For a film based on a serious event - that of one child assaulting another in a park and their parents' reactions and repercussions as a result - Carnage was surprisingly hilarious, given such an awkward situation, and found myself impressed by the constant turn of events. All four actors worked so well off each other, especially as they were meant to despise each other - even the spouses.
I expected something a lot more dramatic for a Polanski film, especially starring the likes of Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet, but was glad to see their comedic chops in full-flow. The pacing of the story itself was a bit tedious and slow, but the hilarity made up for it.
