GULPING GARGOYLES!

A bit confused on the plot? Seen some mysterious happenings going on and curious as to what it's all about? What in the world is going on in the Ministry of Magic RPG? Here's where you can catch up on all the happenings around the Ministry of Magic. If you have something to add that relates to employees in general, mysterious happenings around the Ministry, and isn't a personal roleplay, please feel free to post about it in here. Double posting is okay in this space. There definitely is a place to post all about your personal roleplays, though! Those type discussions can go here, in the Wizarding World Chat.

Remember that this thread is OOC knowledge only unless your character heard this information from others or witnessed the actual event, your character doesn't know about it.

What do I do if there's no activity or plotting in my department?
It's possible that there may not be a plot or organized roleplay happening in your department each and every day. What we're hoping is that you'll take the opportunity to create your own roleplays (within reason), whether they be work-related or something personal to your character. Nothing happening on your level? Then roleplay something happening! No drama or nothing to take part in? Create something! There's many different threads in your department and around the Ministry that you're free to explore and create roleplays in! You are also encouraged to contact your department head with ideas and concepts!

His fellow Alliance members were fleeing, or would be fleeing if they knew what was best for them. No, their hold here had been stretched too thin. And now it was literally going to go up in smoke. He was twirling his wand between his long fingers as he stepped into the room.

He pointed his wand at the jukebox in the corner. "Bombarda."

As the Department Head watched, flames quickly made their way towards the microwave. Better hurry to leave. That looks like a bomb waiting to explode.

There's still some, er, "rogue employees", a desk dragon, and a duck taking on Sian up in Accidents & Catastrophes! I wonder if they could use some help?

... Only to get a taste of her own medicine. From a dragon.

"BAAAAAAAIIIIN," Sian shrieked - really, it was reflex by this point - diving away from the dragon between several over desks. She pushed to her feet and half-ran, half-speedy-power-walked to the exit, and ideally to safety. Directing her wand back over her shoulder, she let off a barrage of spells to take care of the dragon, and maybe the ROGUE EMPLOYEES. "Bombarda! Obscuro! Flipendo! Duckifors! Redactum Skullus!" Just missing the kitchen sink.

The Dragon Desk Dragon Thing was barreling toward them and Aegis went up quickly to cast Reparifarge on it when a flash of yellow light hit him square in chest. He was not cut out for this!

The Former Quodpotter suddenly found himself getting morphed into a cute little mallard.

"Quack! Wak waak Wak Quack!!" He cursed in duck. Waddling around angrilly at the feet of the lady he shared cover with.

"Change me back! I'm so done with this! I'm gonna freak out!!"
"Waak Waak Quack! Wak! Quack!"

Our Muggle Technology Center is closed until further notice and is, in fact, actually, ah, ahem, excuse me, I got a chocolate frog in my throat there. The Muggle Technology Center is currently being renovated as part of our new and improved Ministry Renovation and Remodel Plan we have going on. That's right. In addition to giving this beautiful historic building a much-needed facelift, we are also in the process of removing all references to the Neo-Alliance as we renovate our facilities and round up the remaining members of the Neo-Alliance cause. I don't know how to transition to a new topic yet but er, I'm just going to say that here are some of the personnel changes we have in store.

Raini Youngbird has just been hired for the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes to replace Sian Llewellyn, who has been taken into custody. Up on Level Six, Anna Marie Howard will be leading our very important Department of Transportation since Neo-Alliance member Simone Krafft perished somehow in the battle at Hogwarts as well.

Finally, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement will be led by a former classmate and friend of mine, auror Jake Upstead. Jake has asked me to announce that investigations into the activities of the Neo-Aligned citizens are currently ongoing, and the DMLE is seeking any information on the whereabouts of Bain Goldwasser first. If you or a loved one would like to assist with our vam-- man, er, manhunt, please send a post to Level Two as soon as you, your beast, or your beings, can.

Now I would like to take a somber moment to thank everyone who fought on the side of the Order of the Phoenix. I uh, I have to admit that my own family was threatened throughout this fight for the light. This struggle to save humanity is not one we will soon forget. I will personally be writing to everyone who made the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of those in the wizarding AND Muggle world, and especially for those of us who exist in both spaces at once. We will come together as a community to heal from the wounds we all sustained, and please know that your Ministry team will be in touch as the healing process continues.

If anyone needs me, I'm just an owl away here at the Ministry.

Woof! Woof! It looks like some bloodhounds have escaped in the creature holding room....

...not to mention the door that had been left slightly ajar. The perfect opportunity for the curious or rambunctious bloodhound to embark on an adventure elsewhere in the Ministry...

International Magical Cooperation (IMC) has been alerted that rogue dragons have been sighted in various countries. The purpose of this mission is to return the escaped dragons to the Welsh Dragon Reserve.

Who? Department of Magical Creatures (MC), International Magical Cooperation (IMC), and Dragonologists* willing to help
When & Where? September 12, 2104 / Lofoten, Norway

This is the last stop on a month-long tour of capturing the dragons released by the Alliance members from the Reserve Field Trip.
It would be IC knowledge for those participating that the following dragons have already been captured and returned to the reserve in Wales:

3 Chinese Fireballs, recaptured in China
1 Hungarian Horntails, recaptured in Hungary
2 Ukrainian Ironbelly, recaptured in the Ukraine
2 Romanian Longhorn, recaptured in Romania
1 Swedish Short-Snout, recaptured in Sweden

Before the Ministry closed...Penelope Grimm revealed she had been attacked...by a bear?

And so she took a sip, and the cool liquid sent a bit of a refreshing jolt to her system, soothing her dry throat, and she wondered... When was the last time she had eaten?

"I was..." Her voice was at least a little clearer now, but her memories, the most recent ones, were...well, they were mostly clear too but confusing at the same time, and so she trailed off, trying to sort through them. Something felt wrong, but she couldn't pinpoint anything to explain that feeling. They felt just as real as any other memory she could recall. She remembered its swift movements, the roars right in her face...

And then a Healer had arrived, thank Merlin. At least she could...explain what she remembered to both of them at the same time. And maybe voicing it, instead of continuously sorting through it in her mind, would make it all make more sense. "I was attacked...by a bear."

The Ministry of Magic forums have also undergone a slight remodel (which you will experience once the forums reopen between June 16 and June 17)! Now when you click on the Ministry of Magic forums, instead of being transported to the 'outside of the Ministry' threads like before...you will land in the Atrium level of the Ministry. Just like all visitors and employees do when arriving to the Ministry of Magic There are other changes (and surprises) to be found, so be sure to check those out.

By the time Hollingberry stopped talking the entire pool was a deep crimson color and the Deathly Hallows shapes jetting from the tips of both wands certainly did not look like they had any intention of going away.

And the fountain isn't the only remnant of the Alliance's touch on the ministry...looks like we have some propaganda proving difficult to be rid of *EEEK* @ the Golden Gates

And then it sprung onto Airey and Conley next to him, wrapping them up together in the tapestry.

Even when years passed and it all became less raw for their society, Jake imagined they'd still be chasing down the final stragglers, the crafty ones who had so far slipped through their fingers.

Not stopping there, however, the hovering tree continues to grow, spreading further afield, its roots creeping not so subtly into each crack and orifice of the surrounding walls and rooms, even causing some walls to break and crumble…

If only someone in the room had a background in Iconography?
