| Lower Floors From the entrance hall down to the depths of the dungeons, there is much to explore in the lower floors of this historic castle. Don't mind the rats you may stumble upon the further down you go, their minding their business like anyone else. |

| | Entrance Hall Whether you are brand new to Hogwarts or have been here a while, the Entrance Hall is always a breath-taking sight to see. Always memorable are the high ceilings, the colourful portraits on the walls, and the grand marble staircase. Various torches light the large room, keeping it nice and cozy at all times of the year. Arched windows atop the staircase, featuring the four Hogwarts Founders in all of their glory, bring in natural lighting as well.
This room branches off to the rest of the castle. If you are standing by the enormous oak doors and the House hourglasses, to the right are the doors that lead to the Great Hall. Next to them are doors that will reveal a broom cupboard and the basement corridor. Opposite is a door to a stairwell that will take you do the dungeons and another that will take you down a corridor where the staff room and other rooms can be found. Going up the marble staircase will take you to a corridor that connects to the moving staircase chamber. There is a lot to see here, so take your time exploring!

Hogwarts RPG Name: Addyson Lynette Dane Ravenclaw First Year | Kristin / Cuz! Slytherindor ♛ The Crazytastic Besties ♛ Shan Watson ♛
Addyson had yet to admit it but she was slightly jealous that Tal had ended up in the same house as one of their cousins. At least, Zephyr was in her house. However, it would have been nice to have a female relative (like Arienne) in her house so if she needed to ask some questions of a cool, older student - then it would be fine. Fortunately, she had met Lily so she had found someone to ask.
Still Addyson wanted to run into her cousin so she sat on the bottom of the staircase in the Entrance Hall with her eyes glued between the Great Hall and the other entrances. This was the perfect spot to watch for her cousin.

This was the perfect spot to watch for her cousin. She was no longer the only one in her family here at Hogwarts. It was interesting to Arienne to think about that. It was like she was the leader, the original. The fact she hadn’t thought of it two terms ago when the twins had started wasn’t important. Not that her brothers weren’t important, and that she hadn’t been concerned that they would get through their first and second years unscathed. She absolutely had been, whether or not they had liked knowing she’d been worried about them. But now, the Dane triplets were here, and it was that much more of a thing. So to speak. Probably because Tal had been sorted into Hufflepuff as well, but there had been thoughts as to if the girls were doing well too. Amongst her own general worries about her own situation. Exams looming and everything else. Classes and, well, other things.
She had stopped off in the kitchens for a snack after her latest lesson, and it was upon leaving with some shortbread in her hand that she’d seen Addyson on the steps. Odds were, the younger girl was waiting for someone else, but she had still walked closer. “What’s up?”, she asked, taking a seat next to her and offering a biscuit.
