Default Grimoire (Black Book of Potions)

Next to the counter, stands a tall pedestal. On it is a very ancient book: a grimoire or a black book of potions. It was put there by the former shopkeeper, Abraham, who has dedicated his life to sharing knowledge. The book is made of strong, dark brown leather. A simple silver fastener is attached the side of the book to keep the book firmly closed; but not locked. In order to ensure that no one would destroy or steal, a series of spells were put upon it. Everyone is welcome to consult it. No customer should expect anything from within it.

If a customer opens it, he or she will notice that everything has been handwritten. Abraham had taken a great deal of time putting this together and each subsequent shopkeeper including Nigel has painstakenly taking care to continue the tradition. Feel free to chat about what you read and take some notes.

"Yeah it is. I have seen it a million times," she responded as she moved past Noelle and started to look at the book. Was their conversation over now? I mean... probably, right?
Dora's tone and just... aura made Noelle roll her eyes as she stepped backward to let the other Gryffindor pass. She just watched her, wanting to do more than just watch. It was unlike her to have thoughts of wanting to trip someone or take that book and run just to keep it from her, but here she was.. having them. Petty. Noelle breathed out in an attempt to suppress the pettiness.

Noelle shook her head. "Well good for you." She let slip about the 'seen it a million times' bit. She turned on her heel and headed for another aisle, not really wanting to be around her.

To be honest, Noelle did feel bad.. or used to. She'd been going through a lot with the dungeon days and such a while back and really did let Dora and hers friendship drop. She'd apologized numerous times to no prevail. But... there were always two sides to every story. She'd tried being polite but most of the time, she was just ignored.

Noelle pursed her lips as she grabbed some potions that she needed as well as some different ingredients before heading back up to the front... right by the book and her... to check the things out. She'd let herself calm down just a bit. She waited at the counter for some assistance. "Find what you were looking for?" Noelle asked even though it looked like she was talking to the wall when she was really talking to Dora. She .... wanted totry to make things somewhat better, at least give it one more shot.

See that was where most people got it wrong. It wasn't a /tone/ of disrespect or snark that Dora used... it was merely the regular tone if her voice. RBV if you will. And all the eye rolling and ill thoughts in the world would EVER make Dora change. She was unapologetically herself.

As she listened to the other girl walk away she chewed her lip a bit. She couldn't remember Noelle apologizing... all she could remember was being abandoned for that dreadful Ava. Ava was mean and hateful and Dora couldn't stand her. Ugh. And by extension it had made it harder and harder to come back to a place of peace with Noelle. Not to mention how they had all made her feel during the IMPS... like she was the outcast. But that was over. Whatever. No bitter feelings there. Ahem.

The blonde heard the footsteps reapproaching and stood a bit straighter. If Noelle had been angry because Dora had spoken the truth well then that was HER fault, wasn't it? Also... she was unaware of any of it as she committed a certain potion to memory inside the book.

"Yeah, I did." She turned to look at the girl for a moment, considering her, "Did you? "
