Yes, within reason. Just make sure that your duel is not breaking any SS rules and keep in mind that law enforcement may or may not step in and your character will have to pay the consequences for their actions

Hey, I was wondering about the money system, if there was one, as my character is buying all her first year stuff. Does everyone have a set amount of money at the beginning? Or can we not buy stuff until we set up an account at gringotts?

In short, no there's no 'set amount of money'. The wealthiness of your character is completely up to you.

Also, you don't have to set up an account at Gringotts. Nor do you have to roleplay there in order for your character to have money. You can simply roleplay with your character having however much money he/she needs when paying. We do encourage roleplaying at Gringotts, though, as it gives you an opportunity to interact with more characters and enhance your roleplaying experience.

In the end, it's completely your decision.

I'm rp-ing in Ollivanders at the moment, but is it also possible to RP, let's say, in the Magical Menangerie, if we act as if it was before/after the previous event. Or do we need to Rp in one place only, until our character moves on?

There is something I always wondered. On the school supplies list you list all clothes except shoes. Does this mine that my character can wear her black buckled boots?

According to HP canon, students wear their own shoes and socks and are not an "official" part of the uniform. That being said, their is Hogwarts dress code that professors will enforce during their lessons. For example, if a professor asks for you to arrive in comfortable shoes and you arrive in heels, there will most likely be a punishment for this.

So, can they wear those shoes? The simple answer is yes

Can I RP as two people in one post?

You are allowed to RP two characters in one post. Just remember to differentiate the text of each character by changing the color, and to interact with other members and not just play with yourself.

Dear Rp mods can i get a Letter from hogwards pls?
I dident read the history of hogwards jet to get ooc knowlage = char knowlage of the timegap since HP . So nt knowing of any wzardry wrld(as a Mugleborn) I cant just go to the train(i dont know of him nor can i make myself a letter as i have no knolage of this new updated world.

I believe you already have an answer on this matter from Cassirin: the Hogwarts letter your RPG character would receive is the same as the one Harry Potter, from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, received. So if you need to reference that letter for whatever reason, go look for it in the first Harry Potter book.

As for 'knowledge of this updated world,' you should read the SS RPG's Hogwarts, a History. It lists all of the plot events that have taken place since SnitchSeeker started an RPG and also lists all of the current staff and prefects.

See I received this letter, and i read it. Now even if i don't think it is a prank, where do i get all this books and the cauldron etc. Cassarin told me that there is no personal visiting to explain it anymore. How do i get to diagonally when i don't know of the existence of diagone ally? Just imagine me, a 11 year old boy in Russia(my dads a Englishman thats why im enrolled in Hogwarts) in the middle of the far east tundra(Siberia), where he lives, with a letter: welcome to a wizardry school get yourself a cauldron you can bring a rat see you in Hogwarts. We can discuss this in pm if you like i don't want to fight or annoy you i just cant build a logical bridge here(witch is vital to a RP imho)

Really you'll just have to figure out a way yourself, to choose how your character finds out etc. You'll have to figure out another backstory for your character if what you've got so far won't work -everyone else manages just fine, and we have hundreds of new members joining the RP for the first time every single year.

I think you'll find it easier if your character at least already lives in England, rather than Russia, even if they ARE Russian. Because personally I can't see why a student in that situation would be contacted by Hogwarts over Durmstrang.

Basically you need to find a way to fit our RPG world, not the other way around.

edit: additionally, the 'where to buy' stuff is a moot point now, as DA is closed to students, the Hogwarts Express has arrived at Hogsmeade, and the students are now at the Opening feast for the term.

So i will poisen my ooc knowlage with knowlage now, well ok. anyways, i think this is a flaw in the logic so you(we) should considre it to be closed somehow.
E.g. you could send a magical creature or a spell with the letter, who explains these to new children

I'm glad you're excited to join in, but the point is that YOU can say how they found out. You shouldn't rely on others to create your story for you; so if you wanted something to be sent for YOUR character - a spell, or someone from the ministry of magic perhaps? You can make that up yourself.

Good luck with that, and don't forget to add your character details to your profile before joining in the school RPG, so that your character's name and other information shows up underneath your username and avatar!
