, grass, locker rooms, press boxes, and the protective wards. Also responsible for enforcing fines for violations and closing pitches that do not meet the minimum standards. Works with U-17 Quidditch Liaison Officer as necessary to ensure pitches are available for U-17 tryouts and matches.

Quidditch Mascot Officer (1 positions)
The Quidditch Mascot Office is responsible for the rules and appearances of the various mascots in the league. Also responsible for enforcing fines on mascots that violate behavior rules. Works closely with public relations.


GOBSTONES DIVISION
The Gobstone Division Staff keep the professional Gobstone league running smoothly. These employees work closely with the professional owners, coaches, and players to make sure everyone is trained the way they should be, rules are being followed, and fines are being paid. The division also manages all advertisements through the on and offseason

The Gobstones Division Manager is responsible for managing the Gobstones Division, staff and coordinating with other Divisions and Departments within the Ministry, as well as running the Gobstones league.

U-17 Gobstones Liaison Officer (1 position)
The Under-17 Gobstones Liason Officer is responsible for coordination between the professional British and Irish Gobstones League and the U-17 Gobstones Clubs. Primary duties include coordinating each U-17 Gobstones club’s pro coach duties, organizing the annual scrimmages and training with professional Gobstones players. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating scout attendance of U-17 events and arranging venues for tryouts, practices, and games. The ideal candidate has experience in either professional Gobstones or the Gobstones Division within the Department of Magical Games and Sports.

Gobstones Public Relations Officer (3 positions)
The Gobstones Public Relations Office is responsible for the creation and distribution of club schedules, match programmes, ticket prices, press accreditation passes, and issuing official statements regarding club news to the various media outlets.

Gobstones Administration Officer (6 positions)
The Gobstones Admininstration Office is responsible for the distribution of current Gobstone rules, regulation of Gobstones, regulation of uniforms and club emblems, enforcing fines on players for equipment violations/cheating, creation of playing arena (including spectator seating), and the certification and recertification of referees.


RECREATIONAL SPORTS DIVISION
The Recreational Division works closely with the youth. They make sure all practice facilities are playable for each game or sport as well as help coordinate and help coaches with signups and practice/game schedules. The division also takes care of the winged horse facility and works with contracts for their riders.

Recreational Sports Division Manager (no open positions)
The Recreational Sports Division Manager is responsible for the execution of recreational sports leagues, camps, and special events. They coordinate with the Professional leagues for the recruitment of volunteer coaches and camp teachers. They are responsible for coordinating work with other departments for international tournaments in Wizard’s Chess or Youth Sports and for event security. They coordinate with the Hogwarts Liaisons and other education personnel to recruit youth for the Under-17 Quidditch league, as well as other recreational leagues and camps.

Recreational Sports Public Relations Officer (1 positions)
The Recreational Sports Public Relations Office is responsible for the creation and distribution of club schedules, match programmes, and signup notices for recreational and youth leagues. Responsible for the creation and distribution of any schedules and public notices for the winged horse races. They work with the U-17 Quidditch and U-17 Gobstones Liaison Officers to arrange tryouts and press for the two leagues.

Recreational Sports Administration Officer (2 positions)
The Recreational Sports Administration Office is responsible for the distribution of current rules, regulation of leagues, regulation of uniforms and club emblems, coordinating schedules and teams, creation of playing areas (including spectator seating), and the certification and recertification of referees. Their biggest role is regulating Winged Horse related events and facilities, as well as miscellaneous recreational sports events.

Recreational Broom Sports Officer (2 Positions)
The Recreational Broom Sports Office is responsible for all youth and recreational broom sports leagues and camps--Quidditch, Quodpot, broom racing. Responsibilities include enforcing rules and regulations, coordinating schedules and teams, and training and recruitment of coaches and referees. Coordinates facilities for leagues and camps. Works with U-17 Quidditch Liaison as necessary.

Recreational Games Officer (2 positions)
The Recreational Games Office is responsible for all youth and recreational games, including Gobstones and Wizard's Chess. Responsibilities include enforcing rules and regulations, coordinating schedules and teams, and training and recruitment of coaches and referees. Coordinates facilities for clubs, competitions, and camps. Works with U-17 Gobstones Liaison as necessary. The Recreational Games Office is also responsible for coordinating wizard teams for any Muggle sports leagues.

Activities Administrator (1 position)
The Activities Administrator is responsible for running non-magical recreational sports offerings, coordinating and/or leading employee fitness classes in the Level 7 Multi-Purpose Room, and providing support to members of the magical community wishing to participate in Muggle sport leagues or classes. This position requires yoga, Pilates, or other fitness instructor certification to be completed within the first year of employment. Muggle Studies NEWT recommended.

DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES
Welcome to the Department of Mysteries. The department is currently separated into a number of separate rooms that study the various topics. When applying to the department you're experience and qualifications will be analyzed to ensure you are put into the correct room. The Department of Mysteries is a section of the Ministry of Magic that carries out confidential research. Most of its operations are carried out in total secrecy. Few wizards within the Ministry actually know what is located within this department, though it is learned that the various mysteries of the world are studied here including: love, space, thought, time, death, and others. Those wizards who work in the Department of Mysteries are known as Unspeakables because of the confidential nature of their work.

In the British Ministry of Magic, the areas that fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Mysteries are:
  • the Chamber of Codes
  • the Death Chamber
  • the Hall of Prophecy
  • the Love Chamber
  • the Space Chamber
  • the Thought Chamber
  • the Time Chamber

Each of these areas offers many opportunities for advancement, though specialist knowledge and training is required in some roles. The wizarding world is rich with the potential of new discoveries and innovations, and the Department of Mysteries is a prime place to unravel them all. So, read on to discover what might be the right job and field of interest for you!

ADMINISTRATION
The Administration staff of the Department of Mysteries includes the Department Head, Chroniclers, liaisons, and any division heads assigned to this level.

Chronicler
A Department of Mysteries Chronicler is tasked with the storage and maintenance of the archives for the department. They responsible for assembling, cataloguing, preserving and managing valuable collections of historical information, items, and artifacts of varying magical natures. These Unspeakables will receive and handle all packages, items, and documents that enter the department first and often times under the supervision of the Department Head. Moreover, they must ensure records are available to all Unspeakables who need to examine the materials for reference. While part of the administrative team for the Department of Mysteries, Chroniclers work stations are located in Chamber of Codes. Because Chroniclers provide a narrative behind the artifacts, they must to have strong research proficiency and effective written and oral communication skills. Chroniclers must be adept in spellwork. An O grade in NEWT level Charms and History of Magic, and an E grade in NEWT level Defense Against the Dark Arts. They must also have at least 4 other NEWT level subjects. Ancient Runes is recommended.


CHAMBER OF CODES
Unspeakables assigned here manage all manner of devices and contraptions used for decoding recent or ancient items writing in difficult to decipher codes or languages. They study ancient and dead languages to determine facts about our origins and the origins of magic and incantation.

Cryptographers
Cryptographers are tasked with the study of ancient and dead languages to determine facts about our origins as well as the translation of artifacts and other ancient materials. Knowledge in different scripts (logographic, syllabaries, pictographic, and so forth) is expected. Cryptographers cross-compare ancient materials to learn new languages and analyze encrypted texts and attempt to determine the meaning from them. These Unspeakables are responsible for the expansion of communications systems (including spoken and written language) in Wizarding World, including the search for previously unknown language. They may also be called upon to encrypt spellwork and artifacts at the discretion of the Department Head or other superior power. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, as well an E grade in NEWT level History of Magic is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Defense Against the Dark Arts is recommended. Experience in cursebreaking and fluency in at least three languages is beneficial.

Minor Cryptographers
Minor Crypotographers assist Cryptographers with the study of ancient and dead languages, translation of artifacts, and working with encrypted texts and is an entry level position. Cryptographers may also be asked to assist Chroniclers with the assembling, cataloguing, preserving and managing valuable collections of historical information, items, and artifacts of varying magical natures, as well as general upkeep and cleanliness of the Chamber. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Ancient Runes, as well an E grade in NEWT level Arithmancy and History of Magic is required. They must also have at least 2 other NEWT level subjects. Fluency in more than one language is beneficial.


DEATH CHAMBER
Unspeakables that work within this chamber undertake the study of death and explore the unchanneled magic that relies on it as an organising principle.

Alchemists
Alchemists are tasked with the research, study, and creation of live giving materials. They may be asked to leave the Ministry to investigate claims of eternal youth and/or life. These Unspeakables study the plane between life and death and work closely with the Veil. Positing theorems on possible means of life extension via elixirs or otherwise is also commonplace. Alchemists may work closely with magical creatures associated with death, including but not exclusive to phoenixes, threstrals, dementors, and inferi. Horcruxes and the soul are also carefully examined as well as research into a method of reuniting a fractured soul. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Potions, as well an E grade in NEWT level Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures are recommended. A degree in Alchemy is required. A background in Dark Arts and Chemistry is encouraged.

Mortemists
Mortemists are tasks specifically with studying death and the after life. These Unspeakables work closely with the Veil and may be asked to leave the Ministry to investigate near death experiences. Mortemists may work closely with magical creatures associated with death, including but not exclusive to, dementors, threstrals, and inferi. Interviewing and working alongside ghosts and poltergeists is common. Intensive research on the Killing Curse and other nonblockable spells, the nature of and relation of magic to the human body, are also performed in this position. They must be adept in spellwork. Horcruxes and the soul are also carefully examined as well as research into a method of reuniting a fractured soul. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Defense Against the Dark Arts, as well an E grade in NEWT level Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Potions is recommended.


HALL OF PROPHECY
Unspeakables assigned here are tasked with the storage, safeguarding, and collecting of prophecies and their interpretations. They also check and test the validity of potential and established Seers and maintain communications with all Seers.

Prophecy Maven
Prophecy Mavens are tasks with the safeguarding and interpretation of all prophecies housed in the Hall of Prophecy. These Unspeakables create orbs to input prophecies into and set the spellwork that secures these orbs. They must be well-organized and methodical in their work, maintaining that all labels are clear and accurate. Prophecy Mavens keep careful records on all interpreted prophecies and may either dispose or archive fulfilled and unfulfilled prophecies hinging on their validity while compiling and collecting similar or related prophecies into one place. Prophecy Mavens also serve as mentors to potential and established Seers and may be called upon to examine and administer Seer Trials to those who may posses the Inner Eye. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Divination and History of Magic, as well an E grade in NEWT level Charms is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Arithmancy and Ancient Runes are recommended. Experience Metallurgy/Metal Charming is beneficial.

Orb Conductor
Orb Conductors assist Prophecy Mavens with the repair and safeguarding of orbs and is an entry level position. They may be asked by supervising Prophecy Mavens with the interpretations of prophecies and input of them into orbs. These Unspeakables maintain and organize all cataloging of prophecies and the overall upkeep of the Hall. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms and Divination, as well an A grade in NEWT level History of Magic is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Arithmancy and Ancient Runes are recommended. Experience Metallurgy/Metal Charming is beneficial.


LOVE CHAMBER
Also known as the Ever-Locked Room, Unspeakables that work within this chamber undertake the study of human emotion (particularly love) and its associations with magic.

Potioneers 1
Potioneers are tasked with studying the effects of love (human emotions on a broader scale) in relation to potions brewing. The seven types of love (Eros, Ludus, Pragma, Agape, Philia, Storge, and Philautia) are carefully examined in association with love potions and their ability to manipulate and emulate the emotion. These Unspeakables are responsible for the safe and structured expansion of emotional emulation and manipulation brews known to the Wizarding World. Dark potions such as the taboo Rebirth Potion as also examined and may be called upon to work alongside the Death Chamber's Alchemists. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Potions and Herbology is required, as well an E grade in NEWT level Charms is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. A degree in Alchemy and training in magitoxicology is beneficial.

Charmists
Charmists are tasked with studying the effects of love (human emotions on a broader scale) on magical law. The seven types of love (Eros, Ludus, Pragma, Agape, Philia, Storge, and Philautia) are carefully examined in association with their influence on casting as well as magic's ability to manipulate and emulate it. Experimentation to deepen the Wizarding World's understanding of the line separating charms and Dark charms is observed, as well as research into love as protective magic. Charmists are responsible for the safe and structured expansion of Entrancing Enchantments known to the Wizarding World and may be required to work alongside Charms Developers in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and present in front of the Experimental Charms Committee pending approval from the Department Head. Unforgiveable Curses and the Patronus Charm are also carefully examined. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an E grade in NEWT level Ancient Runes is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Transfiguration is recommended. A degree in Experimental Magic & Research is a must.


SPACE CHAMBER
Unspeakables that work within this chamber undertake the study of the evolution of magic in the universe.

Evolutionists
Evolutionists are responsible for investigating the origins, application, and evolution of magic to the universe. While all advanced planning and administration is carried out at their individual work stations, employees are required to experiment and observe celestial movements of the cosmos and their influence on all magical living life and laws of magic in the Space Chamber. These Unspeakables also study the magical effects on the physical laws of the universe and examine space-time singularities. Evolutionists must be proficient with all forms of magical theory and experimental magic. An understanding of Cosmology, Physics and Astrophysics is preferred. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms and Astronomy, and an E grade in NEWT level Herbology is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. History of Magic is preferred.

Astronomers
Astronomers are an entry level position. They serve as assistants to the Evolutionists in the study of celestial bodies and their motions. These Unspeakables' primary task is to monitor celestial movements and report any abnormal anomalies to the supervising Evolutionist. Astronomers must be methodical in their work and keep careful record of daily celestial movements as well as lunar cycles, filing daily (sometimes hourly reports during such events as an eclipse or whenever deemed necessary by supervising Evolutionists and/or the Department Head). Knowledge in Magical Theory is a must. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Astronomy, as well an E grade in NEWT level Charms is required. They must also have at least 2 other NEWT level subjects.


THOUGHT CHAMBER
Unspeakables that work within this chamber undertake the study of thought.

Nousists
Nousists are tasked with the research and development of the concept of thought and all its related subjects and principles. These Unspeakables must be well versed in both Occulemcy and Legilimency (preferably in both practice and theory) and use these unique skill sets to assist in their research involving the Imperius Curse and other forms of mind controlling magic. Experimentation is performed by these Unspeakables to better understand the connection between magical blood, brain function, and magical manifestation. Nousists may also be asked to visit scenes of unintentional magic and early childhood magic, including first manifestations, to gather data and collect testimonies to further the understanding of the conscious and subconscious pathways of magic. Case studies of the phenomenon known as 'sleep casting' are also studied while. These Unspeakables should be well versed in Oneiromancy as well. Nourists work closely with the Encephalons housed here and are expected to help with their upkeep. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an E grade in NEWT level Defense Against the Dark Arts and Divination is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Potions and Divination are recommended. A background in Behavioral Sciences (Anthropology and Archaelogy) is also encouraged.

Minor Nousists
Minor Nousists serve as assistants to Nausists and is an entry level position. They are tasked with the research and development of the concept of thought and all its related subjects and principles. Theoretical knowledge of Occlumency and Legilimency is required and training in practical application is administered by supervising Nousists when time permits. These Unspeakables are the primary brewers of the potion in which the Encephalons are kept and are expected to maintain cleanliness of the tank as well as the upkeep of the entire room. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an E grade in NEWT level Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts is required. They must also have at least 2 other NEWT level subjects. Divination is recommended. A background in Behavioral Sciences (Anthropology and Archaelogy) is also encouraged.


TIME CHAMBER
Unspeakables that work within this chamber undertake the study of time.

Chronologist
Chronologists are tasked with the research and development of the magical means of time travel and calculate its effects. They restore time variables impacted from unauthorized or skewed time tampering when rifts in the timespace continuum are detected as well as research the probabilities of other realities and universes. Chronologists much be proficient in spellwork. These Unspeakables are responsible for the safe and structured expansion of time manipulation related magic and items known to the Wizarding World. They may be asked to work alongside members of the Department of Transportation in assisting with maintaining and improving apparition, portkey, and floo procedures and related magic. Chronologists maintain and repair all timeturners and create the sand contained within. They must be familiar with the Arrow of Time, the Novikov Principle, and Professor Croaker's Law. Study of the life cycles of all living things, including the paradoxes presented by Dark creatures, and must be able to handle various creatures and plants. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an E grade in NEWT level Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Transfiguration is recommended. A degree in Experimental Magic & Research is a encouraged. Experience with Metallurgy/Metal Charming is beneficial.

Minor Chronologist
Minor Chronologists serve as assistants to Chronologists and is an entry level position. They are tasked with the research and development of the magical means of time travel and calculate its effects.They may be asked to work alongside members of the Department of Transportation in assisting with maintaining and improving apparition, portkey, and floo procedures and related magic. Minor Chronologists maintain and repair all clocks inside the Time Chamber, assist with the creation of timeturner sand, and overall upkeep of the entire room. A minimum E grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an A grade in NEWT level Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Transfiguration is recommended. Experience Metallurgy/Metal Charming is beneficial.
