| Middle Floors The central floors of the castle contain several classrooms, the headmaster's office, and numerous nooks and crannies to explore. Be careful around the portraits, they are not known to be the best at keeping gossip to a minimum. |

| | Hospital Wing The cleanest room in the entire castle is, for more than obvious reasons, the hospital wing. Considering this is a magical school and accidents happen, it is not uncommon to see students and even staff being sent or brought here throughout the school year. Rest assured that no matter what mishap or injury you have, the school healer will have you fixed up and back to normal in no time ... depending on the severity, of course.
The primary feature of this decent-sized room are a series of standard issued beds. Accompanying each bed is a set of dividers, meant to give the person staying here privacy, and a wheeled table at the foot of it containing a jar of crystal clear water, glasses, and a vase of brightly coloured flowers. For those staying overnight, the bedside tables contain a set of sterile pyjamas and a pair of clean socks that are charmed to adjust and fit the wearer. Two steel chairs have been provided for visitors -- these are not the most comfortable as the patients here need plenty of rest in order to recover quickly. As per the job description, the healer rarely leaves the room when there are patients under his care and is always on call.
Alongside a storage room and a small clean bathroom for patient use, the healer has an office just off to one side of the main hospital wing where you can speak with him privately, either about medical concerns or in regards to the subject he teaches: Charms. OOC: Please do not play for the Healer. They are played by Charely Potter, will be happy to help your character.

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Professor Cole did his best to not let the second year Ravenclaw get too far behind, slowing his long-legged stride to a more responsible pace as they made their way up the moving stairs in the quickest route to the third floor. He was certainly taking more note of the dulling of the color that he previously had seemed to have ignored around the castle. Pushing open one of the large wooden doors despite his reluctance to touch anything since the growing patches of gray had started spreading over his own features, he held it open for his charge to proceed him while looking around for Ean or any others that might be in the vicinity.

Greer was happy to have Professor Cole with her. She would have been worried all on her own. "Will the Heal-ah be able to help us?" Wondering if the "greyness" would be continue to spread. "Profess-ah Cole what if no one can fix us. Whaaat if!" Greer was reaching full blown panick mode again.

Ean had been racking his brains on the dilemma. His whole common room had been lacking colour and no amount of cleaning projects seemed to help as it seemed to spread all through the lower levels. In his room away from room, the hospital wing didn't have much colour already but without the labels, it would've proved much difficult to distinguish each ingredient, potion, etc. he kept in stock.
Ean was in the middle of going through his stock inventory when he received word from his colleague that they were on their way with a student. Their voices alerted him as he turned to see, "Hello Marcus and... Miss Murray?" Not that he was unfamiliar with his own student. It was just her appearance had changed considerably since his previous lesson. A number of students and his own colleagues were looking on the pale side, especially one of his own kiddos, but she seemed to be a walking statue at this point. Marcus still had color but the more he stared the quicker that was changing. "Come on over and have a seat on one of the beds." It wasn't like they could get any grayer. "Miss Murray, I know this must be upsetting but we will get this resolved. Can you share when your condition started and how fast it took to get to this point?" He knew what caused it from other reports, but protocols required getting all the details. |

It has so col-ah Profess-ah, no col-ah at all" Greer shook her head, at this point she was barely even aware that he speech was so far off. And she could no longer control it. What in the name of Merlin is going on. "And the House Elf Profess-ah, the house elf has no colo-ah either." She sighed, she had blamed the house elf, but she knew it was not his fault. "By the time I got to the court y-aard I was completely grey." She sighed, "And went I reached out to Profess-ah Cole like this he changed col-ah to." She showed reached out on touching the arm of other Professor, Greer pulled back her hand quickly. "Oops, I'm so sorry, did I get you to! I didn't mean to!"

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna “We shall have tah see,” he remarked truthfully, just as the man in question turned to acknowledge their presence in his abode. Marcus hoped Ean might have knowledge of something they could work with, but it wasn’t certain by any means. IT’s not like they could keep this to themselves anyway, so reaching out to the rest of the staff and headmaster, or even to other healers would be the next steps perhaps. For one thing though, it was clear his collegue was brought up short by their appearance, at least Ms Murray’s. “Hello,” he returned, letting the girl take a seat before resigning himself to follow, more leaning instead of sitting. Arms crossed across his chest to keep them away from other things. His charge was far more worse off and the priority right now even if he could be considered a patient of Ean’s as well. Listening again as Ms. Murray described the course of events for a new audience, the former Ravenclaw continued to think on what he might know that could help. Too slow to stop it, Marcus couldn’t help but frown as the girl touched the healer. “We’re pretty sure its spread by tach… whatevah it is.”
Wait…was he speaking weird too?

Yep, infected by touch and change in accent. It appeared the affects were increasing at a faster speed. "I see.." Ean said while jotting it down. For records and all.
When he was touched though, he paid it no mind. "Ah, no matter, Miss Murray it was bound to happen and I don't expect the results to be permanent. The infection didn't spread outside the school when theywere sent home during the holiday months ago." Considering Marcus was infected recently, Ean had maybe an hour or two at most before he fully joined the gray side. "For now let's focus on getting this resolved... often with any ailment, a cure involves tampering with the infection to become a cure. Then re-introducing it into the body. With that in mind, we'll need to bring the colour back onto us and the rooms." It may have sounded garbled with his thought process. "We'll need ingredients... Marcus, Miss Murray, any ideas on what could be used for that?" His own suggestion. "I would think fashioning some type of skin care cream but touching it could tamper with the results before it worked its magic." Excuse the pun, it was his go-to to make light of the situation to ease concerns. |

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna At least Ean wasn’t sore about unintentionally being brought into the lack of color club. It would be interesting to see how fast the changes occurred amongst the different people affected. Yeah, that was the Ravenclaw scholar mind of Marcus’ talking, always curious, even in amongst…complicated situations. It distracted the herbology professor from noticing the gradually leaching of his own color. But then his attention was peaked as the healer spoke of a cure…with ingredients. That wasn’t spell work, that was something he himself could work with seeing as many plants could be used as potions ingredients.
Now just which ones could work?
His brow furrowed as Marcus went to work thinking over the options that might help out. “Dit-tah---” he started to suggest before shaking his head. Too easy and more for cuts and wounds. “It may be making us LOOK like statues but not petrifying so not mandrake.” At least he hoped not as they had a supply of the plants in the greenhouse but it would take a lot and some time to come up with a remedy from them. His eyes lit up as something potentially useful did come to mind. “Perhaps something with diluted bubotubah pus? Helps with skin conditions at least, though not sure how that would work on the clothing and the CASTLE.”

Ean had to consider a number of factors with a solution. One thing that was already established was touching was a no go. Otherwise, they'd be back to square one. That also eliminated ingesting the product. "Hmm, you're right, Marcus, that would help remove the bad bacteria... but how to add it on physical objects..." And then something clicked, a subject he had adapted well into. "Hang on ... muggles often incorporate dyes into their clothing and objects to add colour physically.. but to avoid their skin touching the dye they fashion sort of gun to spray or shoot the color on." Why didn't he think of that sooner? "Could it perhaps be diluted into a water solution with the bubotubah pus or another herb of sort?" Brainstorming. "It'd be worth a shot testing it out." Can't lose anymore colour than already, but if it didn't work... Well, there would be another solution for this on the way. |

| Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Here Marcus had been thinking on the substance and Ean seemed to on the right track to the application. “Tuh could work,” he agreed, absently touching his hand to his chin as his tried to elaborate on his collegue’s train of thought. “Tuere are a lot of plants that could work as a dye…ironically the subject of one of my lessons this year.” Ironic…coincidence…or just gosh darn completely helpful perhaps, even if the lesson was back in January and the herbologist had to think back. “Though I would rule out the woad, historically used as a type of tattoo ink. We want tuh bring back color, not permanently stain blue.” Even being washed out of color was better than being like one of those muggle smurf things. “How about something with water-diluted bubatubah pus and fluxweed, the fluxweed modifying everything’s current appearance much like it does in Polyjuice potion?” It seemed like a good thought to work with as they did want to cause a change or return to normal if they could manage this. “Perhaps create one or two variants adding different dye plants to the mixture to see what works best.” Moly come to mind, the professor thinking its own magical properties might help pull it all together.
