An exciting new Fan Art Contest is sweeping across the SnitchSeeker community!!
We’ve decided to create an
SS Calendar to be available for purchase and made up of artwork and graphics by our members. We need twelve images for the calendar so, we’re calling all artists and graphics makers, from the inexperienced first-timers to aspiring professionals and everyone in between. All the details for the contest can be found here and in the official
SnitchSeeker 2007 Calendar FanArt Contest.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the funds to award all the winners with calendars so, the prize for the winning entries will be publishing of their work on the calendar as well as a siggy, avatar and/or title.
There are twelve different categories to which you can submit your scanned or computer artwork. Each artist is encouraged to submit one entry per category for a total of twelve possible entries per artist. The winners from each category will be the images used for the twelve months of the calendar which will be available for members to purchase.
Winners will be chosen via anonymous vote by the membership. All members are encouraged to submit their work and vote (site staff and unsorted members, included). Please don’t think you need to be Monet to submit a graphic or two, or three, or twelve. No names will be used for the voting so that everyone will be on equal footing and we would love to see entries from people of all abilities (or inabilities, as the case may be
). Now, down to the nitty gritty:

Please PM Biochemkris if you have any questions regarding any of these rules or guidelines. Scoring
In order to create a well-rounded calendar with work from different members, we are restricting the number of categories an artist can win depending upon the number of entries we receive. If an artist wins in more than determined number of categories, we will determine which categories for which they received the most votes and those will be the categories they win. The runner(s)-up will be announced as the winners of the other categories.
For example: Based on the number of entries we receive we determine that an artist can win in a maximum of two categories. Bob wins in categories A, B, C, and D. In category A he gets 5 votes, B he gets 12 votes, C he gets 7 votes, and D he gets 10 votes. So, his artwork in categories B and D will win and the runners-up in A and C will move up to first place.
In the event we do not receive any entries for a given category, we will choose from amongst the runners-up of the other categories in order to bring the total number of graphics to twelve.
