Next shop on her list was Gladrag's. With all of the candy and sweets Papa could supply Scoot with, Vera had felt like it didn't make sense to send her anything of that variety. Instead, she wanted to find a scarf and hat combo (maybe gloves too!) that she could send her little sister for the holiday season. She was leaning towards Gryffindor red, y'know for when her bribery was successful and the sorting hat would place the youngest Thanatos female with the eldest for them to join chaotic forces. How fun that would be!
Pushing her way into the store, she was immediately accosted by a mannequin with a lovely red dress in it's hands, which she accepted even though she wasn't here for her. It WAS pretty though, so there wouldn't be any harm in trying it. But not right away, first she needed to accomplish her goal - so with it fresh in her mind she made her way over to a rack of scarves, carefully sorting through them and trying to find one she liked the best. "Hmm... blue would probably look best on her."

Joseph would have much rather taken advantage of the practically empty castle again this Hogsmeade weekend and no guilt trip from family or really anyone else could have any sway over him. What could, however, was his wardrobe and the fact that an unfortunate potions explosion had utterly destroyed his favorite black jumper and a prank of Peeves ruined another in pewter. A couple of throw pillows, now ash on the floor of the Slytherin common room, had suffered the consequences and it really was by the grace of Weeping Unicorn's titular track that he hadn't blown his top some more. Miraculous, if you believed in miracles, things happened when you jammed out hard to the right music and the Room of Requirement gave you a dope set of skins.
Far from where he imagined both his twin and little sister would be, though not outright trying to avoid them either, the Slytherin fourth year strut into Gladrags and immediately raised the volume on his portable enchanted music player just a tad more. That same titular song by Weeping Unicorn, Rainbow in the Nox, blasted into his ears via his earbuds and his head nodding along to the beat. Not exactly headbanging, but it could get to that point if he really got into the pending guitar solo.
Removing his hood as he crossed the threshold into the shop, Joseph left a trail of powdery white show in his wake as he nudged not-so-gently but not purposefully past a blonde girl looking at the gloves without an apology or any real acknowledgement. Amethyst, grape jam, eggplant, violets and other such things tinted his thoughts and he rubbed his temple in agitation before trudging forward more towards the jumpers.

Norman Carton approached Hogsmeade weekends the same way he approached everything else in life, practically and methodically. After consulting his carefully organized list of things to buy, he headed to his first stop: Gladrags. The clothing shop wasn’t a place he usually frequented, but he was looking for a present for his daughter.
As he stepped through the door, he noticed the two students (Vera & Joseph ) already in the store. “Hello, you two,” he greeted the pair, nodding in acknowledgement, though he kept the interaction brief. He wasn’t here to spoil the students’ fun… well no unless their idea of fun involved any rule-breaking. Weaving his way through the displays of clothing, his eyes were drawn to a dragonhide jacket at the back of the shop. That looked like something Normandie could use, especially if he could have extra pockets added to it. Now where was the shopkeeper?

Picking up the blue and a pair in red, Vera examined the two gloves closely - feeling the differences in the materials and trying to figure which would be the BEST option for the littlest Thanatos. It would be better if she could take them outside to ask about seeing how they held up against snow and she considered asking the shopkeep, but when she turned to do so, she changed her level of balance right as the moment a slightly older student bumped into her - producing a loud SQUEAAAAK as she began to fall backwards. "HEY!!" She caught herself on a mannequin - thank you, non person ... person - but the guy who was the cause of her near DEATH hadn't even LOOKED her way. "Excuse YOU."
She perhaps would have moved closer to him to continue to point out the RUDENESS, except just her luck Professor Carton walked in at that moment and the annoyance that was on her face was quickly replaced with that of a docile, well behaved student. As if after 3 years Carton wouldn't have any suspicions regarding the validity of that. "Hello, Professor! Are you doing some Christmas shopping as well?"

Hogsmeade dates with the girlfriend were a things every weekend that Hogwartians were allowed to visit. Olivia secretly hoped that Keighley would be spending most of her time with her today. Yes, Liv can be very greedy when it came to her little Hufflepuff. But it just wasn't about that; it was also about Charlie whom she still hated despite making her peace somewhat with the triangular love story she found herself in.
"Anything in particular you need, Keigh? I need a new scarf only but if there's something cute that catches my eyes..." Then yes. Olivia just might be spending more than she planned to. Swinging her and Keigh's joined hands, the Ravenclaw began browsing.

Plenty of time to get to those scarves.
Olivia knew that Keighley looked forward to these dates, didn't she? Perhaps she would tell her more often that these little outings together really meant a lot to her. That's why she enjoyed being able to go into Hogsmeade together and enjoy getting a bite to eat or doing a bit of shopping. This year it was also about getting to see Jude but that would be happening much later in the day.. Keigh had told him to spend the better part of this day with all of his other friends. As much as she wanted to see him, so did everyone else. Plus Livvy and her needed some girlfriend time together so yes, she was getting her all to herself for a good while today!
Ummmm...
Now that was a good question. Did she NEED anything? Keighley smiled softly, as their hands swung between them. "I don't think so? But that's never really kept me from getting anything before." Which meant that chances were high she would end up buying at least one item before they left the shop. Perhaps a new blouse or maybe a new warm winter hat.

Liv too enjoyed these dates. They made her beyond happy! Not to mention today was a good day and she just felt it in her bones that nothing could go wrong. Since she and Keighley had left their plans pretty much open for the day, winging it would be a delight. Did she mind letting Jude have some of it with his sister? No. This just wasn’t because Liv was certain she’d make the young mad livid if she tried to take Keigh for herself; she had long come to understand that no one could and should interfere with those two.
“To the scarves then! Maybe we can find a matching pair.” Wouldn’t it be a delight for them to match up on occasion? “House scarves are always a nice wear but switching it up sometimes would be nice, don’t you think?" Olivia led the way to the scarves, keeping her eyes peeled for anything in the shop which she categorised as ‘cute’.

These dates were a breathe of fresh air at the end of the week and a time to have fun and relax together, away from their studies and the confides of the castle and its grounds. Keighley was glad that Liv was very understanding when it came to Jude, as much as she loved her girlfriend.. and it was a whole ton, no one could come between her and her brother. Their time together wasn't much anymore and Keigh really looked forward to it whenever she got the chance. As it was, she was doing her very best to balance her time between everyone so that no one felt like they weren't getting enough time with her. Sometimes, this was easier said than done but she managed.
A matching pair of scarves?! The girlfriend was speaking her language now! "That would be so cute!" Yes, please! "You know as well as anyone that I love color in my wardrobe and that I like matching with others whenever a chance arises for me to do so! We can wear our matching scarves out on our dates!" Walks with her towards the scarves, arm in arm, happily humming a random little tune.

Olivia didn’t even share that tight of a relationship with her brother, Oliver Jnr. But that was fine, their relationship was a rather decent one and it wasn’t as though their parents had to worry about the siblings wanting to throttle each other every second. Still, there was a massive amount of respect of Keighley and Jude’s relationship even if Olivia had resigned herself that there were going to be times that Keigh might need Jude over anyone else; even her. And certainly even Charlie, a thought which pleased her immensely
It came as no surprise that her Little Hufflepuff liked the idea. Liv could not help but smile at the enthusiasm that filled the air as a result of the suggestion. “That I know all too well,’’ the Ravenclaw chirped, thinking of all of the colourful stuff the girlfriend usually wore. “Then we’d better find a brightly coloured pair for us today!” She was already rummaging through the stock. “Maybe something with glitter… or sequins…” In other words, something shiny.

Were there many siblings that had the kind of relationship that she had with her brother Jude? Honestly she wasn't sure. She knew many sets of siblings that were close but her and her brother.. they never even fought. Not once. Playful teasing, sure but nothing apart from that. So when it came down to things, Liv was probably right. There were very likely going to be times when she would need him above anyone else. Sorry to those she loved dearly but.. there was just a bond there that no one else could match with.
Oh, absolutely! When it came to dressing up and looking pretty, this girl was all in! Sure a scarf wasn't the highest ranking accessory in her wardrobe but one that matched her girlfriend, well that was going to score above the others. The Hufflepuff smiled. "Of course you do. You've seen some of my more colorful outfits." It was fun to be creative and mix and match clothing to fit her personality or different moods.
"Yesssssss! Only the very best ones will do!" The sixth year giggled excitedly as she followed along, bouncing at Livvy's side. "Glitter! Sequins!" Both of those would do splendidly!

Then Liv would never have an issue of being placed ahead of Jude, or anyone else in the Anders’ family, for that matter. The thing that stood out starkly about that family was how close they were. Liv pitied anyone who tried to come between any of the members.
‘Colourful’ should have been the girlfriend’s middle name because Keighley clearly adored all things bright! Olivia thought that this fondness was perfect as all the colours made one think about happy stuff, which was what Keighley was: a tiny human that radiated joy wherever she went. Keighley was also right about one thing: only the best for them!
It was at that moment that Liv spotted a yellow and pink scarf. Plucking it from the rack, she could see the material shimmer as it moved and reflected in the light. “Look at this!” she called excitedly. “The shinies seem to be woven into the material!’’ Not to mention said material was rather soft but sturdy.

This was just a fact and she was glad that her partners both understood this, mainly Liv. Keigh was sure that there would be times in their lives though that she was going to need Liv more than anyone else or that she might need Charlie. It all really depended on the situation but right now, well she was very happy that she had her girlfriend at her side.
No one tell her this, otherwise she might go and try to get it added onto her name! Being colorful made her feel happy and happiness was also very much a Keighley thing.
Huh?! Now why, her Raven was calling out to her like that she didn't know (since she was literally right beside her still hehe) but the excitement in her voice was lovely. The blonde turned her head to see what was being shown to her and her eyes lite up brightly at the sight of it. "It's shiny and shimmer and-and.." Her hand reached out to gently touch the scarf, rubbing the material between her fingers. "Silky soft! It's beautiful!" The color pattern was fairly simple with only two colors but two that normally weren't paired together often. Oh, yes. She liked this one very much.

It was all because of Liv’s own excitement that made her call out. Woops! A huge sorry to anyone who may have thought she was being too loud and obnoxious. Her attention was too much on Keighley, though, to be properly caring about what anyone else might be thinking. She was busy watching her little Puff light up. Olivia couldn’t help but grin at that and Keigh’s reaction. “Right? I don’t think I’d want to ever stop wearing it.” She turned her attention back to the rack, another scarf was extracted from the mix.
“This one’s for you!” See? They both can sport identical scarves now! “Do you see anything else you might want?” Because at the moment, Liv didn’t. “By the way, the scarf -and anything else - is my treat to you.” Spoiling the love of her life? Yes, Olivia enjoyed doing that to the maximum and planned on doing this for the rest of their lives together.

Purchasing a new pair of gloves was Florence's main goal as she entered the shop, but it certainly wasn't her only one. If they happened to have something else that caught her eye, she wasn't opposed to adding that to her selection too. In fact, she hoped they did. Interesting and pretty new additions to her wardrobe were always welcome.
First, however, she would focus on the gloves. The knit pair she was wearing now were nice enough, but they were also a couple years old. She needed something new. Perhaps even a matching gloves and scarf set? It would depend on the options they had.
Hm...
This pair of black knit gloves with a snowflake on the back were quite charming. But this silver and white pair was also quite lovely. The Slytherin held both of them up, one pair in each hand, eyes scanning back and forth between them as she tried to make her decision.

Did she really need any new clothing? Probably not, but that didn’t stop Giselle from making Gladrags her first stop upon arriving in Hogsmeade. Mum would be disappointed if she didn’t stay aware of current trends, anyhow. Probably. Somebody would be, or maybe it was just that she’d be disappointed in herself. Either way, it was an important stop, as she unwound the Slytherin scarf from around her neck upon beginning to peruse the displays.
No need to overheat after all. Fainting wasn’t appropriate, or at least not when there weren’t any boys nearby to catch her if she did. Not that she ever expected Rome to be in here, but she was open toother options.
The younger housemate didn’t count, but she’d drifted closer to Florence after a moment or two even so. “I’d go for the silver pair, personally, but then I might be biased”, she commented, casting her gaze on the gloves in the younger girl’s hands. Because green and silver, of course. Not any other reason.

Florence heard the shop door open, signaling that someone else had entered the shop, but it was only when they spoke that she finally looked in their direction. She supposed it wasn't a surprise to find one of her older housemates here, especially one who generally seemed to have a decent sense of style like Giselle. It was for that reason that Florence actually gave her suggestion a few moments of thoughtful consideration.
Then she nodded. "I agree." She set the black pair back on the shelf. "Thanks." She had felt a little more inclined toward the silver and white pair, but sometimes it was difficult to really decide when there wasn't a strong feeling. Sometimes a second opinion did help solidify your own. "What are you looking for here?"

She respected the pause for consideration. It was entirely unsurprising, to be honest, and Giselle would have questioned had the younger girl just immediately accepted or declined her input. Although, there was something to be said for a Slytherin not accepting unasked-for advice. There was just as much reason to accept it, in her eyes.
“You’re welcome”, she responded simply, giving the younger girl a smile. Whether it was simple agreement or just being tipped over the edge into the direction she was headed didn’t matter.
“Hm?”, she continued as the next question was asked, with a shrug. “Nothing in particular. Just seeing if there was anything new.”

Now that she had selected her gloves, she was ready to look at other items. And if Giselle had nothing in particular on the agenda at the moment, then Florence would be happy to lead the way.
"They do seem to get new things pretty regularly," she agreed. It was a relief too, because if she had to wait until she was on holiday from Hogwarts to get new things to add to her wardrobe, she might have requested to be homeschooled. Even if uniforms were what she had to wear a majority of the time, it was still nice to have a bit of variety for the times when she could freely wear what she wanted. "I want to see if they have any scarves to match." And so she moved over to that section.

The hogsmeade weekend was here and JT left the castle as soon as he could after breakfast to explore the interesting shops and maybe just maybe take a little peek at the haunted shrieking shack. He had some pocket money to spend and after a visit to honeydukes, the second year dark haired boy stepped into Gladrags to get some clothing items.
One JT's least favourite things was clothes shopping. He disliked trying on clothes, it always made him feel self-concious, and ugly. Moving over to the stall with clothing items for the outside JT mumbled to himself. "Please can there be earmuffs and gloves that aren't too girrrrrrrrrly?"

First Hogsmeade weekend! Well, technically not since she had come here on several occasions with mum and dad or out with one of her numerous aunties and then the one time with her reluctant grumpy uncle but this was the first time she was coming to Hogsmeade of her own accord and not through any of the floo networks and as a Hogwarts students. Just like with her first train ride, it was positively vital that she do her first Hogsmeade trip justice and that naturally meant a trip to the Three Broomsticks which she had already taken with some of her dormmates because that was just want one must do. Of course she needed to do something with her brother or else he would write home and claim that she had abandoned him (lies!) but before she met up with him at Honeydukes she was going to do something for herself. Something that made her sophisticated and grown up, because she was in coming to Hogsmeade unchaperoned by family, and she would know what she was looking for when she found it probably some socks because she did not have that much coin on her.
Pushing her glasses up with her palm, Iris perused the various displays and gazed longingly at the vibrant robes and shimmering accessories. As she reached for a set of dress robes in elegant aubergine purple, her thumb brushing over the embroidered butterfly inside the sleeve that fluttered away to settle elsewhere on the garment, the 11-year-old couldn’t help but imagine her own closet brimming with the latest fashions. Each piece seemed to whisper promises of adventure and confidence, and she daydreamed of casting spells in the finest attire and the flavor of condensed milk and cocoa tickled her taste buds. Her fantasies were interrupted when she heard grumbling nearby and her stern expression brightened seeing who it was.
"Define girly," she hummed as she peered around the frock on the mannequin she had been admiring to smile at the older Slytherin. "You know that's all just an idea from society and just thing people made up, right?"

JT just stared down at all the many fluffy pink, purple and yellow earmuffs and glove options, and inwardly shuddered as he kept on perusing. Didn't Gladrags have a clothing section for boys? Surely they must want to sell clothes to boy's and girl's? Lifting his head up to peer around to see if he could see if there was a labeled boy section when his eyes landed on Iris, appearing around the frock of a mannequin. JT's grumbling was replaced with a genuine broad smile in greeting of the slightly younger girl. "Oh hi Iris!"
Pondering a few seconds since he detected a slight tone in Iris voice he said with a gesture to the earmuffs nearby on display. "By girly I mean lots of pink, purple and yellow thingsies like these fluffy earmuffs. Her statement about the girly being a made up idea by society went way over his head. Still gesturing to the earmuffs JT pleaded with his friend. "Iris, can you pretty please help me find some earmuffs that are black or darkgreen or something. I can't buy pink ones, the boys in the snake den wouldn't let me hear the end of it." JT wanted to avoid causing to much attention to himself if he could avoid it.
