I was also wondering, when I took the quiz to see what wand I get. How do I know my results?

After you take the quiz, you've to RP the character you took the quiz for in the same thread.

After, or before taking the quiz, you have to RP with the Ollivander's trying out different wands. They'll reply with your results.

Are you talking about RPing with the shopkeepers in Ollivander's? Those ladies are doing their best to get to all of you, but there ARE a lot of you, and it does take some time to sort through all the wand quizzes. Not to mention they have other SS responsibilities and RL.

Same goes for all the shopkeepers.

Just have a bit of patience. If they don't get to you within a few days then just send them a PM.

I have a quick question! It says on the supply lists that other pets/familiars are allowed on a case by case basis.. Who may I ask about possibly bringing along a ball python for my pet? Thanks a bunch!

I've been asking myself this question for a while. I don't know whether I should ask in the MoM OOC or DA OOC. But what's exactly The Cult of Walpurgis?

You really need to get active in our department the answer to this question is given by my charrie in detail.

Short answer is the Cult of Walpurgis is a political group which splintered off from the Knights of Walpurgis (which became Death Eaters) The Cult didn't want to take that violent approach towards non-wizards, but always had the same goal of protecting wizardkind. They're also environmentalists. They don't believe wizardkind should have to hide from muggles. The cult as a whole aren't 'bad' but there are definitely some bad, powerful individuals in the mix.

They've been active now for the past three years, and have infiltrated the Ministry of Magic and run the show ever since Minister Carlton got mysteriously ill.

Thats just a brief answer for you, to find out more you'll need to get more involved in the plot and stalk some old stuff

I am not familiar with the situation here because I am a new member. So I want to ask that if I have bought the books already, I could see and use them when I have lessons at Hogwarts right?

They aren't real books so its about you using your imagination when you get to Hogwarts. The supply list is just a fun little RP tool, to give people something to do in Diagon Alley and some practice at RPing. Once you're character gets to Hogwarts, could easily RP your character reading their books or struggling with them to get them all the way to their common room (if they aren't old enough to be able to levitate or lighten them)

No, you do not have to necessarily finish in one shop before moving on to another. Feel free to post in as many places/RPs as you like (we call it cloning, and the main thing to remember when you do that is to remember everywhere you have RPs going with the character. *nods*)

You just pretend that you already have money. However, keep in mind that students will usually bring nothing over 100 galleons.

I want to ask that if I have bought an owl from the Eyelops Owl Emporium, could I possibly see an owl icon on my profile like some of you do?

Are you referring to the one's with the numbers beside them under our school charrie's names? Those aren't for buying owls, they are for taking the OWL examination your school charater's fifth year. And the one beside them are for NEWTs.

You only receive them after passing an OWL or NEWT. (i.e. I just took the OWLs so I got and icon, and I'll get a NEWT icon when I take those exams next term)

Actually no, the two have nothing to do with each other. You see SS is one of the unique sites that has our own OWL and NEWT exams that are held at the end of each term for characters old enough to take them. When they and their rpers do so they are graded and how ever many are passed is the number that appears next to the image.

For example when I took the OWLS a few terms back I recieved 7 of them and just recieved 4 NEWTS for my exams last term. Hope that helps.

I was wondering how do you become a shopkeeper?

Shopkeepers and their assistants are usually asked by the mods of the site. It's not something you really apply for. It's a leadership role of sorts and a huge honour to be asked.

You would need to be asked to be a shopkeeper by the moderators of the Diagon Alley rp. They chose from the active, responsible and helpful rpers to help insure the whole DA experience is the most fun for everyone it can be.

I have question.
The Wand quizz is now over and I didn't get to do it. Can I make up one wand up and when the quizz opens again, change my wand or do I keep that one?
Also, if I make one up, can I still RP on the Ollivander's shop? (i kind of already did? omg i'm a noob)

You absolutely can make it up. The reason we closed it is because the sorting period is almost over, and DA will be closed to students very soon, so anyone who takes it now would not be responded to in the shop in time, as there is still a backlog waiting and the shopkeepers are doing their best to catch up.

You can keep any wand you make up, I tend to make my own up too, and you can find a lot of information about wand cores and woods through google if you want to try to make one to match your character's personality.

You can still RP in the shop but you may not get to RP much, as I said, there is a backlog (unprecedented number of new members due to pottermore!)

Have fun making up a wand, and look out for the hogwarts express, due to open soon.

I'll try to make one of my own (although I'm not very good, Google will have to help me so much lol).
