Extra-Curriculars
Beyond the core and elective classes, students have the option and are encouraged to participate in a variety of extra-curricular classes, games and sports, and organisations whilst a student at Hogwarts. There will be times a staff member will hold an extra-curricular meeting (which will be announced in the school); however, you are welcome to start your own happenings in correlation to the extra-curriculars at any point in the term (e.g., complain about the amount of homework for one of the classes; loudly practice an instrument in the music room; put your chess strategies to the test in a game with a friend).

Text Cut: Extra-Curricular FAQ
  • Are there OWL/NEWT equivalents for the extra-curricular classes?
The extra-curricular classes would still have school exams and other ways of measuring student mastery, but there wouldn't be OWL/NEWT equivalents. Just the Hogwarts core (Charms, DADA, etc.) and elective (Ancient Runes, Divination, etc.) classes would have OWL/NEWTs. The classes on this spreadsheet are there to further your character's knowledge, appeal to their interests, give some pre-university/field background, etc.
