Located on the South side of Diagon Alley in London, past a number of other shops you notice a quaint building. It is a café in this fairly busy part of section. What makes this different from the other shops? Their logo for one, resembling a wispy stag that moves every now and then in the window, illuminating from a quite distance in the evenings. One can't help but chance a glance as they pass by.
Approaching the café you get a large sense of security as a warm haze falls over you upon entry. There were tables outside the place, where diners could have their meals and chat among themselves as well as indoors. Heading on the inside you are greeted with the sight of many Patronuses floating throughout the walls behind the other stag logos of the café. The flooring a pleasant velvet red, further emphasizing the pleasant warmth one would experience whether for a quick stop or a romantic scenery.
Floating around you see the wispy forms moving around the walls featuring creatures such as phoenixes, zebras, otters, horses and many other magical creatures. Perhaps your own will join the walls if you stay long enough? The tables are compact and decorated with candles that automatically light up keeping the darkness at bay. Along with additional small booths near the back for more privacy. The Menu illuminates right behind the counter as you approach to order. As soon as you sit, you can't help but feel as if you're right at home.

Being called ‘Mum’ was certainly a frequent occurrence for the fifty-four year old. She was lucky in the sense that she had five children of her own and so therefore it was a name she was used to hearing. “You’d be surprised how often I hear that. Not that I mind, I’d like to think that I had that kind of positive influence and level of trust on my students.” She did exude motherly vibes. Taking a sip of her own Latte she listened intently to whatever Sadie had to say. An ambitious young lady with her head firmly screwed on was exactly what the Healing field needed right now. “I shall hold you to that” she smiled.
The question was something that Trixie had been asked several times before so the answer that followed didn’t need much thought. “It was during rotations around the different wards, you’ll find something that really appeals to you. I find it’s best to go in without any expectations for it’s likely that once you are actually there you’ll be surprised by what piques your interest.” She knew some who thought the Janus Thickey Ward was where they’d find their passion but the daily toll of seeing long term decline played havoc with their minds and therefore transferred over to a less harrowing ward. “For me I knew that I wanted to help those with medical fears specifically all inspired by my best friend at school Oliver Greenwood. I don’t know if you’re a keen Quidditch enthusiast but he used to play for the Falmouth Falcons. He was absolutely terrified any time he had to see the nurse so much so that he’d actively avoid it. I couldn’t let anyone else suffer because of a phobia.” She had however experience across all the wards in St Mungos and had her own private practice in a less sterile environment. “Don’t tell anyone I told you that though,” she chuckled softly. They might’ve been in their fifties now but they were still best of friends and the Healer didn’t want him to think she was spreading deep dark secrets at all.
As for why she chose to leave active practice and move to education was a little more complicated. “I wanted to make way for the future generation. What could be more important than educating the next batch of Healers to ensure they are well prepared for their working life?” In a way it was even more rewarding than her previous career whilst still maintaining some relevancy in the Healing world. Trixie WAS a Slytherin after all and fading into the background in retirement was not something on her agenda.

Oh, it hadn’t been organised by him but he had been asked to share his many successful years of experience as a professional player with some youngsters. Being super great with kiddos, the man had readily agreed. Before he headed to this grand event {it really wasn’t that grand but with Adi being an extrovert and always ready to mingle, the event was in his mind}, he made a last minute decision to stop at the Espresso Patronum to grab himself something nice.
The forty one year old was utterly unsurprised to see the place so crowded, and as he waited for his white chocolate mocha, Adi’s gaze was focused on the Patronuses. He thought of his own coyote Patronus which he hadn’t conjured in a while… until now. With a mutter of the incantation and a thought of his happiest memory, he watched with satisfaction as Glider {his coyote buddy} went off to join the others.
Having some time to spare now, the man decided he could chill for a bit. The trouble was that everywhere was full. Many persons had a group gathering, or otherwise at least one other {possibly couples on a date} but there was one person that Adi noticed fairly quickly in his scan of the place. Would the younger man mind being interrupted? With only one way to find out, he weaved his way through the crowd. “Hi!’’ Adi gave one of his signature beams. “Hope I’m not intruding on your personal space. Um, would you mind if I crash here for a bit?”
Minjae sighed softly as he picked up his drink and crossed out the seventh item on his list of graduation gifts. He took a sip, his dark brown eyes darting over to the wispy forms of the patronuses. He had successfully cast a corporeal patronus about a year before, an accomplishment of which he was quite proud.
He returned his gaze to his notebook. How come he had no trouble thinking of gifts for his friends but struggled to think of one for his own brother?! Daniel was difficult to please, though.
His hand was in midair as it reached for the drink again when a voice said hello. Minjae looked up, a puzzled expression on his face as he realized it was directed at him. As the man asked if he could sit at his table for a moment, his confused expression turned wary.
Before responding, the ex-Hufflepuff looked around for a free table, and when he realized they were all taken, he nodded. "Uhm... of course," he said as he drew his notebook closer"You can put my bag on the ground" He gestured at the chair opposite himself on which he had placed his bag.

Adi might be reading too much into the young man’s body language but he thought he looked bothered. The Magizoologist had half a mind to turn right around and walk away because he didn’t want to add stress to the fellow. Yes, he was still a considerate Hufflepuff at heart. Anyway. That was definitely a confused expression followed by… attentiveness?
Maybe leaving really was the best option, Adi thought as he watched the guy look around {probably looking for a free table so he could point Adi in that direction?}. But then Adi was replied to positively and he smiled. “Thanks! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Patronum this packed.” The bag was placed carefully on the ground beside its owner.
“You seem a little preoccupied.’’ Adi settled himself comfortably into the seat before taking a swig of his drink. “Anything I can help with, you reckon?”

His apprehension had been nothing personal, he had simply learned over the years that not everyone in the world was as friendly as they appeared to be. Especially people who approached others to sit at their table. That had been why the ex-Hufflepuff had looked around at the tables, to check if his story had truth behind it.
"True. Although it is a popular café, I don't think I've ever seen it this crowded before" He replied after the man had placed his bag on the ground. He pushed it under his chair with his leg to keep it safe from anyone tripping over it.
Minjae expected the man to drink his white chocolate mocha in silence and then leave, so when he asked a question, Minjae looked up for a brief moment from his notebook. Actually, obtaining the assistance of an outsider may not be a bad idea. Perhaps he could make some suggestions that he hadn't considered before.
"Maybe…" He sighed tiredly and grabbed his caramel latte, taking a sip. "My brother is graduating from Hogwarts, and I'd like to give him a graduation present" he said, setting the mug down. "The issue is that I don't know what to give him. He's extremely difficult to please." He once brought him a limited edition of a classic book, to which he replied, 'Oh, I have four of those already.' "So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated."

Desiree had just finished her shift at Madam Malkin’s and had the rest of the day to herself. What better way to pass the time than to spend it with a close friend? She had a full afternoon planned for Mouse and herself. First thing on the list: a light snack at Espresso Patronum.
She ordered a white chocolate mocha and a slice of torte, carrying her food to a table near the front of the shop. Espresso Patronum may not be as fancy as the Parisian cafes she was used to, but it had its own unique charm. Like the patronuses on the walls, for example. She watched a particularly graceful one - a silvery swan - glide past as she waited for her friend.

Mouse's trip back to Paris to visit Maman had been cut short when the girl realized how many things she still needed to do here in London if she was planning on staying here full time. Considering this was where the friendships she was most endeared to resided, she couldn't actually picture living elsewhere. Not at this time, anyways. But staying here meant she needed to find a job, figure out if she was going to sign up for university and most importantly - find a place to live. She could stay with her father and his new family for the time being, but despite the leaps and bounds of progress she'd made with Rosie she didn't feel 'at home' in the new house, so she was determined it'd be temporary.
Which is why she'd spent the morning at Nesting Occamy, though that had been fruitless considering the income portion still needed to be figured before she could put in an application. All of it had been making her feel the slightest bit hopefully, so as she made her way into Espresso Patronus, she was very much ready for the pick me up a fun day with her dear friend.
Spotting Desiree immediately, Mouse beamed warmly towards her and gave a wave before pointing to the counter to indicate she was just going to grab something to snack on before joining her. A quick decision of a hot chocolate and a lemon posett (an underrated flavor combination if one asked her), she made her way with the procured treats and slid into the seat across. "You're a sight for sore eyes, my friend! How are you? How's summer?"

Then Minjae was certainly in for a surprise because this man was as friendly as ever! Always had been, always will be! Even if his request had been refused, Adi wouldn’t have gotten huffy or anything of the sort. What was the point of such behaviour?
“Must be a good day to treat oneself,’’ Adi replied breezily. Was that what he was doing here presently? Yes. He was taking a break from being a Magizoologist, parent and husband. It was quite relaxing and everyone needed some of that at intervals.
Another thing that Minjae would learn is that Adi wasn’t one to sit in silence, though he would if requested. But with all this energy usually bubbling through his veins… it was just too difficult for him. Ah, presents! Presents were always such a stressful thing to meander around. What to get his husband for special occasions, or even just for a fun surprise, can be most difficult at times. “What does your brother enjoy? Are you working with a budget?” Basic questions to get started on this process!

Minjae agreed with a nod. It was a good day to spoil oneself. "I'd say every day is a good day to treat oneself, but that could be my inner Hufflepuff talking" He chuckled, gradually becoming at ease with the stranger seated in front of him. "I'd recommend the Tiramisu if you want to treat yourself to something more" He wasn't an employee at the Patronum anymore, but it didn't hurt the business if he made suggestions to customers.
"I'm not sure..." He responded after the man asked what his brother would enjoy, and he felt terrible. "I mean, he mostly keeps to himself and he always has his nose buried in a book. But giving a book is so obvious that he'd probably be disappointed in me for not even trying" he said as he drank the last of his drink and set the empty mug on the table.
” Let’s say that I have more than enough to gift him something nice”‘and expensive’ he thought. Coming from a wealthy family, he was not used to having a budget, but he understood the matter of it. If he didn't have enough he could simply ask his parents for more. But he wasn't going to do that.
"Maybe if I don't 'think' about it, an idea will come to me." He sighed. "By the way, my name is Minjae." he said, extending his hand in greeting.

She had just enough time to clear a space on the table before Mouse appeared, and her smile grew. “Mouse, hi!” she replied, her bright blue eyes lighting up. “I’m great! You?” She giggled as the subject turned to summer vacation. “It’s been good, good but busy between the family trip to France, my job, and volunteer work on the weekends. How’s yours?”
Her eyes fell to Mouse’s lemon posset. Hmm, chocolate and lemon… that was a flavor combination she wouldn’t have ordinarily considered! “Is that good with hot chocolate?” she asked.

Adi perked up. “You’re a Hufflepuff?” He never referred to anyone who graduated from Hogwarts as a past member of their respective House. As far as he was concerned, that House was forever theirs. “Spent seven years at Hogwarts then?” Or had the guy been a transfer student? “You know,’’ he continued thoughtfully, eyes flicking towards the counter and baristas randomly. “Tiramisu is something I have yet to try despite hearing all the glowing reviews about it. You just might be the reminder I needed.” Perhaps he’ll get some to go. Orrr he could bring the family for a treat soon.
Ah, a bookworm! Adi had experiences with a few of those. “Has your brother ever mentioned wanting to be a writer? Enrolling him for writing lessons would be a nice nudge in that direction. Bookmarks are always a nice gift too, especially those 3D ones. Muggle bookstores carry a lot of those.” Now, what else would be ideal for a reader, aside from books, of course? The possibilities were many given that there seemed to be endless resources on the younger man’s part.
“Sometimes we overthink it because we want the gift to be perfect and the person to like it. That’s something that puts a lot of pressure on us.” Right! An introduction! Adi had completely forgotten about that! “Aditya Atreyu-Rheman. It’s really great to meet you, Minjae!’’ The extended hand was firmly shaken.

The older girl certainly wouldn't have been offended, especially considering the movement of the patronuses WAS something truly beautiful. She was still sour she couldn't produce anything corporeal, or else she'd probably do it all the time just to watch the Charms movement. She took a small sip of her hot chocolate as she settled in, listening as Desiree responded to her rapid fire questions - giving the occasional nods of interest or agreement. "It's all been pretty much the same for me! I just got back from France myself. Spent some time with my Maman. But now I need to start applying for jobs and a flat and… just figure everything out for next term I suppose!" It was a lot, but she'd get it settled. "How's volunteer work? And how was your trip?"
At the question of her food, Mouse gave a giggle as she stabbed a forkful and put it in her mouth. "it's truly a better combo than anyone gives it credit for! Would you like to try?"

Not that she was surprised that Mouse had spent some time there, but she wondered if Mouse’s trip had overlapped with hers. “Shame I didn’t know about your trip ahead of time! We could’ve met up!” she said, the wheels in her brain already turning. “Oh well, maybe that’s something we can do next summer.” How much fun would that be?!
Speaking of France, her thoughts turned to her own trip. “My trip was fun, Lots of shopping and quality time with my grandparents, though it does get a bit crowded with all of us in the same house. How’s your Maman?”
Desiree took a dainty sip of her white chocolate mocha before answering the other question. “The volunteer work is going well so far, a little tiring sometimes but rewarding. Though I’ll be glad when I can use magic outside school!” And that wouldn’t be long; her seventeenth birthday was only a few months away! “What kind of job are you applying for? She eyed the lemon posset with an intrigued expression. “I believe it,” she replied. “Yes, please. Trade for a bite of my torte?”

Minjae nodded, his dark brown eyes shining with pride as he did so. He was extremely proud of having been in Hufflepuff and would occasionally mention it. He had no shame about it. After all, it was part of his life. "Seven years, yes" Actually, it was more like 6 years of pretending to be interested in education and 1 year of trying not to get killed. But details smetails."And now my little brother completed his seven years ...." he felt OLD now T__T
With the tiramisu being his favorite dessert, he was a bit shocked that the man had never tried it. He was about to stand up, walk over to the counter, order one, and hand it to him because he HAD to try it when he realized how strange that would be. So he remained seated, taking his word for it that he would try it one day. "I understand, though" He did not! Try it right now! "Usually, when something has a glowing review, you have high expectations, so when it doesn't meet your expectations, it feels even more disappointing."
"Writing lessons..." Minjae rested his elbow on the table's surface and his chin in the palm of his hand as he considered this birthday suggestion. "I'll tell you what, I like it. It's definitely different, and he's always talking about how he can "write something better than this piece of garbage fiction" his words, not mine" He laughed.
Minjae had completely forgotten the man's name by the time he introduced himself. sorry. [B]"Nice to meet you too, sir, and I apologize for being a little rude earlier."He said this while shaking his hand. "So...." Minjae looked around the cafe, looking for a topic to talk about now that his problem had been solved. He disliked awkward silences. "Oh, I saw you casting a Patronus earlier. That's really cool, what shape does it take?"
Desiree blinked at the mention of France. Not that she was surprised that Mouse had spent some time there, but she wondered if Mouse’s trip had overlapped with hers. “Shame I didn’t know about your trip ahead of time! Mouse would always be happy to meet up with Desiree whenever the other girl had time, and she should have thought to ask and coordinate prior to this last jaunt, but it also might have been good she hadn't. Her maman had been not particularly pleased when Mouse informed she would not be moving to France full time to live with her. She'd been rather clingy after that, until the girl assured she would visit at least once every season. "I plan to go back pretty often each year to visit her. We should definitely coordinate and hang out in France next summer when you go!" She could easily plan her time around what Desiree had available.
"I bet they loved having you there with them! Did you guys go and do any excursions or anything? Or just some nice family time?" At the question of her mother, Mouse considered for a moment the best way to answer. Maman had really been struggling since the divorce, and Mouse staying in England had been another blow. But... she seemed okay by the end of the trip. "She's doing a lot better, I think! I wouldn't say she's entirely happy lately but... She's okay."
Mouse smiled, pleased to hear volunteering was going well. She hoped it continued to be so and was quite excited for her friend and the more opportunities she would have next term when she could do magic as well. "i'm glad! After seeing more of the field first hand, do you feel even stronger that this is what you want to do?" It occurred to Mouse in that moment she was apparently drawn to hanging out with Healers, considering at this time she would easily list Raj and Desiree as her closest friends - and both were interested in the same field. "Well, considering how competitive fashion is, for the time being I'm going to apply for pretty much anything so I have some coin to get an apartment and survive. But the plan is to apply to internships and whatever entry level I can find for fashion and... hope something sticks!"
She gave a nod, pushing her plate closer to Desiree so she didn't have to reach. "Absolutely!"

The men had something in common: their love for being a Hufflepuff. Adi immediately recognised the pride reflected on Minjae’s face; it was one he himself usually wore when talk came up of the Badger House. He grinned. “I hope you enjoyed your time there, as did your brother, even though Hogwarts can be dangerous at times.” He would never forget the year Acromantulas attacked the Castle, an event that saw him developing his fear of the arachnids.
That indeed would have been strange but you know what? Adi would not have given a second thought to it had Minjae had actually gone through with his thoughts. People being weird was something he loved! “Isn’t that the truth? Buuut I’m going to be biased and say because you’re a Hufflepuff as well, I can trust your recommendation fully! I promise that the next time I’m here, I’ll try it. I’m already thinking of bringing my family along.”
Ooh, excellent! His idea had been a good one! Adi couldn’t help but laugh heartily at Minjae’s brother’s words. “He’s hoping to be a famous author someday then? He’s going to remember these struggles when he’s rich and famous. Anyway, I would say a couple sessions of writing lessons per week and he can see how it goes from there. He can take more lessons or he’ll be hit hard by the creative bug that gets him a bestseller.”
Adi shook his head in amusement. “'Sir' makes me sound so old,’’ he remarked with a chuckle. “Call me Adi or I’m going to start calling you Mr. Yoon.” He meant that! “Yes, not to brag or anything but I was able to perfect it during my time at Hogwarts. It’s a coyote.” Adi took another swig of his drink. “Are you able to cast one?”

Nettie needed a midday coffee.
She usually got by with just her one cup of coffee a day, but her workload had increased this month with all the kids going back to school, and she'd fallen a little behind. Now that they were all BACK at school (which also served as a reminder to how old she was getting, YUCK) she could finally catch up on all the books that needed some TLC that she had seriously been neglecting.
After a long morning, she found herself at the coffee shop and decided to order a latte. Most days she got an espresso, but she didn't want to be up too late tonight. Ugh. Listen to her! Talking about not wanting to stay up all night thanks to caffeine, she really WAS getting old.
Sitting at one of the tables, she sighed and took a sip of her latte, pulling out her to do list and trying to plan her afternoon.

Likewise Bowie had a slight reliance on drinking coffee in order to keep himself awake. Working in the music industry meant keeping some rather odd hours and late nights were not uncommon. Last night he had been working in the studio with a young up and coming artist guiding them through the experience which took a lot longer than expected.
It was the reason he had descended down into Espresso Patronum for a large cappuccino (or two) before he started the process all over again that night. Despite the slight bags under his eyes, he was in good spirits as he greeted the servers with a friendly smile that met his bright blue eyes. His long blonde hair was tied up in a bun that bobbed along as he sauntered over to find a seat with his coffee in hand.
It had appeared however, with the children back at school and the adults taking advantage of the relative peace and quiet of an emptier street, that everyone and their mother had the exact same idea. Regretting not checking first or taking his coffee to go, he glanced around for a solo seater, his eyes settling on a lady on her lonesome. “It must be one of those mornings” he chuckled, approaching the table. “Do you mind if I sit?”

Nettie had JUST taken a sip of her coffee when someone approached her, so she wasn't able to speak right away but nodded as she wiped some of the foam off her lip, gesturing with her other hand at the empty seat. "Oh, not at all, have at it," she chuckled softly. Wow, they'd really made that latte the PERFECT temp today. Magic was so cool sometimes.
Was it one of those mornings? She chuckled. "More like it's going to be one of THOSE afternoons," she explained. "Trying to catch up on work now that the store isn't being bombarded with children every day," she added with a grin. "What about you?" she asked, gesturing to the coffee he had in his own hand.

Minjae's smile faded when Adi mentioned that Hogwarts could be dangerous at times and his hand was shaking slightly as he reached for his mug when he realized he had already drunk everything. Instead, he placed his shaking hand on his lap. "Yes, I did" He said it with a bright smile, though his eyes were a little sad at the moment. "Though, if I have to be honest, I spend more time playing games in the technology room than actually studying", the room he had been forced to destroy... Minjae shook his head and sat up straighter. He wasn't going to let these negative emotions ruin his good mood today.
"If you do bring your family, I recommend going on a Thursday because it is less crowded on that day" he stated. He was a little envious. He hoped to visit a cafe with his own family one day. And he wasn't talking about his parents or brother but about his own girlfriend and hopefully future children. Perhaps he should talk to her about the future one day because he could see himself spending the rest of his life with her. He could only hope she felt the same way.
Minjae let out a snort. He hadn't intended to laugh, but the idea of his brother becoming a famous author made him do so. "Oh no, I doubt he wants to be a writer," he said with another chuckle. "I believe he would simply enjoy the experience."
Although they were not celebrity famous, they were well-known in upper-class society. But the older he got, the less he wanted to show off his family's wealth. The nickname 'Rich Boy' that Claudine had called him at school still annoyed him when he remembered it."Speaking of jobs, can I ask what you do?" he questioned, hoping to steer the conversation in a different direction before saying something obnoxious.
He was actually used to be called Mr.Yoon. He'd been called that his whole life. At home, school, and now the workplace. "I actually think it makes you sound dignified" he said, shrugging his shoulders. "But if you prefer, I can call you Adi" he said before shifting his gaze to the wall of patronuses. "That's an amazing achievement" he said earnestly. "I was only able to do it once, but it was difficult to see what shape it took. It looked like something small though so my guess is that it was either a hedgehog or a bunny."

The woman agreed to Bowie’s request and so he sat in the seat opposite her after carefully placing his coffee down onto the table. “Thank you” he replied graciously, tucking his chair under so as to not take up too much space in the busy coffee shop.
It had seemed that his table companion had completely misconstrued what he meant when he said ‘one of those morning’ to mean exclusively her but she didn’t seem to be too offended by the apparent accusation and so the twenty-eight year old chuckled softly. “I meant in general. I’ve never seen this place so full.” Not during term time anyway but then again he didn’t frequent it that often. Bowie liked to vary his afternoon coffee breaks, it was about as much excitement as he could get out of the hour he allowed himself.
Now Bowie wasn’t a Ravenclaw but by process of deductive reasoning he established that this woman must work in one of the many stores of Diagon Alley if she was talking about the kids going back. “I daren’t even go here in the summer holidays. Too clumsy, would probably accidentally bowl over a small child.” He laughed. Sometimes his long blonde hair blew in front of his face and caused a hazard, sometimes he was just overly-excited about what he was doing and sometimes he was just extremely distracted. He’d been compared to a Golden Retriever on several occasions and it was likely accurate. “Just on my caffeine break from work.” He raised his coffee cup in a little ‘cheers’.

Adi hadn’t realised how much of an adverse effect his comment had on Minjae until it was too late. It was those eyes that gave it away; he came to the silent understanding that the other Hufflepuff most likely had suffered something traumatising during his time there. Adi hesitated, unsure of whether he should offer words of comfort or take Minjae’s cue and ignore it all. “That’s not a bad way to spend your time, honestly. Sometimes we need activities like that to help us… cope.” He let his statement hang while he polished off his drink.
There was a head tilt from him. “How do you know this? Do you come here that often?” There would have been advice offered on his part; he would have told Minjae to go all in with expressing his feelings to his girlfriend. Despite the outcome, Minjae would have an answer to his future in the love department. “I’m a Hippogriff breeder,’’ Adi responded as talk turned to his occupation. “I co-own a Hippogriff and Dragon Reserve with my husband. He’s the one who handles the Dragons.” Oh, yes. He almost forgot. “I also play professional Gobstones.”
Adi chuckled heartily. “Thank you but I do prefer ‘Adi’. I’ve been called that for so long that I find it weird to be called anything else.” Thoughts briefly returned to his sixth and seventh year at Hogwarts when he had buckled down and pushed himself, determined to do a proper Patronus. “All thanks to hard work,’’ the man replied modestly. “Have you thought of giving it another shot? Possibly the Charm will come more naturally to you now.”

Sun-kissed and rejuvenated from the summer break, Remy Gaeltheos was enjoying her time wandering around familiar parts of London as a newly qualified adult. While she was busy with her new schooling schedule, she was thrilled by the possibility to slip in a coffee break in between studying. Besides, she had only just started her next education venture, so it was just about settling in thus far. And settled in already, she was!!!!
The blonde felt a little bad for not making this date meet up happen sooner, but she had been busy sunning and travelling Italy with her big sister. She knew Atlas wouldn’t mind, and gosh, she was ever so excited to see him, secretly hoping he hadn’t replaced her as a best friend. Supposedly, they were too old for the BFF thing now. Not deep down.
Remy ordered a mocha and a bacon, brie and cranberry panini, before sitting down at a quiet corner of the cafe to wait for her friend.

Minjae appreciated Adi's words, but even more so that he didn't press any further. It was a subject he preferred not to discuss with anyone other than his therapist. "I had many friends to help me get through it all," he said, smiling genuinely.
There was a difference between occupying yourself with things to distract yourself and completely engulfing your entire existence by playing video games all night because you were afraid to sleep. On the plus side, he'd become a fantastic MMORPG guild leader as a result. A feat his parents were not grateful for at the time.
Minjae looked a bit confused as he noticed the head tilt, followed by the question about how he knew all of this. He thought it was obvious, but he guessed that to someone who didn't know him, he sounded more like a coffee addict who frequented this establishment. That wasn't far from the truth though. "Oh, I've worked here for a couple of years" he explained. "I worked part-time before starting at the Ministry. I'm now a spirit relocation officer," he added.
To be honest, he hadn't seen the 'hippogriff breeder' coming. "I had no idea hippogriffs and dragons could get along," he said. "Are they both in the same reserve or are they sectioned off?" He liked hippogriffs but didn't care much for dragons. To him, they were a bit scary. "Oh man, I'm terrible at Gobstones. I lost a lot while I was at school" he laughed. "Have you won many competitions?" He had to go to tournaments if he played professionally, right?
He shook his head. He hadn't tried the Patronus charm in a long time. But his life was coming together, and he could confidently state that he was happy these days. "I suppose I could try again" His happy memory from back then was of his best friend being accepted into residency to become a Healer. He wondered which thought he should use these days.
Daniel had arrived at the Patronum around five minutes before noon after hearing her last words. He didn't have another class until 3 p.m., so he could easily apparate to the cafe and get some lunch.
He entered the building and made his order at the counter (a cappuccino and a Bacon, Brie, and Cranberry Panini) before walking over to a window seat with his tray in hand. He sat down and placed it on the table before waiting for her.

Victoria hadn’t been back to Diagon in quite some time. She had avoided it over the summer due to the massive amount of Hogwarts students that might be there. She hadn’t even accompanied Roman here when he had begged her; call her heartless, but she hadn’t wanted to deal with it. She had a thousand other more important things on her mind. She arrived exactly at noon, and she waved at Daniel with a small little smirk before placing her own order. She would get some sort of salad, most likely. Oh, and a tea.
Once her order was placed, she met Daniel at the window table he had picked and went to hug him. She knew he would be flustered, and she did it anyway. Heh. “How are you, Daniel?! How is Uni going so far?”

The window seat was a great place to watch people walk by outside, and he saw Victoria enter through the door at exactly noon on his watch. He caught her wave but pretended not to notice by sipping his cappuccino. Daniel placed the cup back on the table after it burned his tongue.
If she thought her hug would make him flustered, she was... correct. People didn't often hug him because he had an aura around him that had a 'stay away from me' vibe, but he let Victoria do it. His ears were the only parts of his body that turned red as he waited for her to sit. "I have nothing to complain about." Even if he pretended not to care, he had a good time with his family during the summer. They had taken a vacation to Seychelles, and when he returned, he began his wandless magic classes with his mentor. Though now that Hogwarts had started again he could only correspond with Professor Khanna with post owls. "Classes are difficult but manageable" he said as he looked down at her tray. A salad and tea. The complete opposite of what he had bought. "How are you these days?"
