Second Floor: Headmaster's Office

The Headmaster's office consists of a fairly straightforward, largely unremarkable set-up. Directly across from the door, a large desk and some chairs - one behind the desk for the Headmaster, and two in front of it for visitors. As is the tradition in this office, portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses cover the walls. Beneath the portraits, bookshelves. Here you will find, predictably enough, books, as well as the Sorting Hat, prominently displayed on a high shelf.

If you're looking for the Headmaster, there's a chance you'll find him here. Whether you have an appointment or are showing up unannounced, state your intentions to the stone gargoyles and wait. Only the Headmaster and the other Hogwarts staff hold the password to to the office, and the gargoyles won't budge unless they hear it. So hold tight, because attempting to gain entry in any other way will only end badly for you. These gargoyles, they're always watching.

Now, Bryony had planned to come and speak with Headmaster Winterbottom personally shortly after her chat with Professor Carton. However, things hadn't quite gone as planned. Lessons very quickly took over for a short time and she choose to first get all those under control. Once she had the swing of fourth year annnnnnnd Quidditch tryouts were completed, there was no better time to move forward with speaking to the Headmaster.

This is how she ended up stood in front of the two very large Gargoyles that led to the man's office, bouncing lightly on her toes. Did she have an appointment? No, no she didn't. Perhaps she should've thought about that beforehand but she was already here. So with a bright smile on her face and a cheerful voice she told the Gargoyles exactly why she was here. "Hello, is like to speak with Headmaster Winterbottom if he's in his office please. It's about Animagi Training." Just in case he wanted to know why she was waiting outside his office all of a sudden.
