The Sorting is Open
 

The Sorting Hat for the Spring SnitchSeeker Hogwarts term has NOW opened and will close on April 3rd at 12:01am EST.

The Rules:

1) You must be a registered member of Snitchseeker.com. To sign up, Register here.

2) You must be in the "Members" usergroup. That means you need to have at least 10 legitimate, non-spam posts (any spam will be deleted by the mods and will NOT count toward your 10 posts) in the Newbie Hut or News forum. (Note: once you have achieved your 10 posts, it may take up to half an hour for your usergroup to change so, please be patient).

3) You may only be sorted once so, do not attempt to submit to be sorted if you are already in a house.

4) Please be courteous to our sorting staff and do not pester them as to when you will be sorted. We have hundreds of people submit to be sorted every term and we sort each and every person individually, by hand (we do not have an automated system). You will receive a PM shortly after you are sorted, although it may take up to a day after you've seen your usergroup change for it to show up.

5) We try hard to be fair and place people into appropriate houses. Please do not whine, complain, send us hate mail or beg us to change your house. (We can't sort everyone into Gryffindor). Sorting Hat decisions are final.

6) Have fun!!! We look forward to seeing new faces in the School RP!!!

this is so AWSOME!!!!!!! we get more huffies :huff: ........hopefully there are some quidditch players that get sorted into hufflepuff, we need to start winning at VQ

above nearly every thread (not this one though) there is an announcement saying that the sorting is open, follow the link in the announcement and you should be fine.

as far as I know, you will be sorted automatically when you have made 10 postings.
So. When you already have 10 postings you only have to wait until you get sorted. Am I right?

I really hope to be sorted into either Gryffindor House or Ravenclaw House, I guess I wouldn't mind Hufflepuff oh well wish me good luck!

Im finally a member YES now im going to get sorted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first post in there it says Quiz and its a link and you click it and it takes you to the quiz.

First, you need 10 legitimate posts in the Newbie Hut and/or the News. Shortly after, you will become a Member (give this process up to a couple of hours). After you are in the Member group, you may go to the sorting hat to take the quiz. The link is on the first post of this thread.


A note to all: Please remember to be patient. Sorting is done indivdually by Admins and can take a bit of time depending on availability. Rest assured you will be sorted and that the Admin is putting thought into your application. Please don't post repeatedly about how long it is taking. Thanks and good luck! :)

haha I was hoping for either Slytherin or Ravenclaw. 'Tis good. Can't wait to "meet" new people at Hogwarts!

it can take, so i've read, anywhere between a few hours to a day or two to be sorted, depending on volume and how many mods are available to sort. i'm sure they're sorting us with all haste. i took the quiz almost as soon as it was possible so i got sorted within a an hour or so. it might take a little longer as applications pile up. atleast that's my guess.

I just took my quiz. I know that it's going to take a while to be sorted. I'd like to know where I find out what House I'm in, though. Is it in an email? Someone please answer me if you know. I'm really nervous.

i didn't get an email or a pm or anything, my username just turned a darker blue and i checked my profile, it had a little banner saying RAVENCLAW beneath it. which is weird cause i thought i read we would get a pm saying which house we were sorted into.

A PM is a private message. Scroll to the top of your page and it shows how many you have on the right. It should say "Welcome (your user name)

thank you again. I feel stupid not knowing anything. That's a really cool birthday to have. Although I don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day because my favorite dog was killed that day when I was in elementary school. Sorry for just telling that story. Lol. I'm blabbing. also rebecca potter, two of your posts are likely to get deleted. posting twice much less three times in a row is not generally allowed. and when your posts are deleted, your post count will go down.

Haha for real. Us Hufflepuff's are way cool. lol.

And, hey, if you're staying online & waiting for your results- it takes a few hours at least and a couple of days at most to know what house you'll be in. There's over 4,000 memebers, so you have to imagine that they're a little busy. You'll get a PM [Private Message] & you check those by looking in the top right corner of your screen where it will say
"Welcome, yourscreennamehere

Or someting along those lines. You might have to scroll over.

Aaaahhhhh! This whole waiting thing is so difficult! I occupied myself for a while looking for a beautiful picture of Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood) and there it is! Wow!! Would you just look at him? You huffies sound pretty fun actually. I wasn't wanting hufflepuff at first but you all sound so nice and familyish and now I kinda want to be a huffie with you. Oh, I just want to know so bad!! I've written like five hundred times about this!

Huffies rule we are fun because we can be bad good evil and so on heeheee comejoin the fun
