Hiya  I'm FireboltAvis88 aka Alyssa Potter or Pearl in RL. This is my first venture into the 100 drabbles, so I hope that I don't embarrass myself here too much. My problem will be trying to keep my drabbles down to 100 words. For those who've seen my posts will know that it's going to be a tough feat, but I'm determined to see whether I can do this. So here goes. This was it. The Sorting Hat. Even though Alyssa was coming in as a Second Term student, this would be her first time getting sorted by the Sorting Hat. She was anxious to know which house she would end up in. 'Please let it either be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff' Alyssa thought to herself. 'At least it will either be Dad's or Grandma's house.'
The Hat was placed on her head and Alyssa closed her eyes and prayed. Then the magical words were spoken. HUFFLEPUFF
Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief, jumped off the stool and joined her fellow housemates. | |

5. Astronomy
Alyssa loved being up in the Astronomy Tower, gazing through her telescope and searching for stars. She was here now to look for the Constellation Leo. She looked through her telescope and looked in awe and at what she saw. It was a cloudless night and all she could see were stars. As she searched, she saw something from the corner of her eye. She quickly adjusted her scope and saw a falling star. It was so beautiful. She just wished that she could catch the falling star and put it in her pocket and keep it for all time.

61. Kiss
Aaron Roberts was back? Alyssa had thought that he wasn't coming back to Hogwarts. Alyssa felt awkward seeing him again. She went over to welcome him and was surprised when he grabbed her in a hug. " You don't get to hug me, Aaron." But he wouldn't let her go. So Alyssa tickled him hoping that would make him release her. Unfortunately, they somehow they ended up face to face and before she knew it, Alyssa kissed him. Aaron then confessed that he missed and loved her. The new term was starting to look good with a budding new relationship included.

95. Snowball
Alyssa was really excited. Together with the help of Jory, Minerva, Penny and Janice, they had built the cutest snowman ever for the Snowman Building Competition. Actually it looked more like a snowbear, so they called it Yogi. They had dressed him up in a Hufflepuff scarf, gloves, and even a Hufflepuff sweater. When the results were announced, they all jumped with glee, because they had won the Group Competion. They took pictures with Yogi before celebrating the only way they knew how. They made snowballs and threw them at anyone who was still around. Let the real fun begin!!

1. Herbology
Alyssa always loved going down to the Greenhouse for Herbology Lessons. Professor Bentley always let them work with plants which they normally would not in the outside world. Just this term alone, they had worked with Fanged Geranium and Piranha Plants. They had to floss their teeth which she loved doing except for having to hold her breath while doing it. But then Oakey fainted while they were partnering up with Milton and they had to carry him to the Hospital Wing. They had even worked with Snarglepuffs and Firebush plants. Not everybody could say that they had done that.

7. Care of Magical Creatures
Alyssa loved attending Care of Magical Creatures classes this term. Getting to work with RoRo, the baby Portuguese Long Snout was always fun, but a challenge too. Getting him to walk was one of them. One thing Alyssa had found out was that RoRo had a mind of his own. You had to wait for him to decide whether he wanted to walk or not. If you forced him, he was most likely to turn around and snap at you or blow fire in your face. Like the Professor said, " If you can't take the heat, don't tickle the dragon."

88. Sweet Tooth
One of Alyssa's greatest weaknesses was her craving for anything sweet. She had a sweet tooth.. That was why she always brought a stash of candy with her, especially chocolate frogs and marshmallows. But unfortunately, right now she had a craving for a cookie. A peanut butter cookie. She knew that the Gryffindor Prefect Kurumi Hollingberry was an expert at making them and she had always wanted to ask her for some of her recipes. She had even seen Kurumi hand over some cookies to Professor Vindictus during one Flying Lesson Class. Alyssa practically drooled at the sight of them.

2. Muggle Studies
Alyssa loved attending Muggle Studies because Professor Cerulean always had something different to teach them about Muggles in every lesson she taught. But Alyssa's favorite thing about her class was when she had all kinds of Muggle candy and every kind of popcorn flavored laid out for the students to take. Of course with food, they needed drinks. Alyssa loved that she served Hot Cocoa, and all kinds of sodas, especially Coca Cola and once thought of suggesting to the Professor that Muggles also loved that tangy flavored drink called Tang and wondered that the Professor even knew about that.

13. Quidditch
Alyssa loved played Quidditch and she played it all the time whenever she could. Secretly in the backyard of her mansion back home in the States, and especially in Hogwarts. She had been recruited to play for her House team in her first year at Hogwarts and had been playing ever since. In her second term, she had met a first year boy, Alec Summers, who next to Kita Lewis, her former team captain, was an amazing Seeker. Alec loved a lot of things especially gummy bears and ice cream. If he could, he would eat ice cream every day.

45. Licorice Wand
It was April 1st, April Fools Day and Alyssa was careful not to fall for anyone's pranks. She did not mind a trick or two. But so far, she had already seen someone with smoke coming out of his ear and someone growing whiskers. Alyssa had to admit that George and Fred Weasley were awfully good when it came to their pranks. They were THE MASTERS!! Suddenly, Alyssa heard a noice as she rounded the corner and reached for her wand only to find it been swapped for a Licorice one. She had been the next victim of a prank.

74. X-Tinguish
It was the 4th of July today and Alyssa wanted to celebrate America's Independence Day here at the lake by shooting off some fireworks into the sky. But unfortunately, she had not brought any with her. Then she had a brilliant idea. Checking to make sure that there were no Professors around, she took out her wand and pointed it up into the sky.
" PERICULUM!!" Red sparks shot out from her wand and flew up into the dark night sky. Her own magical fireworks display! Alyssa continued to cast the spell until she heard footsteps. Time to X-tinguish!!

6. Divination
"Can I read your fortune, Miss?" Alyssa turned around to smile at the woman who had spoken to her. 'Oh wow, a fortune teller.' Alyssa thought to herself as she sat down and gave the woman her right hand.
"You see this line? This means that you will win a million dollars." the woman showed Alyssa.
Alyssa sat back and tried not to laugh. "Ma'am I think you need lessons from my Divination teacher, Professor Elwood. That line you said is a line? Uh...that's actually an ink smudge." Alyssa showed the woman as she rubbed the line off.

" Come on guys!! Go for Gold!!" Alyssa cupped her hands to her mouth and called out. " You can do this. Go for Gold!!"she yelled out in encouragement as she waited for the race to start. Alyssa did not think that she would get excited over something like this. Her brothers had brought her here to watch this once in a lifetime moment. ' I guess there is always a first for everything.' Alyssa thought to herself.
Alyssa held her breath and sat forward in her seat, as she watched the competitors line up.
READY....
STEADY....
GO!!
....And the tortoises ran!!

8. Potions
'We need to make sure that we don't mess this up or we're going to have to do this all over again.' Alyssa told herself.
'Making this is almost as hard as making one of Professor Lafay's potions', Alyssa thought as she blew the bangs out of her eyes.
'Easy does it.' Alyssa told herself as she slowly dropped the contents of her tablespoon into the pot. She picked up her wooden spoon and began stirring the mixture. She stirred it four times before pouring the boiling liquid into a cup.
"Mmmm....Hot Cocoa!!" Alyssa smacked her lips.

10. Arithmancy
As you walk into the Arithmancy classroom you wonder whether you are going to be able to understand the Professor. One thing you know for sure. Math is not your forte.
You sit down at your desk and hope that you do not make a fool of yourself.
Then you see your Head of House, Professor Hadley, enter the room and your breath catches in your chest. She is OUR ARITHMANCY PROFESSOR? You think to yourself.
But the Professor starts teaching and you realize that this class is not so bad after all. You do understand ALMOST everything she says.

3. Transfiguration
Alyssa was going to turn a toothpick into a boat. She waved her wand in a circle over the toothpick, concentrated hard on the spell and said the incantation to the spell," Vergrand-Is Nav-Is"
Nothing happened.
She concentrated even harder and tried again.
But nothing happened.
She frowned. She had never failed to transfigure anything in her Transfiguration Class. Sure, she would fail one time, but after that she was ALWAYS successful. She tried again.
...again she failed.
" Oi you there. Yes. You typing. I NEVER FAIL!!"
I reply. " Well you do in my drabbles. Stop being a Mary Sue."

96. Socks
Alyssa walked along the beach until she spotted it in the distance. A trail of socks!
She followed the trail as it led away from the beach and up a little knoll. ' Who would leave a trail of socks out in the middle of nowhere?' Alyssa thought to herself.
She rounded a corner and realized where the trail led to. A tombstone. Alyssa sighed sadly as she rearranged the pile of socks lying around. Once finished, she read the inscription on the tombstone. " Here Lies Dobby. A Free Elf."
...and the socks below it read. " WE HEART YOU, DOBBY."

54. Dare
" I can't believe I'm doing this. They know that I can't resist a dare, but even I know this is crazy." Alyssa kept mumbling to herself as she tightened the shoelaces on her Quidditch boots. Her brothers knew that she couldn't say no to a dare and had come up with another one of their bizzare dares. " I need to learn to say no." Alyssa said to herself.
Looking around to make sure no one else saw what she was about to do, she tiptoed on one foot, twirled around and completed a piroutte wearing her Quidditch shoes. Dare Completed!

92. Chocolate
Alyssa breathed in the air. It smelled of fresh new flowers. Spring was finally here. The Great Easter Egg hunt was on and Alyssa was determined to find the chocolate eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden from her. Searching through the bushes, she saw something strange, something white. She looked closer and realized that it was the Easter Bunny. It poked its head out of the hole and looked around before disappearing back in. " Oh Mommy, I guess we're going to have another 5 more weeks of winter. The bunny saw his shadow and went back inside to hide."

....and Alyssa grinned as she silently let out another fart into the air.

Alyssa walked up to the pumpkin and smiled. " Jack O'Lantern. Mission Accomplished."

Alyssa studied her textbook, A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot. It had been almost a decade since she last opened that book.
" What are you reading, Mom? Can I have a look?" Sydney asked her mother.
Alyssa handed over her book to her 6 year old daughter.
" Wow, Mom. The stuff in this book is really old. All this happened before you were born."
" I know Sydney. That's why it's called a history book."
Sydney frowned for awhile before asking. " Can I see the other one?"
" Which one, Sydney?"
" If this book is His-story, I want to see Her-story."

14. HOGWARTS, A HISTORY
Alyssa had heard about the Ghosts that haunted the halls in Hogwarts.
Understandably, they were all former students of the school, loved being here and didn't want to leave. But what about Peeves? He was not even a ghost but a Poltergeist that came with the school.
" How can something come with the school?"
" Hey Peeves. Why are you here?"
A book came flying at her from out of nowhere. It was entitled Hogwarts, a History.
Alyssa replied," So you want me to read why? Too chicken to tell me huh?"
...and out of nowhere, a rubber chicken hit her.
