Role: Gringotts Head Goblin
Background: Tearlung has worked as the Head Goblin at Gringotts since January 2090 and claims to have over forty years of goblin banking experience in the private sector. It seems he transferred from one of the European branches but not much else is known about him by British wizardkind. He does, however, seem very effective at his job, even if he is rather grumpy and prone to mistrusting "wand-bearers." Because of this, Tearlung will say as little as possible to any witch or wizard he comes across if he can get away with it.

Background: Sturnik is a rambunctious goblin who has always held the high ambition of being the first goblin in the Wizengamot. He left his homeland of New Zealand at the age of thirteen and found a place in Diagon Alley. His emotions get the better of him at times and he lashes out. He has held the Head of Security position at Gringotts for the past two decades. Sturnik often accompanies the more suspicious Gringotts patrons to their vaults, and he's good to have around when things get a little dangerous.

Background: Sagni keeps the vault records up to date and is often on hand to escort people down to the depths to make their deposits and withdrawals. She rarely converses with wizardkind except on official business, which is probably for the better. She has always wanted her own wand and holds some resentment for the accident of her birth that prevents her from obtaining one. However, she is very skilled with goblin magics and comes from a long line of goblin master crafters.

Background: It takes hundreds of goblins to run Gringotts Bank successfully. No matter where you go within the confines of the bank, there is always a goblin around the corner. Who you run into at the bank will depend on where you are heading. Most wizardkind, though, only interact with a small amount of goblin employees -- ranging from the tellers who provide banking assistant to the cart drivers who escort people to their vaults to sometimes goblin security (who you do not want to mess with).

Name: Bunny the Dragon

Background: Bunny is a rare hybrid dragon, a cross between a Chinese Fireball and a Hebridean Black, that resides in the depths of Gringotts Bank, safe-guarding the most prestigious of vaults. She is about 28 feet long from tip to tail and closely resembles a Liondragon save for its scales are coloured black and purple eyes. She has a strict diet, though has a taste for (and has tasted in the past) both human and goblin flesh. The thing she fears most is the sound of clankers and the threat of an inevitable punishment.

Background: Demian was born into pure and noble heritage and was once the most handsome creature alive. After a number of courtings, which all resulting in the mysterious death of the lady in waiting, he eventually made plans to marry Tabitha. Following an episode of him getting a wrinkle by his lip and lashing out that he would never marry a half-blood, he was murdered by Tabitha on their wedding day and he came back as a ghost, forever beautiful and forever bound to the area in which he died.

Role: Arkie Alderton's Kwik-Repair Shop
Background: Korpsit comes from humble beginnings in Sweden, where he was to follow the family tradition of mining gold. Following the unexpected death of his parents in a collapsed mine accident and moving in with miner relatives, he left, looking to find his own destiny at fifteen. He wasn't hired anywhere he went, acted out, and went to prison where he joined a number of rebel goblins. Their efforts, which never were progressing, were wasteful to him, so he found "friends" in Knockturn Alley and landed his first job.

Background: Madam Hildegard was born with yellow eyes and green skin thanks to her less than skillful potioneer parents. She was then given away by her parents, who were embraced by her appearance, and lived in the streets. Years went by and she went her own way, finding an old cart and filling it with the things she had learned. From town to town she went, only to be stoned. Snapping one day, she attacked a teenager that stoned her and found refuge in the only place where stones aren't thrown at her.

ABOUT

Zeke was born into a family of muggles, the second oldest of five siblings, and was the only one of his siblings to display signs of magic and to be given a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, far from expressing amazement and pride at having a wizard in the family, Zeke's parents made it clear they did not approve of his magical ability, and Zeke made the difficult decision to leave the family home and cut ties in favour of studying magic. He lived instead with an aunt, who cared deeply for him as a mother would have.

At Hogwarts, Zeke easily made plenty of friends and did well in school, but although he had an intense love of learning and was in awe of Hogwarts, he disliked formal education. He pursued many of his topics of interest outside of the classroom, while being sure to keep his grades up. One of these interests was wandlore, and Zeke knew as early as his first year at Hogwarts that this was what he wanted to pursue when he left school.

Zeke's aunt had been a short-term foster carer since before he'd gone to live with her, and as she dealt with many sensitive cases, it was often necessary for Zeke to spend several weeks each summer holiday staying with different friends of his, which he did quite happily. He spent a lot of time with his friend Eden and his family, and was soon considered another member of the family there, warmly welcomed into the fold. For a short time he dated Eden's older sister, Willow, though the relationship was generally lukewarm and never became serious. Having grown so close to Eden's family, Zeke officially moved in with them after he graduated from Hogwarts, though he still regularly visited his aunt.

Although Zeke had secured a place on a Wandlore course at Wizarding University, and it was still his dream to be a wandmaker or a wandlore researcher, he lacked enthusiasm about higher education. Zeke started having serious doubts, and was lost on how to deal with them. He expressed this uncertainty to Camden Mitchell, Eden's father, who promptly advised him to chase his dream from a slightly different angle. Camden was a wealthy and well-known businessman, who had a number of connections across the global wizarding community, and so it was simple for him to set Zeke up in a paid apprenticeship with a specialist wandmaker. Zeke was endlessly grateful, gave up his place on the university course shortly before term started, and dove right into the practical side of wandmaking. In his spare time, he read and studied on his own, researching wandlore and as many secondary and tertiary subjects he could cram into his brain. He and his mentor produced wands for customers, researched, travelled around the world, and experimented with new combinations and cores.

During this time, Zeke moved out of the Mitchells' home and into a new place with his friend, Mathias Kruus, shortly after Mathias graduated from Hogwarts. Mathias was Eden's cousin, and he and Zeke had become good friends, having known each other since school. Zeke and Mathias had decided it would be fun for them to have their own place together. Neither expected to fall in love with the other, but that was exactly what happened. Within eighteen months, they were married. After a few years, they decided to adopt a child, and after a long wait, Zeke and Mathias adopted two year old twin girls, Bailey and Sage, in September 2099.

By 2102, Zeke had worked his way up through the wandmaking profession and was working as a partner to the woman who had previously been his mentor. As fulfilling as his work was, Zeke wanted a change, something that was a little closer to home, required less travelling, had a steadier income, and allowed him more time to work on the books he had been wanting to write for several years. Just when he was considering a slight career track correction and working towards being a professor of Wandlore, the opportunity to take over management of Ollivanders opened up. Zeke knew that, while it was just about possible for him to buy the business on his own, it was too much of a risk for him to take when he was helping support his family. But, once again, pseudo-father and part-time deus ex machina, Camden Mitchell, came swooping in to save the day. He joined with Zeke and they bought Ollivanders together in 2103, with Camden acting as a silent partner. Zeke and his family moved to the apartment above the wand shop, and began the newest chapter in their lives.

| About Randall |

Randy was the firstborn of Donna and Hector Stavros in the small town of Leeds, England. They were ecstatic to finally have a child, and were even more so delighted when, two years later, they had their daughter, Saison. Randy and Saison have been close their entire lives; their personalities mesh really well together, and so fights and disagreements are few and far between. As a child, he was easy going and fun-loving. He always had a sense of humor; pranks, jokes, muggle television were some of his passions. He joined theater as soon as he was old enough to memorize lines and remained interested in it throughout his Hogwarts and Uni years. His sister, a very gentle and easy-going soul, supports whatever her older brother wants to do and still to this day, does.

Signs of magic in Randy began when he was a toddler, but his first ACTIVE use of magic on purpose when he was six. He kind of, er, you know……..made a toilet SQUIRT upward as his father was just trying to relieve himself. It was a right laugh for the family even if it left the bathroom a mess. Stuff like that would follow Randy throughout his life even as he grew older and only SLIGHTLY more serious. He turned eleven and looked forward to Hogwarts, and when he eventually did arrive at school the hat pronounced him a Gryffindor after a mere three seconds on his head.

Once at school, Randy fit right into his house. While he did not perform extremely well in class, he thought of himself as one of the cleverest people he knew. He certainly didn’t fail or anything; but he was perfectly average. His charm and charisma was enough to make sure he had a lot of friends in school, and had this been a school with a class president position, Randy would have certainly won that. He was voted “Most Likely to Go to Azkaban” one of his years at Hogwarts mostly because of his willingness to break rules if it meant people were entertained and no one got seriously hurt. He graduated with as many OWLs and NEWTs as was necessary for business school.

And off he went.

University was a breeze mostly due to Randy wanting it to be OVER as quickly as possible and the classes being things that interested him; his father, having been a healer at a small private practice that caters towards regular checkups for children of magical youth, had always wanted his son to do something important with his life but also wanted his son to do anything that he enjoyed. When he was done with University, he moved back home with his parents to help with his father’s decreasing health; three years after he graduated, his father passed away, and while Randy was devastated, he was able to move on to trying to start his own business.

The problem was……….Randy hadn’t really given much thought to WHAT he wanted to own or anything, and the first couple of years after his father’s death were difficult. After startup after startup, each one failing, he decided to go into the restauranting business. He bought a curry and chips fusion restaurant in a muggle part of Leeds which failed EXTENSIVELY. In fact, he lost a LOT of his savings because of its failure, and it was back to square one with Randy. Not everything in his life was terrible, though - his sister became a healer, following in their dad’s footsteps, and he met the first love of his life - Ivena. As he began to progress with her, he also took over a new restaurant, this time a sandwich shop. That lasted for five years, until he turned 32. He and Ivena broke up due to his extreme obsession with running that restaurant, and soon after he sold the restaurant to take a much needed breather and rethink things in his life yet again.

It was then that he met the second love of his life. They got married after only three months and decided to buy a local toy store in Leeds - Randy’s first successful venture! The next decade unfolded like the stuff dreams are made of. He kept the toy store alive and actually excelled further while his love life also remained swell. He and his second wife enjoyed traveling on off seasons (when he could dare to leave the shop to management) and spent much time figuring themselves out, falling more in love, etc. When he turned 37, they decided to start having children. While they knew they would be older parents, they didn’t really care. They waited until they were ready, and now they were.

They have their girls close in succession, and about two years after little Mikayla was born, Randy and his wife began to discuss separating. It wasn’t like they were fighting or anything, but they just...weren’t feeling the magic. Rather than trying to force a spark that they both believed no longer existed, they peacefully divorced and remain close neighbors in order to take care of the girls.

Randy’s newest endeavor keeps him busy anyway. The PROUD new owner of WEASLEY WIZARD’S WHEEZES is ecstatic to have procured the joke shop and has SO many wonderful ideas to implement them. He still owns the toy store in Leeds, but he looks forward to spending his days in Diagon Alley. To new adventures!

History:

Pippa was born to a Bartholomew Weatherbee, a ship's captain, explorer, and adventurer who travelled all over the world seeking out new plants, animals, lands, and people. He took copious notes on his adventures and always meant to publish them but he died before he could finish. Pippa means to complete her father's work someday, but his notes are really in such a state of disarray that it is really rather daunting (and there are so many other things to do!) Pippa's mother was also a ship's captain and trader (and--let's not mince words, rumored to be a pirate) named Anna Jeanne Clisson. She claimed to be descended from the famous Breton pirate Jeanne de Clisson, but that sort of thing is hard to prove. She and Bartholomew lived briefly and happily together for a time somewhere in the Caribbean, but a few years after Pippa's birth, Anna's wanderlust got the better of her and she sailed off, never to be heard from again. But Pippa grew up happily with her father, sailing around the world with him on his ship and partaking of his adventures. Even at an early age, she was particularly interested in all the different animals and creatures there were in the world.

When Pippa turned eleven she got her Hogwarts letter and her father sailed back to Great Britain to enroll her and then lived in Scotland for a time. After her first year, Pippa's father withdrew her to accompany him on a journey to the Far East, for he felt that the experience to be gained from travel was as important as schooling. In fall of 2076, Bartholomew was back in Europe and Pippa spent two years at the Beauxbatons Academy. Her teachers there tried vainly to instill a little decorum and elegance into her, but she never really fit in. In September of 2077, she briefly attended the Durmstrang Institute, which turned out to be a bit of a disaster. After a month, both the Durmstrang staff and the Weatherbees agreed that Pippa would be better off somewhere else. Pippa spent the rest of that year travelling with her father, which she liked better than going to school anyway. By the fall of 2078, Bartholomew was travelling in the Americas, so he and Pippa decided to give Ilvermorny a try, and she managed to stay there for two years without serious incident. But in 2080, Bartholomew was getting homesick (and besides, he wasn't as young as he used to be), so he returned to England and Pippa returned to Hogwarts for her remaining three years of school, graduating in 2083 at the age of 19.

The year after she graduated, Pippa spent a final year touring the world with her father, and he made sure to show her all his favorite places and sights. When she returned to Europe, Pippa got a job as a junior assistant to a Dragonologist at the Swedish Dragon Reservation. She enjoyed that a lot and was promoted to senior assistant, but she didn't have the Owls or Newts required to go on to be a Dragonologist, so after six years she quit and joined the Magical Mystical Circus (a Wizarding circus of some renown), where she trained and performed with various animals and creatures. She loved this life, relishing the travel and the show business and especially caring for all the creatures. But in 2100, her father's health began failing, and Pippa returned to England to be nearer to him where he now lived in Kent. She got a job nearby at the Figg Memorial Kneazle Sanctuary as a kneazle groomer, but after two years, her father became so ill that Pippa quit work in order to take care of him. She ran a part-time pet service to supplement their income, grooming, walking, and pet-sitting for both Muggle and Wizard customers. Her father finally died in 2103, leaving his parrot, Barnaby, to his daughter, and Pippa continued her petsitting business while she settled his affairs. She had one particular client, a wealthy witch named Florizel Orpington, who was particularly fond of the way Pippa cared for her beloved kneazle, Darcy. When the old witch died suddenly in the summer of 2104, Pippa was surprised to find that she had left all her money, and her kneazle, to Pippa. Pippa saw the opportunity to fulfill her dream of opening her own magical creature shop, so she took the money and bought the Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley, which was conveniently available, and moved into London. After a while, however, her free spirit got restless, so she sold the shop and went off adventuring as a freelance Magizoologist.

Pippa is quirky, unpredictable, and full of energy and imagination. She has her own sense of style and doesn't care one bit if others think it odd. She's used to keeping her own hours and living as she pleases, and she's not very good following rules and regulations. Though not unintelligent, she's not particularly interested in scholarly pursuits; she would rather learn by observation and experience. Valerie was always difficult and stubborn, even before she was born as she came into this world in breech position. Born into an impoverished family in the middle of the night on a particularly windy day, Valerie was often left in the care of the family's good Samaritan neighbors starting as an infant. Her father spent the majority of his earnings as a bankteller at the Black Jack table rather than providing for his family, thus resulting in her mother working long hours at a juice production factory and would come home each night with a carton of juice she had pressed and boxed herself that day which she shared with her children over crusts of bread she had salvaged from the discarded bits of sandwiches the factory also produced. These moments of being huddled around by their matchbox sized kitchen table eating crusts of bread and sharing a carton of juice (typically apple but on the rare special occasion cranberry) were the favorite moments of Valerie's day.

A little after her sixth birthday in the midst of a terrible tantrum, a sizable earthquake shook the area leaving her home (and only her home for some reason) in shambles with Valerie the sole survivor of her family. She was then sent to live with her paternal uncle's (and godfather) family in Tacoma, Washington.

Struggling with making meaningful human connections outside of family all her life because of classism and prejudices towards her appearance, Valerie attended Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where her closest and only friends were Kyle Baker and Jesús Rodríguez. Life changed for Valerie when, in her sixth year, she was selected to represent Ilvermorny and her Wampus house in the The International Magical Pupil Standoff (IMPS) along with her two best friends. Finishing third overall in the competition behind Kyle and Levi Kenning (who had earned her respect and become a friend during the competition), Valerie returned to America and Ilvermorny to finished her education and immediately applied to attend university in the United Kingdom. Jesús too returned to the United Kingdom and the pair got a flat together along with mutual acquittance Jerry Zimmer. While attending university and coming into her own, Jesús and Valerie began to explore their mutual feelings for one another that had been intensifying since the IMPS competition and she felt herself falling for him. However, one day Jesús left a note for her saying he was moving out and moving in with an older woman...completely breaking Valerie's heart and causing her to fortify her walls once again because people were the worst and love was both a lie and a curse. Over time, Valerie and Jerry too began to explore a mutual attraction and affection for one another while never truly opening up to one another exclusively in part because of their past failed relationships.

Upon graduating from university, Valerie became listless and unable to find herself a steady job due to her lack of a bedside manner and temper. Often times she would use her animagus form to perform petty theft and other misdemeanors more for the thrill of it than out of necessity, just to feel something other than the melancholy that had taken over her existence. Eventually, Jerry accidentally got Valerie involved in the film industry by bringing her as his plus one to a function and was 'discovered' by a director there. She became the reluctant lead of an indie film released in November 2103 that was a commercial success and propelled her into a fleeting and unwanted limelight. Her film career on hold indefinitely, Valerie resumed the cycling through many jobs until the owner of Noltie's Botanical Novelties noted the frequency with which she visited the shop, almost always because of good friend David Truebridge, and offered Valerie a position on their staff. Impressed by Valerie's knowledge and thoroughness, though less so her repertoire with customers which could be quite prickly, they offered her an assistant position ... and Valerie eagerly accepted.

Ethan grew up in a small town outside of Boston. His mother and father went to Ilvermorny before continuing at Wizard University in Massachusetts. After graduation his father started working at the university while his mother began raising the family at home. He’s the middle of seven kids. He has three older sisters and two younger brothers and a baby sister. Growing up the children were around magic as much as they weren’t around it. It was no wonder that Ethan began showing signs of magic around the age of five or six.

In his early education Ethan liked to cause trouble by playing jokes. Whether they were muggle jokes in his early muggle education or slight magical ones in his other school. At Ilvermorny he stood out as an excellent potions master, but also loved history of magic. It was always intriguing as to how magic had evolved to him.

History:

Barty was born to a minor Pureblood family in Penzance on the Cornwall coast. His ancestors were rumored to be shipwreckers and smugglers. He attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin, but he either dropped out or was expelled (depending on who you ask) in his sixth year. Since then, he has been involved in a wide variety of businesses and enterprises, the most recent of which was owner of the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley in Diagon Alley. Braylon Mikael Sawyer was born to Randall and Lorna Sawyer on December 25th, 2059, the 1st of three children, in California, USA. The Sawyer family lived close to Lorna’s parents, giving the children an opportunity to grow up with close relationships to parents and grandparents alike. As he grew, Braylon grew a particularly close bond with his mother and grandmother and liked to join them in baking and cooking new recipes for weekly family events. By the time he was 10, Bray was creating his own recipes and had committed to cooking dinner once a week - the task he looked forward to completing the most. At 11, he was most upset to have received his letter of invitation to attend Ilvermony school of Magic, as he knew it meant having to leave his family and getting to cook as often. He’d been half hoping he would have been a squib, despite the tell tale signs prior of his ability for magic.

The school term rolled around following his 11th birthday, and Braylon was off to school. His school years were relatively uneventful, if one didn’t count all the letters to his parents regarding his poor grades and the fact they’d found him skipping class to spend time in the kitchen (which he didn’t MEAN to do, but once a loaf was in the oven you couldn’t LEAVE). Bray did not make too many friends, but he considered himself a success that his loud personality only earned him about half of the population not being his number 1 fan. It always could have been worse.

Following graduation from Ilvermony, Braylon already knew he wanted to proceed with cooking as a career. Baking was his favorite, but he was not looking to limit himself to that only. So he applied and was accepted into American University of Paris where he pursued an education in culinary. He would have liked to get accepted into a better culinary school right off the bat, however he did not have the experience on his resume in order to be accepted. But he learned to make do with what he’d been offered, and instead attempted to gain recognition for his skills by entering ever entrance level food contest he could. He even participated in food eating contests, because this was also something he was excellent at and truthfully the cash prizes were what he used to begin to start a fund for his own restaurant in the future.

During this time of his travels for competitions, and applying to jobs following his graduation from the culinary program, Braylon met his now wife Constance. He had no idea how he managed someone as perfect as she to go for someone like HIM, however it was something he often mentioned in his gratitude journals as she was the best thing to happen to him.

Bray eventually found a job working as a chef at a restaurant close to where his parents had lived. He spent 3 years there, working his way from entry level, to sous chef, to head and enjoying every moment. Though if he was truthful, he also wanted to be able to run more front of house business operations and get more face time with customers as WELL as making the food. It was then he began developing plans to start his own business. While his savings were growing generous, it was not enough until both his parents unexpectedly passed - leaving an inheritance that Bray then used to start a business and named it after his mom. It was small for awhile, Braylon hiring someone to help with front of house while he developed the menu, but after a year of some steady customers, he was able to hire a couple of cooks and continue to develop from there. Braylon spent all of his time continuing to grow his business and by the time his youngest was 11, he was approached about starting another in London. His family was up for the move, so the Sawyer family packed up and headed across the pond.

The next year remained busy as he started from scratch building another business, and he only stepped back to slow things down following an injury for his youngest daughter which resulted in the need for homeschooling. Bray’s eldest daughter was the best resource for teaching, as she had just recently graduated and helped them go through curriculum and show it to those of his brood who had opted to stay home in solidarity with their sister. Not too long after this though, Bray started to feel guilty at not having been involved with his kids and more focused on work. So he sold the store he was working on as a franchise, allowing someone else to build under the name while he stayed home with the kids more - after a few years also moving them to France when the kids were ready to go back to school and requested Beauxbatons.

Braylon did not attempt to start another restaurant in France, preferring to work again in a chef capacity at somewhere already established in order to have more time at home. It was not long though until he began to miss the operational side. And when he visited Diagon Alley on a trip and found the Leaky Cauldron was up for new ownership, he impulsively put in an application and an offer for the business and was delighted at the outcome. He moved back to the UK in order to begin on operations, allowing his family to follow along when they were ready as the two youngest were still in school and the elders scattered around.

ABOUT

Spencer was born in May 2086, to free spirit Pandora Kuznetsova, and straight-laced, then Daily Prophet reporter, Kenrick Muldoon. His parents had been in a turbulent off-again-on-again relationship for years, at one point becoming engaged, but had permanently ended their relationship by the time Spencer was born. Custody was split between his mother and father, and he stayed with his father for most of the time, as his mother would often leave to travel on short notice.

Spencer has severe ADHD, and was a handful from day one, constantly challenging his father's previously cool composure. As well as restlessness and distractibility, Spencer has always struggled with being disorganised and forgetful, impulsive, talkative, abrasive, and occasionally intensely emotional, though for the most part he's fun and easy going, flirty (with girls), hiLARious, and hardly ever throws furniture when he gets upset, except for that one time. A top lad. Only quality banter here.

As a child, he outstayed his welcome at two different primary schools, and was kept at home for his final year before secondary school. By the time he set off for Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Gryffindor, Spencer already knew he was considered troublesome and unintelligent, and, given how much he struggled to engage with schoolwork, had long since started to believe it himself. So he leaned into it, and focused instead on girls, and on swimming, his great passion which he dreamed of doing at a professional level, and blagged his way through school.

Spencer did, however, find he had a natural aptitude for Potions, and was fairly capable in Defence Against the Dark Arts. These were the only subjects he tended to do consistently well in, though his final grades seldom reflected this as he had a tendency to flounder in exam conditions. Spencer's OWLs were taken the year of the Rheticus Vortex, and his NEWTs in the year of the hostile takeover by the Neo-Alliance. In both instances, rather than take the extra time offered to prepare once the danger had passed, he took his exams as soon as he could in order to get them out of the way.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Spencer found himself adrift - though, as he would quickly point out to anyone, he'd got himself a long-term girlfriend at Hogwarts, and loads of admirers among the female population (allegedly), so it hadn't been a complete waste of time. He'd quit swimming in his fifth year, seemingly out of the blue, citing only that he was built all wrong for it and so at a natural disadvantage, and never won anything anyway. Eventually, he found work part time as a lifeguard at the local muggle pool, but, determined to earn enough to move out of his dad's flat, kept applying and looking for anyone who would hire him.

It was starting to seem hopeless, until the shopkeeper of Slug and Jiggers Apothecary (a) saw his amazing potential to be a potions expert (or something), (b) was charmed by his amazing personality, good looks, and sales patter, (c) took pity on him, or (d) all of the above. She took him on as a shop assistant, and gave him the chance he'd been waiting for.
