You've been asking and we've been wanting to make it so we could select a default post color for our posts without having to code them every time. Well, we've gone one step further and now you can not only use any color you want but, you can choose what font to use, too!!
This is a bit of a change from what you may have noticed earlier today where I had a defined set of colors to use. Thanks to Jan for testing out what happens if a member puts in an invalid code/color name or forgets the # before a hex code, we can now allow you to pick any color of your choosing. With hex codes at your disposal your color choices are limitless. Don't know what a hex code is? No problem! Just go ahead and use your favorite color names. Make sure you don't use spaces and if your color turns up black, just try another color name because the one you picked might not be valid.
Here's one of my favorite sites for quickly grabbing a color name or color.
To change your default font and color options go to your
User CP and click on
Edit profile Edit Options. The options for post color and post font are the second and third options on that screen. Click 'Save Changes' and voila! Any post you've written where you haven't specified a specific font and/or color will now display using the values you set in your profile.
Have fun!!
UPDATE: We've moved the option from 'Edit Profile' to 'Edit Options' as it makes more sense to put it there and I'm not sure why I put it in 'Edit Profile' in the first place.
