The date of the breakout is September 24 and everything else you see regarding the escapees popping up elsewhere in the RPGs is happening on the same day. That evening Charles, Minister for Magic, would have given a “state of address” over the WWN (this is also something I intend on writing out properly and you will know it when you see it!).
I cannot tell you too much without spoilers, but for those with concerns about Hogwarts safety please keep in mind that Hogwarts is unplottable and cannot be found. It is quite literally the safest place for kiddos to be (something that would be addressed by the Minister in his state of address). Furthermore, if you do your stalking, you will see that these prisoners are somewhat easily apprehended and it would be made clear that within a week following the initial breakout that the wizarding world is not overrun with escapees and MLE is doing it's job (and still searching for it's missing department head, oops). Stragglers here and there, certainly, but no mass hysteria. This by no means lowers the current stakes of any RPs in Diagon Alley 
Of course real time RPing and IC time do not move hand in hand perfectly as IC is considerably faster, so while it is perfectly fine for future TLs in the RP (as we move into IC October) to be aware of these events we do ask that you suspend belief to a small degree in favor of allowing these RPs to run their natural course and evolve organically. There will be an officially Daily Prophet article in the near future which will give you and your characters all the IC information necessary, so be on the look out for that!
