Default Night adventures?

I read that this was the place to post new ideas for the school, plotwise and otherwise.

So I was thinking about this for some time now: Placing official "night" times on the school. As far as I can see, it is always day. That makes sense because of course students are sleeping at this time, so basically it would seem like this would be a pause in the roleplay.

But there are two things that could be done to get rid of that problem: Having these night zones come only once every couple of weeks or so, and leaving every place still open to be posted in.

First one: IF the school had night times, then it wouldn't make sense to literally have them every day. It would be too much work to keep remembering if it is day or night and it would probably be hard to constantly edit post in the starting topic for day or night. And besides, there are people from every time zone in the world here at Snitchseeker, so it wouldn't make sense to have a twelve hour night every day in the roleplay. Instead, perhaps this could be done once every couple of weeks, or even once a month. There are people living in different time zones, so you could have each night last 76 hours, the time of a normal class.

Second: The Common Rooms would be the place where most students would probably want to be, as students aren't allowed to wander at night. However, prefects could patrol during this time, and of course some mischievous students might wander.(And the Harry Potter's in the roleplay) This handles the problem of nothing to do.

So...why do I think this would be a good idea? Because think of how many of Harry's adventures happen at night. Lots of stuff could happen at night, and since there are only a few months in a term, you would end up only having to worry about it a few times each term if you have one every month.

What do you think?

The easiest way to get around times is simply by posting that your character is out at night. To make sure that nobody misses it and its clear you are playing on a different timeline, you can title your post that its night, or midnight etc.

Be prepared though, your character might just get snapped by a prefect or a professor on patrol, I have seen this happen and its always interesting.

Come to think of it, that probabaly makes the most sense. That way you don't have to wait for a certain day to play at night.

i remember when i was a noob back in the day when RPers would post that their charries were sneaking around the castle at night/ when everybody is in bed/ in class et al and the Prefects and Professors would catch them and have a field day like Tegz said its interesting reading to say the least, but IIRC it would almost always result in a point loss/ detention.
