Special effects were great... especially the end with Voldemort and Dumbledore.. And Umbridge got what she deserved... 10/10.. |
Amazing xxxxxxxxx |
I loved the movie, i think a couple of things could have been a little bit better, but of course it's like that in all moives. Harry Potter-- Hottest in the movie. Did an amzaing job, I could feel all the emotions he gave as if it were happening to me. I think he has definately improved acting wise. Pretty soon he'll be the next oscar award winner... LOL Hermione Granger-- I think she is beautiful and i wish i were her. I think that her acting career has also improved. she always plays the good girl in the movie and is very supportive. I think that she will get the most acting careers outside of Harry Potter. Ronald Weasley--He is as hott as fire. Ron is a very unique actor, but i don't see him doing much more in the acting industry. Of course..... if i were a movie director, i would hire him.... LOL!!!!!!!! Things i loved *Everything. Disliked *the length of the movie, i wish it would haev been longer *the fact that sirius died, I reccomend that you see the movie if you haven't yet. |
Well I went to see it three times at the cinema so I must have liked it. Pros: 1. Evanna Lynch. She was cast really well and I cant believe how much like Luna she really is. 2. The rest of the casting. Unfortunatly I have quite a few Cons Cons: 1. The amount of thigs they missed out. It was rediculous. I know they cant put everything from such a long book into a 2:30hr long film but they missed some really important stuff out. 2. The Prophercy. They did it all wrong. It didnt show you all the prophercy and they didnt hear it in the right place. Only Dumbledore and Harry were meant to hear the Prophercy because it smashed before anyone could hear it. 3. I cant help thinking that it would have been so much better s a rated 15. They missed out so much action from the Department of Mysteries scene. That was one of my favorite chapters in the entire series becasue of the amount of action in there. They were all meant to get stunned and Hermione nearly dies and Ron gets attacked by the brain. I cant beleive they missed it all out. I give the film *** 7/10 |
I give it a 6/10 because of one thing, the director. The movie does not go by the book and he added his own stuff in. The book had alot about Umbridge but not as much as the director put in. Didn't like it one bit. It could've been better. |
i would say 7/10 i absolutely dissapointed with this movie ! they cutted out some of the scene in the book and it was important scene ! they cutte out the scene that Dumbledore told Harry the truth ! it was important scene ! hope the next film won't be dissapointed like this.thank you ! |
I watched the movie and i loved it! i would say a 9/10. |
Order of the Phoenix get two thumbs up from me (a 10). I love the movie and the new creatures and the graphix. I was hoping it would do the book justice but I loved it. |
I give it about 6/10. Any movie featuring Cho and that kiss is bound to be marked low by me. I also hated the lack of Ginny, and the fact that the scenes between Ginny and Harry in the book, were cut out. I didn't like Luna! They normalised her and to me it seemed as if they were hinting that she was the future love interest for Harry. I resented that Ginny's moments got cut and Luna's were expanded. Luna never mentioned Snorkacks or Conspiracy theories. I still detest Hermione, especially as she introduced Luna (stole Ginny's role), noticed the scars on Harry's hand (stole Ron's role) and was the only one to see Harry collapsing at the Twins' exit. Now what I did like; Ron! So much more Canon than in PoA and GoF. His defense of Harry to Seamus was great! Pity there was not more of him. Harry- He was good! Better than the previous movies. Fred and George- That exit! My favourite scene! Neville- Brilliant! Sirius, the Weasley parents, Grimmauld Place, Snape, Umbridge all pleased me. On the whole, I would have prefered a longer movie with less cut out. |
Overalla I thought the movie was pretty rubbish compared to the book. Hated- That Ron never hid the fact he was trying out for Quidditch in the movie. That there wasn't the Sirius/Snape fight scene in the movie. Cho and Harry's kiss was just horrible. They didn't include alot of Luna's bits. They missed out the best parts of the book. Loved- Fred and George all the way through Luna! The way Umbridge acted. Imelda played her well. The Grawp scene. Some of the ministry fight scene. |
I voted "Good", because I liked it better than PoA and GoF, but I agree there was so much left out that I wanted to see. Mostly, I wanted more of Ginny, especially her scenes with Harry like "Lucky You!" and "Chocolate in the Library". I didn't like the fact that, to me, they normalized Luna and she didn't mention Snorkacks. Hermione and Ron were better that the previous 2 movies, but Hermione was still line and scene-stealing. (The marks on Harry's hand). I hope HBP is better, but after hearing that Harry and Ginny's Common Room kiss has been cut, I am not so sure. |
It was good and I loved Umbridge. She was played perfectly. |
i like so much the 5th movie....because the blattle is amazing...and waw..the death of sirius...it's great... |
Yeah, it's old now but I never wrote my review here so here goes... Let me say up front: I REALLY LOATHED THIS FILM! Yes, I actually hated it when I saw it in theaters. The first (and hopefully only) Potter film I couldn't stand at all. I still *almost* hate it, but now I can maybe say I strongly dislike it, as I do see some redeeming parts and even some quite excellent scenes. Overall, I rate it 2 stars on this thread. I almost gave up watching the films because of this. I will not see HBP in theaters but I may go see Deathly Hallows, since it will be in two parts it gives me hope they will stick closer to the book. I have enjoyed all the films up till this one which made it all the more disappointing. I'm sure you've heard the complaints before, but here they are: Basically it all boils down to a totally shabby translation of the book. Bad, cartoony lines. Horrible set design (Ministry of Magic!). And WAY too much important stuff (mostly towards the end) cut out. Inexcusable. It could be mostly the new writer's fault but I don't care who to blame, it still sucks. On the good side, the acting was (as always) top notch and Imelda Stanton as Umbridge was especially terrific! I wish I could have liked it more. :( |
The 5th one was good, but not brilliant....i mean there are some stuff that i think that they could had put in. However, it's like at the end, they rush everything in. But overall, it was good and it is really based on the Order of Phoenix unlike the sixth one. Is it the same director, David Yates? |
It was good. Least fav of all the HP movies, but it is still good. But Of course i still watched it over and over again! xD And the next movie(HBP) is better |
Q: What do you think of the 5th movie? Good or bad? A: I rated that it was good. Which I thought it was. I thought it was a little dark for my tastes (I like funny, upbeat movies :)) Q: Would you watch it over and over again? A: I would watch it again. Q: And how is it compared to the rest? A: I think it was pretty good, but personally, I like the 6th movie better and I don't know about the 7th (since it has yet to come out yet). Q: Do you you think the next one will be better? A: I personally thought the 6th one was better but I think the 7th is going to be awesome!! :) |
I think it's too boring, it misses the "magic", I have seen it twice and no more! The book is wonderful, as always, but this movie is the worst of them all! I want to turn it off after five minutes, the only good part is in the end at the Ministry. |
Great, 10 out of 10 |
10 out of 10 |
Beautiful, 10 out of 10. |
i loved the way george and fred threw a fantastic explosion! |
My stupid self watched the movie before I read the book, something I really regret! :stupid: Anywhoo. Pros: -That scene when Fred & George leave Hogwarts - Absolute brilliance! -The casting of Dolores Umbridge. Imelda did an incredibly great job with the role! -The casting of Tonks. In my opinion, Natalia really suited the role. -When Umbridge is questioning Snape... The expression that Snape has is brilliant and incredibly snape-like! -Casting of Bellatrix! Helena does a brilliant job of playing a Voldy-crazed witch Cons: -The real lack of similarity with the book, Yes, we know that the book is as thick as a brick, but some stupid scenes were added in and A LOT of important things were placed in the bin. -The real lack of continuation within the Black Tapestry was really disappointing. They all should of all looked life-like (like Bellatrix's) or all looked the same (like the rest) -No Fawkes in the ending duel with Voldemort and Dumbledore! As I recollect, Fawkes in the book swallows a killing curse, which means he dies, and gets reborn again! -Having a single movie for it. How could they say they were considering a second movie for GOF when to me, they had a lot of similarities with the book. OotP could have done with two movies. -The movie could of done with the Screaming Portrait of Sirius' Mother, Walburga, in 12 Grimmalud Place I give it 6/10 altogether |
I really enjoyed this one!! The best bits were -When Fred and Geroge play around with the fireworks -When dudley gets kissed by the dementors! 10 out of 10 |
I loooooove this movie. 10 out of 10. Hands down a great movie. I hated Harry and Cho tho. GROSS. The rest of the movie was good tho! |
