The time has come! A new year is upon us and with that, new reading goals. Use this thread to share your reading goals for the year and update them as the year progresses. They can be as simple as reading a certain number of books, or they can be more specific - such as reading more non-fiction books, more comic books, etc.
Please only make ONE post per year in this thread and update it accordingly to keep track of your goals. You may provide ratings for your completed goals but this is not required. Here is an example template to get you started:

This year, I'm sticking with my usual goal of 50 books, because I just cannot come to terms with putting more pressure on myself to read. Knowing myself, I'll have a multi-month reading slump and only actually pick up the pace in July, read 15 books at once, and then refuse to pick up another book for another month or so.
BOOKS COMPLETED:
1. Jo's Boys by Louisa May Alcott (★★★☆☆)
2. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett (★★★★★)
3. The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt (★★★★☆)
4. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (★★★★★)
5. The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan (★★★★★)
6. The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan (★★★★★)

10. All My Rage by Saba'a Tahir can you tell yet that i am writing a disseratation on the international political econonomy?
I'm posting this with the hope that I'll somehow find time to read more this year although in reality, I'll most likely struggle. With that in mind, I'm going to aim low and then increase my goal if I manage to reach it!
Yes, I know it's currently blank but I will be back to edit fill in said blanks!

This year, for the first time, I’m not setting myself a goal. I just want to read whatever takes my fancy at the time, and not have to worry about reaching a certain number of books. I would like to read a variety of genres, though.
