Tired of the same Harry Potter T-shirts? Wish there was something a bit more tailored to show off your curves, ladies? Maybe a dress? How about leggings? Yes, LEGGINGS! It's true - there is now a real Harry Potter designed apparel line.
Black Milk Clothing has released a new collection inspired by the Harry Potter films. From dresses to leggings to swimsuits, the
Hogwarts collection features stunning artwork direct from the Potter world.
Yes they are a bit pricey - items range from $60 to $100 AUD (slightly less in USD, but then there's shipping so ..). But they are very high quality, durable and have genuine Harry Potter designs on clothing that you will NOT find anywhere else. Trust us, we know every Harry Potter item out there - and these pieces are truly unique. And the best part is, they're available in sizes that fit most body types.
SnitchSeeker recently got the opportunity to take a firsthand look at some of the amazing fashions.
We absolutely love the leggings from the Hogwarts line. They feel amazingly comfortable and soft, yet work as a great slimming/smooth control base. They stay up and in place and have just the right amount of control. The leggings can be worn under dresses, skirts or long shirts. Best of all, they work well with heels or flats - and look great with boots, too!
In addition to being well-made, due to the awesome Harry Potter prints, the leggings are super chic. The fabric has an expensive feel to it. It is thick enough so you can’t see through it, so no worries about showing off your panties to anyone walking behind you. These leggings can be worn anywhere – for work, school or for going out. (Got stopped while wearing the lovely blue Patronus leggings and was asked to explain which Patronus image belonged to each Harry Potter character.)
The only drawback … you’ve got to hand wash them. You wouldn’t want to risk them getting snagged on any hooks or zippers from other garments in the laundry. After several washes, though, we're happy to report they’re still fade free.
The Slytherin Shooter dress is the first jersey released from the Harry Potter series and it is incredible - the mesh, the design, even the "Malfoy" on the back. Not a big fan of the Malfoys, but one can appreciate that three of the four House jerseys do have Hogwarts Quidditch team Seekers' names on them (Potter for Gryffindor, Diggory for Hufflepuff, Malfoy for Slytherin ... bit strange there was no Chang for Ravenclaw), so it is consistent in that matter. Plus the Quidditch robes in the latter half of the series do have the characters' names on them (Potter and Malfoy, for example), so no complaint there.
While the jersey is admittedly a bit see-through, a simple white shirt underneath it should take care of any unflattering or expository situations. Since there are jerseys available for each of the houses, fans don't have a reason to grumble that their favourite might be missing. A great fit, and a must have - personally can't wait to wear it at the Harry Potter theme park next year!
